Garner Hotel Paducah West

This hotel is just okay. The property was well maintained. The room was average but since they allow pets there was quite a bit of pet hair on the floors and in the beds. The bathrooms are clean and stocked with the necessities. The noise level from outside and inside the hotel seemed a bit higher than ordinary, so if you’re a light sleeper beware. Breakfast was what you’d expect from a hotel. Overall the stay was just okay but if I’m ever back in town I’d probably stay somewhere else.

The first room we were assigned was not ready for use, the second room had a very dirty floor, orange peels under the desk - however, Amy, the cleaning staff woman, came in and cleaned it up very nicely and was extremely courteous.

The room was clean. The mattresses on both beds are in need of changing out. The breakfast was not great. There are close options. The pool is nice.

We arrived late night after driving for 7 hours to learn that they had overbooked and given our room away. They didn't have another suite to replace it, so our 6'3" exchange student that was traveling with us had to sleep on a little cot that could only be placed right in front of the bathroom door. There was a reason I had booked a suite with a separated area for him to sleep in. After all that we didn't get to sleep until after 2am and then I was awoken at 6am by the guests above us. You could hear every single step they took. Needless to say all of this was frustrating, but the staff was nice and the room was clean. They definitely need to work on their system though, that allows for them to overbook and give away rooms that guests are planning on.
