Not clean at all could see dirt every were. Broken dresser. Toilet. Dirty tub moldy shower Curtain so many things terrible about this. Was last minute trip no curtain on window . Yes has ashade but so much light comes in. Pool was dirty and dangerous due to broken tiles and slippery.

Ridiculously there was no assigned parking although the spaces are definitely marked according to room # as a customer I would assume that this would be adhered to and not dismissed. It’s rather disheartening to know that issues with them are so cut and dry. Also they do have tvs in the rooms but unfortunately there is no service that is acceptable and no one seems at all concerned regarding this.

The room was dirty the floors looked like they haven’t been washed in months.. bathroom tub was gross.. bed was very uncomfortable( to my liking if you like hard as a rock then you are good) There was no filter running in the pool it was dirty, moldy and black around the edges. Around the pool the tiles were broken and dirty. All the pool chairs were also broken and dirty. The grounds had trash everywhere. The location was absolutely perfect and staff were very nice..

Great of you want to be in the action. Pool was nice, and our room was clean. Hotel is on the main strip right next to the roller coaster, so if you’re looking for quiet not the place! But it was good for us with older kids being close to the action and being able to walk everywhere.

The pool was so cloudy and greenish you couldn’t see the bottom, did not use! The beds were so uncomfortable and creaky. Woke up others in the room every time you moved. Smoke alarm chirped all night! Only good thing about this place was location!

The nicest things I can say are that the air conditioner and refrigerator worked well. The TV did not work. The front desk said they would send someone up. Never happened. The room key had to be reprogrammed on 2 separate occasions. The bathroom faucet required the assistance of a powerlifter to turn it on. A train came by every hour during the night and shook the building and blared the horn. The parking spaces are so narrow, you can't get in without dinging the car next to you. They don't clean the room. They don't give you fresh towels. This place is 1 step above being a participant on the TV show survivor.

Parking was a nightmare. Vehicle was subjected to be scratched or dented due to the spaces tight in between vehicles, as well as having no place to park once you left and came back. The room appearance was very disappointing. Stains could be seen on the white towels and bed linen.

Biggest issue was the AC unit. It smelled like urine and was probably made in 1997. The whole place could use a makeover/update. The pool was an absolute disaster as well. Broken/missing tiles on pool perimeter and the water was very dirty. Otherwise, very clean room and close to beach access & amusement park. Invest in your property with basic updates and your guests won’t mind paying the rate you’re charging!

Covienently located near the beach. The air conditioner screens were horribly dirty which made us sick. We cleaned them ourselves. People smoked cigarettes and Marijuana outside on the deck. Our room smelled of these as it was being brought in by the air conditioner. The room was super bright at night, not enough window covering.

Like- close to town! Dislike- I have booked other hotels and motels thru Travelocity and the rooms were a lot cleaner and nicer for half the price. The room we stayed in was not worth what we paid for. The hotel charged us an extra guest fee when the only people that stayed in the room was my husband and I and our son who is 19 and our daughter is 14 which I disclosed when I booked the room. One of the beds sank in when you sat on it. The floors were dirty - your feet were disgusting after walking on the floor- after a Shower. One of the ceiling tiles above the bed looked like it was ready to fall. The ceiling above the shower was gross- I am not sure what was on the ceiling but it looked gross. The air conditioner had rust on it and I have never stayed in a room that didn’t have a phone in it. Lastly, the refrigerator could use a little more cleaning. Overall, our stay was not a pleasant one and we are disappointed. Travelocity is my go to app when booking a hotel. We have always had great experiences until now!

Bare minimum for amenities. VERY small room. Staff is nice...pool was nice. Walking distance to everything - it's ALL right there. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner! They have Keurig coffee makers - that was good. Place called JJ's had excellent food - not all fried, fresh and well done. Best mashed potatoes I ever had and great cocktails at a decent price.

Mt Royal is close to everything. The attempt was made to “freshen up” the place but it is old & the room small. That said, the bathroom & closet were sizable. Both full size beds were creaky & lumpy, mine sunk in toward the middle. I had an achy back all the next day. The bathroom was clean, but my reservation was for 3 people, there were only towels for 2. I would likely not stay here again although the 14 year old girls I had with me had a blast.

No TV remote or cable tv. Very little toilet paper on roll with no backup. No coffee K cups for coffee maker. Electrical outlet between beds was not mounted to wall and pushed into wall when trying to plug in cell phone charger which would not allow plug to stay in. Most uncomfortable bed we have slept in a hotel ever. (300 stays). We will not be back.

