Comfort Suites Stevensville - St Joseph

Nice hotel

Our room was filthy except for the towels and bedding. We got a king suite with a jacuzzi and there were mysterious marks and stains on the floors and walls. We cleaned out the jacuzzi and shower before using them. There was sticky stuff on the counters in our room and the tv had been through something traumatic, maybe a wall. It worked but did not allow for streaming or anything without commercials. Our room wasn’t insulated well and we heard every footstep upstairs. When the people above filled up their tub or showered, it was loud. Our curtains didn’t close all the way, nor did the door seal. There was light peeking through 24/7. The pool had so much chlorine that my eyes burned for hours after and I still can’t get the smell out of my swimming suit. The sauna was broken (no sign) and water was leaking from the fire suppression on the ceiling making it feel very dangerous. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The person attending to the breakfast area was fantastic. She kept everything stocked and clean. I don’t think I’ve ever had such great service at a free breakfast. That’s the only reason the hotel received more than one star. This hotel had good reviews so I’m disappointed.

The room was much larger than we were expecting. Extra blankets and pillow appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend this hotel and location.

Breakfast was hot. Room was clean but unfortunately the first night our personal hot tub did not work. The owners fixed it and it worked great however we came back that evening to our room door not locked. Then the next day our room was not cleaned. Otherwise staff was very friendly and understanding of our concerns.

Had to make last minute reservation due to weather. Front desk employee was super friendly. Since I had booked online he was having a little problem checking me in he said but eventually was able to with no issues. He set us up on bottom floor in a handicapped room, which wasn't an issue, but when my mother and I got into room because we were exhausted from already driving for hours, the bathroom floor and shower floor had hair stuck in the drain. We were only staying the one night so didn't address with front desk but had it been a longer stay it would have been addressed for sure. Also, the curtains don't stay closed when fan/heat is blowing unfortunately. I understand that people travel with kids, but the entire night there were what sounded like running all up and down the halls upstairs and yelling in the main hall down on the first level.
