Like all Marriott properties, the Rockville Sheraton was a 5 star stay. But, this Sheraton scored 6 stars in one category, the bar/restaurant staff. They were the best. Good people. Great staff all the way round throughout the facility

The Sheraton in Rockville is still my 'go to' hotel in this area and I usually stay there about 15-20 nights per year. The property is well-maintained, and the restaurant is now back open for breakfast and dinner. They charge a nightly fee for parking, but it's not too much. Rooms are large, attractively decorated, and comfortable.

The room was adequate and served the purpose. The hotel was in a nice area but was a little tricky to get to since you had to drive through some residential condos to get to the parking lot. It also has a $5 parking fee for parking at the facility.

The location was good and close to our destination. The room was fine, clean, and fairly comfortable. However, the bedcovers were thin and inadequate; there was no extra blanket provided for warmth. The $10 per night parking charge and the “resort” fee were ridiculous. They are annoying examples of the junk fees multi-billion dollar corporations add on in order to squeeze a little more from customers. If Marriott needs to pad their bottom line, why not just add $10 to the room rate and advertise “free parking”? It would at least be a better PR move.

This is still my favorite hotel in Rockville and I stay there about 16 nights each year. It has free parking, very comfortable rooms, and a friendly staff. The restaurant is now back to operating mornings and evenings. Easy location to get in and out but being on a dead-end street there's no through traffic.

Initially I was given room 339 and there was a cockroach. I called to font desk and they promptly moved. The staff was lovely and they are not the issue. I was then given room 420, this morning when I woke up there was another cockroach crawling on my suitcase. This is unacceptable.

I checked in on Sunday, room appeared to be clean and orderly until I noticed that there were stains on the sheets, rancid food in the fridge, and no toiletries in the bathroom. I was extremely tired and simply fell asleep. I had had a painful dental extraction and simply wanted to rest, when I did finally feel like eating I ate some of my food and opened the small fridge to put the rest away and discovered the rancid food. I went down to the front desk because I was very unhappy with the fact that the room had not been properly cleaned. The assistant manager was extremely rude and not helpful at all. She offered me a free breakfast which I declined and argued that the lack of attention to details placed my health at risk. The assistant manager just rolled her eyes at me and I completely lost my cool. My recommendation is skip this hotel and find somewhere else that is truly worth the money without the endangerment of your health, I did get sick after already feeling poorly from a painful dental extraction. I feel that this hotel took my advantage of my trust.

I would not stay at this hotel and I cannot recommend it. The only good thing of note here is the staff, in particular, Tony at the front desk was extremely friendly and professional. Upon checking in my partner and I were greeted by a permanently stained bathtub and roaches in the stairwell. We quickly booked a room in another nearby hotel within the first hour of walking into the building.

As I said on checkin, the was no luggage rack in my room. Having a disability, it’s hard to have my suitcase on the floor. Also, no clock?? Why?? I stay here often and these items were disappointing. Also, I tried for 5 minutes to call the front desk with no one answering. I had to call from my cell phone directly to the hotel to get an answer, and then they answered on the 2nd ring. When I asked about it there was silence. Not Good 🙁

The Sheraton Rockville is still my preferred hotel in this DC suburb, and I normally stay there 4 times every year for a few days each time. It's a slightly older, but still nice property in a good location with large, comfortable rooms and a friendly staff. Like most hotels, I wish they would check their rooms more frequently for maintenance issues, so I'd suggest checking the room when you first arrive. I can tell you they are very good about changing your room if needed.

Front desk is friendly and helpful. They've started charging for parking ($10/day) but it's not excessive and they are back to doing housekeeping every night. Convenient location on a quiet cul de sac with no through traffic.

I'm usually a big Sheraton fan. However, three major issues with this room: One, the shower had neither hot water nor water pressure at 9pm in the evening, rendering the shower unusable. Had to shower at 4am if I wanted usable water. Two, the air in the room was so dry that it caused major throat discomfort within three hours. In my 50 years, I've never experienced air quality like this in a Sheraton. Three, the bathroom had entry door on a 45-degree angle, which opened into the toilet, significantly affecting seating area. Had to position body at an angle. If there are other available hotels in the area, I will not choose this one. Shame.

The state was terrible marked by the horrible check-in, where the hotel made it our problem “our problem that the reservation that did not have records of the reservation, which was fully paid for in advance. This aggravation started at 9 PM and the attendant told told me that it was my problem to adjust that and sort that out rather than their problem which they had a record of yet, and confirmed the reservation knew about it, but it was my problem to sort it out

Called front desk as the tub was not draining and Tonya the receptionist was very rude and offered options that were not helpful or rectified during my stay such as have maintenance check the tub the next day at 9am ( when I would have already checked out) or have the manager call me in 3 days! Extremely poor customer service and was very inconvenient as none of us were able to take a shower. It was an unpleasant stay.

The hotel itself was good. Front staff wasn’t very nice. However, be prepared for the deposit on your stay. They don’t tell you, not even the front desk said anything. It’s $250. That’s my only issue. Thankfully we had that but I want prepared saying it was not a hotel like that.

The location of this property is very good and walkable to a lot of places. The staff are very nice and supportive. The other hotel guests were laud and they made a lot of noises in mid-night and early in the morning. I do not know how the hotel staff could manage these unexpected laud guests at these odd hours.

Like all Marriott properties, the Rockville Sheraton was a 5 star stay. But, this Sheraton scored 6 stars in one category, the bar/restaurant staff. They were the best. Good people. Great staff all the way round throughout the facility

The Sheraton in Rockville is still my 'go to' hotel in this area and I usually stay there about 15-20 nights per year. The property is well-maintained, and the restaurant is now back open for breakfast and dinner. They charge a nightly fee for parking, but it's not too much. Rooms are large, attractively decorated, and comfortable.

First off, we booked and paid for a king bed room ahead of time and once checking in, were given without telling us at the desk or anything, a 2 bed room with full sized beds. Mind you, were a couple and this was not explained at all at the front desk. The man working the front desk hardly spoke English so once calling the front desk and requesting the room we PAID FOR BEFOREHAND, he gave really no reasoning besides that they just give you whatever they have when you arrive because the room rates are the same. I will NEVER STAY AT A SHERATON HOTEL AGAIN. The mini fridge hardly worked, there was MOLD in the dimly lit bathroom. The blinds were broken, none of the trashcan had plastic bags or liners in them, the wallpaper was ripped in multiple areas and there was a old giant glob of chewing gum on the ceiling that looked at least a year old. They also charged $200 to my card without telling me and I will be looking into why, because hotels.com charged my room amount so it better come back off my debit card or I will be disputing whatever that charge is! Never again could you pay me to stay at this hotel, not even if it was free!