I didn’t realize lobby closed at 10pm. I was an hour away, arrival time 1045pm, and Christine made sure to stay the extra 45 minutes after her shift to ensure I was able to get the room I paid for! Super amazing woman! 💕

We actually stayed Sat 8/23/25 - Wed 8/27/2025 . This was a mini vacation for me and my Son who starts college next week. When we checked in at 3pm we were given a room on the first floor and kindly asked for a room on the second floor and they were able to accommodate us, which was great.

This motel was okay for what we needed for the week. It most definitely needs ALOT of upgrades. First, no one at the front desk. Had to call him to come down from his room to check us in! It was clean for the most part. Housekeeping could do a better job staging especially with folding towels and putting them up in the towel holder provided. There was very limited kitchen utensils and pans to use in the kitchenette! It was a bare bones kind of hotel with a soda machine that didn’t work and an empty snack machine! The one thing that needs to be noted is the train that is directly behind the hotel about 40 feet! It is very loud and shakes the building when it buzzes by! Probably would not stay here again!! There are plenty of other choices in OOB better then this!!

Place was a dump. Manager was rude and horrible. Room was dirty worse than some bathrooms in a public place. Door looked like it was kicked in no safety latch. Mold and vent hanging from ceiling in bathroom. I would sleep in my car before sleeping in the room.

Place was a dump. Manager was rude and horrible. Room was dirty worse than some bathrooms in a public place. Door looked like it was kicked in no safety latch. Mold and vent hanging from ceiling in bathroom. I would sleep in my car before sleeping in the room.

Number of issues that resulted in us leaving early. Musty room smell, moldy shower, uncomfortable beds and people drinking alcohol in the pool. We reached a breaking point and could not spend the night there so we checked out before midnight. Called the overnight staff and to let them know where our keys were and the reason for us leaving. When I called the motel the next day for any kind of refund, they declined stating they did not have any complaint on file. I was told they were going to reach out to higher management and the staff member that worked that night and still have not heard back. Overall disappointing experience.

Great of you want to be in the action. Pool was nice, and our room was clean. Hotel is on the main strip right next to the roller coaster, so if you’re looking for quiet not the place! But it was good for us with older kids being close to the action and being able to walk everywhere.

The location was very convenient as it was right across from the amusement park. The rooms were very small. It was a tiny room for a family of 4. Each room had just one parking pass and we had two cars with us. That was a hassle.

We stayed at the Mt. Royal Motel for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Extremely well located with walking distance to the beach. Would recommend you bring earplugs as the Motel is right next to Palace PlayLand and can be noisy ! Other then that, we are really pleased and would come back next summer ! :)

Bare minimum for amenities. VERY small room. Staff is nice...pool was nice. Walking distance to everything - it's ALL right there. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner! They have Keurig coffee makers - that was good. Place called JJ's had excellent food - not all fried, fresh and well done. Best mashed potatoes I ever had and great cocktails at a decent price.

This property was perfect for our needs...close to the beach, our room was appointed with a sink and 'kitchenette supplies', there were plenfy of options for dining nearby eventhough we visted on a Mon/Tues night. Most noteworthy was the 30 second walk out of the motel room door, across the street and a small parking area and voila! there was the ocean, in all her glory. Being able to wake up and wander out to the beach so easily was absolutely what made our stay what it was. The only downfall of this property is the train running behind, however, this is going to be an 'issue' for any property located on the same strip. All in all a 9/10.

Location and parking was great! If you’re just looking to be close to the beach and the action, this place will suffice. The room smelled of mildew. The shower was dirty (someone else’s hair) and the shower walls were black with mold and mildew. No ventilation in the bathroom but a tiny window. Train tracks were 20 feet behind the room. Made for a restless night. Bed was awful. Middle sunk down. My fiancé and I kept falling into each other and waking up. There was no staff around. We had to leave our room key in a drop box at check out

More or less, this place is amazing! What i mean by that is, I booked the place a few months in advance for my wife's birthday however the pool was labeled open but it was actually closed for the season. Not the biggest deal breaker, but definitely misleading. Other than that, the staff were more than accommodating and the room was nice. Supe close to the beach AND all the local amenities. Would definitely recommend to anyone and will also definitely be back!!!
