Old historic building. That is part of its charm. The rooms were very clean. There is no elevator, which is disclosed in the site so we expected it. Very secure, you have to be buzzed in to enter, and the parking is fenced and buzz in as well.

Shocked to find no elevator! We are are elderly with mobility issues and we had to climb very long stairs to get to our 2nd floor room. Also, maid service never came.

The staff was great and they hold your room key for you while you are out exploring the area. The building is secure and requires you to buzz in to enter the building. It was clean and very nice property. It was advised to not walk at night around that area, but we did during the week with no issues and on the busier weekend, we took an uber/lyft right to the door. There was no time that we didn't feel safe staying at this property and would book again in the future!

It was hard to locate. No sign. Address was small. Once we found the place it was great. The GPS kept directing us to the back of the building and there was no sign there either. We were starting to think there was no such address and that maybe it was sort of scam. But the lady on duty was very sweet and helpful. The swimming pool bottoms needed vacumning bad. But other than that-when we found it and got inside-oh my goodness- it is just gorgeous and clean and comfortable. We will stay there again!!!!!

Friendly staff. Clean room and facilities. Pools are cold, but clean. My room was windowless (only door had window), but in-unit temperature controls worked well and kept it from feeling stuffy. Super convenient location.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very kind, always greeting us as we came and went, questioning us about our day and if we needed anything. The bed was comfortable, the shower was large. The hotel is a converted home from the early 1900 s or late 1800s and the conversion was nicely done. Note: there is no elevator and the stairs are steep in the main house although there is an addition that has ground level rooms. Our bathroom did have a leak in the ceiling but beside letting them know it was there it didn’t mess up our stay at all. We arrived earlier than check in and they held our luggage so we could go to lunch and even helped us find something very close. The hotel is just outside the French Quarter so we walked most days but also took the streetcar as there is a stop across the street. A couple of times when it was raining, we used Uber which was always very fast and reasonable. We would stay here again!

Good location, the hotel itself was pretty. There is no elevator so if you are on the 3rd floor like we were be prepared to lug your bags up 2 flights of steps. Front desk personnel was mostly friendly, one guy not so much and he was there for most of our stay. Rooms are nice enough, pretty small, not a lot of space, no fridge, no safe, no full length mirror, but the bed was comfy. There is on-site parking which was a plus. Overall it's a decent hotel and the price was right especially for Jazzfest weekend.

The stay here at the Courtyard Hotel was awesome. The room was nice and the AC worked well. The location was great very walkable to the French Quarter and there is even a fenced parking lot attached. The pools were gorgeous and really helped with the NOLA heat/humidity combo.The facility felt very safe with a buzzer on each entrance. The room was a little quirky with the overhead fan being controlled by a remote that was missing and the lamps were nonfunctionial, but with the great AC the room was cool enough and the overhead lights were enough. Overall a super posittive experience and would book again.

Convenient area. Courtyard was nice. Showers took forever to get warm. On our last day we had a cockroach in our room and weird black bugs crawling the walls, that was a big NO THANKS for us.

The room was ok and clean. Outside patio and pool areas filty and unuseable. Pools were unsanitary. Parking area gate didn't operate and not a good neighbor. Fast food places like Dominos and Pizza hut would not deliver to us there.

It was a beautiful place but there was no noise control so staying by the pool was a bit rough. Some of the staff were lovely others were rude. Housekeeping was sporadic and the parking is $30/day. We chose street parking and just walked everywhere.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel, very clean, super nice staff, comfortable beds and we felt very safe as there is always someone on the main desk and you must buzz to get into the property. Very nice courtyard and a gas station next door with AMAZING fried chicken and yummy ham breakfast sandwiches. Walking distance to everywhere in the French Quarter and a bus stop outside the front door. Highly recommend this hotel and I would happily stay here again.

For a one-night stay, probably the best experience weve ever had. The staff was amazing and the room was amazingly comfortable and clean. The location in relation to the French Quarter couldnt be better. We will stay again.

The room was good for one night's stay. Bed was really comfortable just not a fan of the feather pillows. New Orleans is historic and so was the hotel just could use some updates. The shower curtain didn't fit in the shower so there was water every where from taking showers. If i every port or of New Orleans again I'd try a different place. Quiet for the area and 4 minutes to the French quarter.

Had an amazing experience at the hotel and in NOLA. I feel that I picked the perfect hotel. My only complaint was how loud we could hear the people in the room above us.

The room was too small, had inadequate storage. I guess I can understand the logic in no breakfast but it was not a cheap stay and cold coffee didn't help. The staff was fine but the method to gain entry by the front door was very poor.

Location was good and room was spacious and good but isolation was terrible. it was very noisy (close to a main road) and you could hear everything from the room next door…. In addition I had an issue with reception regarding leaving my suitcase on check out. I contacted the hotel several times but never got a response….

