We chose this hotel in part because it had a pool, so we were disappointed to find out that the pool was closed for the entire weekend due to maintenance. We understand that maintenance issues can come up, but since this was one of the main amenities we specifically chose the hotel for, it was frustrating that there was no discount or other accommodation offered for the inconvenience. Had we known ahead of time that the pool would be unavailable, we likely would have chosen a different hotel. Overall, the stay was fine, but the lack of communication and compensation for a major advertised amenity being unavailable was disappointing.

The pool was shut down by the Johnson County Health Department, which forced them to drain and clean everything in the pool/hot tub and surrounding areas. We had called before booking to make sure the pool was open, and we were told it was. After checking in, it was shut down for a “random” inspection, and we were told it would take about 15 minutes. After waiting a couple hours, it was confirmed that there were serious health issues and would not reopen until they were able to pass inspection. Second time in 2 stays my family has had a bad experience with an IHG property. 5 years ago was our last time dealing with IHG, and they stole A LOT of money from me because they “could not” figure out how to fix their mistake of double charging us for a vacation in Omaha

This is one our places to stay when it is with the whole fam. We love the room and the comfortable beds. This time it was just 2 of us, so we had a smaller room, while not at all like the suite, it was still nice and comfy. The restaurant that is inside the hotel is perfect, great atmosphere and the food was excellent.
