Fairfield Inn & Suites Denton

The only criticism I have is that the pool was gross and had mildew buildup at the bottom. If it was closed for the season, they shouldve closed off that area to guests. Aside from that, the room was nice and the bed was very comfy.

The property had a water leak in the 1st floor and it was separated by plastic wrap and tape. The fitness room was affected and some of the wall was missing. There were remediation fans blowing. The fitness should have been sealed better from the rest of the flooded area. It’s a very clean property.

Very clean and nice hotel. The only drawback is an extremely small pool.

After paying, I was told the water would be off the next day from 9 am to 6 pm. Very inconvenient. I had dinner plans at 7 pm. I had worked out and needed to shower at 6 pm. Water was supposed to be on but did not come on until 9 pm. Missed my dinner. The staff was very unapologetic when I inquired about the water, almost rude. Also, the elevator broke

The only problem was the pool. It was out of service.

2 lights in room did not work. tissues almost empty on arrival. desk clerk they wouldsens some up, never got there. pool water was merky. a/c didn't work well, woke up during the night sweating several times. eleverator door squeals when opening and closing. rub marks on door from rubbing against something, worried about safety

When I arrived i saw they were putting on a new roof. My room was on third floor so all I could hear was hammers banging on the roof from 2pm-6pm . No sleeping late on Sunday morning , the hammering started again at daylight. It would have been nice to know the roof was being redone.

Parking is limited to the front entrance. Additional parking is on the side of the building. It is well lit up but next to a Home Depot and other stores felt a little unsafe.

On line does not say still in renovations. This was my granddaughters and my get away to shop were disappointed. The hall to our room had no ceiling. The girls saw all the metal and everything. When I asked the employee about it I was told it was due to renovations being done! No apology offered! About 2:45 am we were awakened by being hot and the smell of something being overheated. The air conditioner apparently stopped working from being too hot???? By about 4:00 am air came back on. Fell back to sleep only to be awakened at 6:00 am by the roofers. I understand renovations have to be done but we should have been told what to expect! My granddaughters do not get to stay in a hotel very often and this was not a good time for them. However I will stay the lobby and dining room were very nice. And our room was very clean and had plenty of towels. The microwave and fridge being down in the cabinet was inconvenient. The closet door top latch was broken so had to be careful when opening. There was no chair in the room so had to sit on beds. I am generally not a complainer but I wanted our time together to be really nice and not knowing the renovation was still in progress was a real disappointment. Again the room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The morning staff were very nice. And being from Wichita Falls the location was great. Plan to return to Denton in October or first of December and hopefully renovations will be over.

The room was not cleaned before we were given the room. It smelled like bengay. And we waited for quite some timw for anyone to come to the front desk to check us in.

FOR THE PRICE OF THE ROOM THE CONDITION SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. CURTAIN HANGING DOWN, PLASTIC ROD MISSING OFF CURTAINS, CLOSET DOOR OFF THE TRACK. AND OF COURSE THE ROACH AND CRICKET IN THE BATHROOM JUST TOPPED IT ALL OFF.

Checking in and getting settled, the floors flooded. When room was changed got bit up by fleas. There were fleas found under the covers in one the beds, with two in the room. Left my ankles and legs bit up. First night booking there and things just weren’t as peaceful.

I expected my room to be cleaned and ready when I arrived. The room was very nice but I had to get disinfectant wipes and clean the greasy handprints from the desk, the coffee bar, the bathroom vanity and splatters on the toilet seat. I was offered another room but was to exhausted to move my things as I had already brought everything in. I then had to ask for more washcloths as there was only one in a double queen meant for up to four folks.

Light was out in bathroom and I reported it but not addressed during our stay.our room was not cleaned when we got back to hotel. Manager said housekeeping was gone for day. I did request 2 clean towels and they were provided.

Hotel and surrounding were great. I was no impressed that I had to ask for my doll room to be cleaned and for new towels and when I returned 6 hours late it had not been done and I was told that housekeeping was gone for the day. I did let the general manager know when I checked out.

Property was easy to access off Hwy. Check-In was smooth. Hotel had a weird smell in hallways. Cleaning staff did not clean my room or replace towels. I had to call the front desk to have towels brought up and to remove trash. The excuse she gave wasn’t acceptable. The a/c in the room was not working properly. Overall rating was Poor-Average.

The room has insects behind the beds.

I booked this property while at the other location in Denton, TX bcuz the front desk girl was lazy and asked me to book my night on Expedia. Had she just booked me in, noke of what transpired the rest of the night would have. I booked the wro g property due to not bei g aware. Yes, my fault but not... tge front desk girl tells me, oh no, you booked the erong property! Well, not even 5 minutes after booking , i call Exoedia to help. Expedia calls the other location i didnt mean to book and they AVSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RETURN PAYMENT AND TOLD ME TO CALL THEM BACK IN 24 HOURS. WHAT?? BUT IM CHECKING IN?? YEAH, no one cared enough to help out with the minor mistake. So i drive 25 minutes in rish hour Denton traffic to be greeted with no apology, no nothing. I get to my room and what do i see sitting on my bed?? Big CockRoach!!!! And before i get called out for lying, i have pictures WITH dates and time. I reached out to the property twice in the next 36 hrs amd still, 2 weeks later, not a si gle reply! Avoid this property at all costs. They dont give two craps about you. Only what pleases them. Im also calling Marriot corporate to submit a formal complaint. AT LEAST CALL PR MESSAGE ME BACK TO ADDRESS THIS GOD AWFUL NIGHT.