Checkin was just ok. The desk clerk did on give clear directions on how to get to our room and directions to the secured parking lot were very vague. In the room it took over 5 minutes to get hot water in the shower. The water pressure in the shower was just a trickle. Disappointed

We paid for the private parking which was nice and easy. $35/day. One downside is it is right off Rampart St which is super loud it seems at all hours. Which is somewhat expected for New Orleans, but it seemed the walls were paper thin cause we heard EVERYTHING. Also, you have to be “buzzed” into the hotel to get to your room. Your room key does NOT get you into the building. Several times we came back in the evening, once around 7:30 pm and again around 9 pm and nobody was at the front desk to let us in. We had to bang on the door and finally housekeeping let us in. Major inconvenience.
We paid for the private parking which was nice and easy. $35/day. One downside is it is right off Rampart St which is super loud it seems at all hours. Which is somewhat expected for New Orleans, but it seemed the walls were paper thin cause we heard EVERYTHING. Also, you have to be “buzzed” into the hotel to get to your room. Your room key does NOT get you into the building. Several times we came back in the evening, once around 7:30 pm and again around 9 pm and nobody was at the front desk to let us in. Positvite - rooms were ready earlier than anticipated. The vintage look of the rooms was charming, and there was ample space in the suites. The separate sitting area was great. Check in staff was friendly. Negative - could never get more than two towels per room and no replenishing of toiletries (despite asking more than once.) Additional per-room/per night fees for "incidentals" but there were no actual incidentals charges incurred, aside from free WiFi. Again, not sure what the "incidentals" fees actually covered. No concerns with walking to and from the FQ. Did not really notice any bothersome street noise. Walls are thin so noisy guests did present a problem at 3am.

The night clerk and security guard was very friendly and accommodating however the day shift clerks was rude and unfriendly. One clerk stayed on her phone and rarely looked up to engage in conversation.

Why it matters: it requires a fob to unlock the door to the building. No signage outside to help overcome this issue. 2- no elevator to 2nd floor 3- noisy (hotel is ideal for those coming in late from French quarter).

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very kind, always greeting us as we came and went, questioning us about our day and if we needed anything. The bed was comfortable, the shower was large. The hotel is a converted home from the early 1900 s or late 1800s and the conversion was nicely done. Note: there is no elevator and the stairs are steep in the main house although there is an addition that has ground level rooms. Our bathroom did have a leak in the ceiling but beside letting them know it was there it didn’t mess up our stay at all. We arrived earlier than check in and they held our luggage so we could go to lunch and even helped us find something very close. The hotel is just outside the French Quarter so we walked most days but also took the streetcar as there is a stop across the street. A couple of times when it was raining, we used Uber which was always very fast and reasonable. We would stay here again!

This is a great and historic property with high ceilings and beautiful rooms. It’s a bit of a walk to the French Quarter, but it’s much less crowded . The street can get loud at night with people blaring music into the wee hours so bring earplugs and you’ll be fine!

The hotel has a lot of charm. Easy to walk to Bourbon Street etc. The pool was nice. The only downfall was that the outside street is very noisy and it made it hard to sleep.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel, very clean, super nice staff, comfortable beds and we felt very safe as there is always someone on the main desk and you must buzz to get into the property. Very nice courtyard and a gas station next door with AMAZING fried chicken and yummy ham breakfast sandwiches. Walking distance to everywhere in the French Quarter and a bus stop outside the front door. Highly recommend this hotel and I would happily stay here again.

This hotel was in a great location for walking to bourbon St. and French Quarter. You do have to ring a bell to get into the hotel as it is locked at all times (as much as this seemed like an inconvenience) it made me feel safe. One of my only cons is not having a refrigerator in the room.

The hotel was simple and clean. If you are looking for a quiet place just outside the quarter for a good price this is it. Coffee and pastries were served in the morning in the great room as well as a private coffee machine in the room.24 hour staff and security. I would recommend this place.

A nice hotel right on the edge of the French Quarter. The location was good. The room was basic but had a very good bed and the shower was nice. The muffins/croissants in the morning were a bit scant, but were a bonus because we weren’t expecting any breakfast. There was a very quaint courtyard area to sit outside our room or dip in the pool. I’d just suggest you bring your earplugs because the street noise is very loud.

The location is amazing. Only a 15 min walk to Cafe du Monde. Bed was fairly comfortable, room was clean. Very limited hot water in shower, maybe 10 mins. We requested an extra set of towels (3 people in room) they gave us hand towels, even when we requested shower towels (twice). That wasn’t a huge deal, just inconvenient when after a cold shower that’s all we had. Lastly, they offer coffee and pastries from 7:30-10:30am. At 8 am, the pastry tray was empty there was only coffee. When I asked about it, the girl at the desk told me they were gone.
