Comfort Inn West Monroe near Sports & Events Center

The amenities were non-existent, the grounds were unkept. Water was brown. We had to switch rooms once because someone had used our toilet before we got to the room. The room we ended up in was clean and the beds were decent. The lady at the front was nice and accommodating. The breakfast was good and the usual that you would get at a continental breakfast.

FALSE ADVERTISING-no fitness center

Everything was great. The only caution is if you have a large vehicle with a trailer or boat, you can't drive through the parking lot. It ends on one side. The good thing is Chili's right next to the hotel will let you park there with no problems

Property not in good condition. Dead spider on the bathroom floor. Parking is chaotic with cars and trailers parking around the hotel like covered wagons circling & protecting. People believe this is necessary because the approach to the hotel is almost from 360 degrees of parking lots of restaurants, taverns & shops (ie : people are worried about car security).

The internet was down and the towels were bath towels were rough could use a little softening.

When we arrived clerk didn’t smile or welcome us. Water was yellow. Bed was uncomfortable. You could hear people above us walking. Went to work out the next morning and found out it’s a storage room. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

Had to change rooms due to dirty toilet and dirty floors. Noticed multiple exterior doors unsecured by staff. Don’t let the “clean”reviews fool you. Obviously we were staying on a budget, but this was the worst $140 hotel stay I’ve ever experienced.

Room is ok. Water is brown coming out of shower. Fitness center is permanently closed which is not what they advertised

Didnt care for tge construction going on in lobby. Enjoyed quiet nice room. Staff very helpful.

TV didn’t work. Tried to call the front desk but the room phone didn’t work. Called from my cell phone and they were able to walk me through to get the TV working but the remote ended up not working for the timer. Toilet was dirty as it looked like there was urine in it. Flushed it right away but the color was still there. When I went to use the shampoo that was on the bathroom sink, there was a hair on it. Bathroom and shower faucets were hard to move.

Dirty rooms , refrigerator didn’t work ,Indian guy in the front desk very rude , and we saw two roaches in our room 😔

This is a 1 star property at best. Very dated. At almost 200 bucks a night with taxes you would expect way more. Stayed 3 days. Dirty towels with black stains. Yellow stains on sheets. Brown toilet. Remote control broken. Fridge had 2 temps warm or frozen. Stains on ceiling. Tub missing porcelain. Smelled like weed. Kids running up and down the hall all night. Elevator had sticky floor for 2 days. Breakfast no juice or fruit. Staff was nice. Two cats and frogs outside cool. Was convenient to things seemed safe outside. Just expected more at price.

The outside was so stinky and the room was dirty.

The Staff was very friendly and helpful. However that did little to make up for a smell in the room, the floors were dirty, the paint was peeling in the bathroom.

Overall stay was okay. The rooms cleanliness was not the best per se. That needs to be addressed other than that everything else was okay

The room was on the smaller side and the bathroom was even worse. The toilet seat lid was broken. The water had a yellow tint. The linens smelled bad. The pillows were the size of throw pillows. The only positive was the AC blew nice and cold.

The mattress was not good at all. My back hurt the next day. The bedding was not good and there was a musty type smell in the room.

The entry door had a hard time closing and so did the restroom door. The blinds were broke. there is a hole in the wall where the smoke detector is supposed to go and the entire room needed an overhaul.

The hotel is old and showing every one of its years. The paint was pealing, acs didnt adequately cool. Curtains barely covered windows, locks didnt work and the tv woildnt turn on. You could hear everything above and next to you. Bed was comfy and breakfast was fine. Definitely not worth the $$$ i paid.

Woke up sweating every single night. The air conditioning unit was terrible and my room stayed muggy throughout my entire week stay.

My room is as small to have two beds in it, the bathroom door was a nuisance it was in the way , why? Very disappointed with my stay there, soap rack rusted out, bathroom veeerrryyyy small for two people,this hotel needs walk in showers , I guess I was assigned this room because I booked thru Expedia and you they had the nerve to hold incidentals on my card, really!

This hotel staff was very friendly. Hotel is a little dated. Rooms are small but overall nice place.

Shannon was helpful upon check in. We went to our room and it was clean and smelled nice. We went back to the front desk and Shannon referred us to a wonderful dinner restaurant.

The first room they put us in, the toilet wouldn’t flush, they changed rooms and it wasn’t much better but this morning at 6:45am we were awaken by a knock on the door tell us we we had to leave the room because they had scheduled repairs for that room and they should have never put us in that room. When we ask what time we needed to be out that said right now. So we packed our bags and left. No offer of our money back.