Very friendly and helpful staff, easy check in, good breakfast. Room itself had some issues. Very buggy. Found several black beetle type insects in the bathroom over the two days I was there. They appeared to live within the walls and I watched them crawl into the cracks. Shower head was coming out of the wall as well. Not the worst hotel experience but certainly not what I’m used to at Fairfield Inns.

1) The WiFi was very weak in my room. My devices could only connect if they were near the door. 2) The coffee maker did not work properly

Lots of noise at night. Walls were very thin. People outside taking loudly. Will not be staying there again.

One night stay which was very nice. Everything was clean and tidy. Front desk staff member was courteous and efficient. Our room was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was not a fan of the shower door that seemed to be installed at an angle as it kept sliding partly open. Also the bathroom ceiling paint was delaminating. The wifi service was very spotty. Had to use the hotspot from my phone to work. The AC unit couldn't be turned off fully. You could only disengage the AC but the fan constantly blows which was also annoying. There are nicer hotels for similar pricing.

This hotel is very nice and clean. The location is very convenient and the rooms are very clean and spacious. I will definitely consider coming back.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, the first night though the A/C was having trouble cooling down the room, second night it seemed to be better, but still never getting to the number we set it to.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, and very clean everywhere. Fragrance in the hallway was a bit overwhelming. Some noise from the freeway on the wing we stayed in.

I checked in late last night around 12 am. The lady at the Front Desk was extremely helpful and professional. I recommend this hotel.

Hotel gave my room away and put me in a room that I did not select. Front desk woman was very rude and not accommodating.

The staff at this location were amazing, kind and made you feel like family always ready to greet you with a smile and make your stay comfortable and easy!

We booked the stay for 4D & 3N, but to my surprise, the stay was utterly disappointing. Here are a few things I’d like to highlight: 1. Despite our specific request to the service lady to clean the room and replace the bedsheets, the room was uncleaned. The worst part was she cleaned the washroom but left the room dirty. 2. We didn’t receive water bottles until we asked for them. 3. The landline wasn’t working, but we didn’t make a big deal out of it. Regarding room service, we called the front desk on the 2nd night, and person named Jaden answered our call and noted our complaint. However, we never received any further response from them. The room was dirty, and we couldn’t stay there any longer. That night we slept at friend’s place. The next morning, we informed the front desk lady, Debbie, that we needed room service and asked her why the room hadn’t been cleaned the previous night. We also provided feedback to prevent similar incidents from happening to other guests. However, Debbie was incredibly rude and arrogant, refusing to listen to our concerns and arguing with us instead. I believe she was overly arrogant and egoistic. The next morning, at the time of checkout, Debbie charged my credit card (even though I had specifically requested to pay with cash at the time of check-in, and the person at the front desk had accepted it). She claimed that she couldn’t accept cash because the credit card had already been charged. Overall this was one of the worst stays ever.

Fairfield Inn and Suites Denton is our home away from home. Our family meets up there about once per year to gather from all over the country. We always appreciate the kindnesses offered and attention to detail from Debbie, Dawn, and the entire staff at that location. Grateful!

Always a comfortable and enjoyable stay when I visit Denton. The front desk staff are really wonderful and the premises feel safe and location is extremely convenient.

Amazing Stay! We went for family fun. The staff was so polite and helpful from check in to check out. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The sweet lady that was managing breakfast was the best. She made sure everything was always stocked and she was so sweet. We enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be back soon!

I have never written a review in my life. This hotel would not let me husband check in because the reservation was in my name. I called hotels.com and changed the reservation, hotels.com called the hotel to confirm, and Marriott headquarters sent a confirmation email as well. The hotel cancelled our reservation and sent my husband away. I was not there because my daughter was at Camp Mystic when the flooding happened last week and we are all still struggling, so I am home with her.This hotel should be ashamed of itself.

The hotel was very clean and smelled great. Room was very clean no problems. The only complaint we had was since hotel is next to the feeder road you had multiple cars speeding through to avoid traffic light at the street corner. very dangerous almost got hit trying to cross from my car to the front door of the hotel.

Convenient location right off of the interstate with plenty of restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores nearby.

This is an excellent place to stay. The location is perfect if you’re traveling. Plenty of shopping and a big variety of restaurants within a short walk. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the entire property- whatever the salary of the workers is….they deserve double….friendly and helpful !

Everything you may need is close and walking distance from the hotel. Walmart, Sam’s, Home Depot and a gas station or just a few feet from the property.

Great location, everything was great. Everything was fine. They stop putting out breakfast 20 minutes before it’s over. No eggs or sausage by 0940. But the stay was good and friendly staff!!! I would book it again.

Great hotel, clean rooms, nice beds, good breakfast. Great little ice cream place right next door…recommend getting ice cream there. We didn’t use the pool but it’s pretty small.
