Hotel Provincial

This historic hotel was clean and comfortable very close to everything in the corner that I wanted to go to. I did not however have the opportunity to use their pool. The pool did look very nice and clean. The courtyard was relaxing and pretty. Everything was maintained very nicely.

Everything was really nice. The bar was terrific. The $50.00 per day for parking was ridiculous for paying stayers.

We were only there one night, without a chance to appreciate the bar or the brunch. We walked around a lot though, and I was very pleased with the neighborhood immediately surrounding the hotel—quiet and refined. I wish I had realized how very large the hotel was, however. We were in a separate building in the very far back of the parking lot, and just felt very separated. It overlooks the French Market, with loud music playing most of the day. If I could rebook, I’d select a room around the pool or the courtyard. I feel like we didn’t get to enjoy the best of the hotel based or where our room location was, even though I did book the “Premium” style. Although the staff was lovely, as was the location, I think I would look for either a smaller hotel or be certain of my room.

Very friendly staff. Safe. Very French Quarter feel and vibe. We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s walking distance to great restaurants and bars. Our room was very clean and in order. Will stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

Overall great location in the quarter, staff was friendly and helpful with local knowledge. The property is historic and this leads to the only negative, don't expect the details to be like new construction polished. Old plumbing, cracked tiles here and there, musty smell now and then. Not an "avoid" issue, but have correct expectations. You are paying MOSTLY for the great location, in this sense, definitely worth it.