The towels and all linens (wash cloth) Were stained and some had holes in them. I took one to the desk and told them that the towel was dirty. She told me that they were stained not dirty. The bath room door hinges were very loose, I told the front desk, NO action. The sausage served for breakfast was definitely reheated from the previous day. The hair dryer was inoperable. Comfort Inn West Monroe was a huge disappointment. Definitely overpriced considering. They should change the name to Red Roof Inn.

Room was clean- bathroom needs some updating but besides that very pleased with our stay. Staff was excellent!

The staff was all very pleasant, but the TV in the room didn't work, the phone in the room didn't work - so we had to walk to the front desk to ask for maintenance to be done on a slow filling toilet - maintenance that never showed. The breakfast was fresh and hot. There was something going on the weekend we were there because all of the hotels in West Monroe were sold out, including this one.

My friends and I were greeted with a very nice and professional front desk clerk. She provided us with information about the hotel and the amenities. She mentioned the entire hotel was booked. The room was nice, however the toilet handle was broken. We called downstairs and someone immediately came to the room. Because the hotel was booked we couldn't change rooms. So to flush the toilet we had to remove the top and pull the chain. We were told that since we couldn't change rooms we would be provided with a discount of our room. We felt that was fair. The comforter on one of the beds was dirty. So we called downstairs again and the same nice lady, Ashley brought a clean comforter that she just took out of the dryer as it was still very warm. The shower and water pressure were really great. After we wiped everything down with clorox wipes, and sprayed the bed, sheets, pillows and chairs with lysol; other than the toilet not working properly and the dirty comforter that was replaced, the stay was alright. The bed was super comfortable.We didn't have to go far to eat because we had a variety of places to eat nearby. I purposely chose this hotel as it is right of the interstate, plenty of places to eat, and shop. Our group would definitely here again!

Wish I\'d looked at the 1 and 2 star reviews before booking! We traveling back home and made the reservation within 10 minutes of arriving at the hotel. Understood that the hotel was undergoing a renovation, but the issues were outside of any "inconvenience". Headed to the bathroom after entering the room (we\'d been driving all day), and the toilet seat was up and yellowish "water" was in the toilet. Seemed like someone (one of the folks renovating the hotel?) took care of business but didn\'t return the toilet to "guest ready condition". I tried to flush the toilet but it wouldn\'t flush. I went down to the desk to request a different room, and the clerk obliged. But not before she asked me "did you remove the tank lid and see if you could get it to work?" The new room was pretty janky looking and the toilet had a really weak flush, so my husband decided he would tinker with the toilet in the original room. He was able to get it to flush, so we opted to stay in the original room. The water that came out of the sink - for teeth brushing and hand washing - was tan. It never cleared up, no matter how much water you let run. The room had a really odd layout. The toilet and tub were the only things in the bathroom. The sink was right inside the door - where you might normally have a closet. And the light switch for the bathroom was outside the bathroom. I would not stay in this place again.

Like most Choice properties these days for what it cost, it needs to be better taken care of. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

It’s fine. Just a basic hotel with no frills in a safe area. The rooms were plain with no character. The bathroom set up is a bit odd but everything was clean. We booked a king and they did not have one so we were given two queens. Typical breakfast of diy waffles, etc. We had no issues.

Front desk staff was so friendly and checked me in quickly. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The tap water has a yellow Tint but I’ve read that’s the theme at other places as well. Not their fault but bring bottled water. Great restaurant choices near by. A few. You can walk to. Would stay here again.

Came in very late at night and parking lot well lit and easy to get into. Staff friendly, beds comfortable and breakfast had good choices and decent. Would recommend.

I should have read prior reviews. Not in a safe area- room was dirty, door jams were filthy. Water was yellow and wasn’t told during check in. We went to buy bottled water and the desk clerk told us not to brush our teeth using the water-

Comfortable and location was great

I enjoyed my stay and the people were very nice I love there is a variety of restaurants literally outside the hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I was concerned that the floor in the bathroom and by the sink felt very slick. We had to be very careful not to slip and fall while walking in there. The breakfast was good and hot. It would have been nice to have peanut butter available.

It was quiet until our last night, when a bunch of girls softball teams came aboard. We loved our room; comfortable bed, good shower, lots of pillows. Steady room temps. They had just gotten new furniture and have a great breakfast. Good value.

Been great! The toilet doesn’t flush properly but other than that it’s comfortable and clean Decent breakfast too
