Days Inn by Wyndham Ann Arbor

Booked this hotel as it said it had a hottub and a pool get here to find out hottub has been broken for years and pool was also broke, the mirror in my room is broke, shower has hair in it, sink in un-useable as there is no knob to turn water on, its broken off, door to room 116 is so messed up you have to kick the door to get it to latch, there is chewing gum under the bed, holes in the wall, and the place is just dirty. Doesn't appear they do any up-keep on the property. If i could get my money back i woulda but they couldn't do anything as i bpoked with expedia.com.

The hot tub advertised was literally bricked off permanently. The pool was freezing cold. The gym was locked and filled with trash n looked like it was abandoned years ago. Showerhead broke off, only 1 blanket, blanket for 2nd bed was thin as a sheet and they refused to give us a different one or an additional one. Both "blankets" heavily stained, wouldn't give us clean towels, didn't turn down our room, toilet seat falling apart, no fan or window in bathroom, couldn't get tissues or toilet paper replaced, many broken deck chairs around pool, I hurt myself when one of them fell apart as I was sitting on it. Microwave broke and got stuck locked closed as I was using it resulting in my food being stuck and lost.power strip failed in the middle of the night and the ice covered freezer thawed and filled my dinner with water, ruining my other meals. Breakfast was only fruit, bagels, waffles n cereal, no options for any protein or anything other than carbs and sugars. Lamp and mattress box spring had what appeared to be mold on them, one lamp had its power cord completely cut, mold.in the non-working "vent?" In the bathroom, from back when it apparently worked I'm guessing. They wouldnt switch us rooms, not that I think any other room would be less disgusting. I have never stayed in such a disgusting dilapidated run down hotel before, I couldn't even sleep because of the disgusting bed and bedding. The review rating it has, has to be from bots or something, that place was awful!

My room and the whole property was dirty. Police were onsite everyday of the week. Toiletries were not automatically replaced. Key pad kept forgetting my room key so i had to renew it about 5 times. None of the vending machines work. The fitness center is not safe. The whole property smells.

The breakfast was cold cereal and milk with old bagels There was no hot tub as advertised. The pool was cold and dirty, the kids didn't want to swim in it. The mattress was old and appeared to be dirty. There was paint chipping off the walls.

The bed was fine, the bathroom was pretty clean, and the air conditioning worked. They must offer long term rates judging by the people living there and the activities going on. The parking lots and grounds were littered in trash including used condoms. Breakfast was cereal, bagels or frozen eggos. The Days Inn connects to the Quality Inn and they share facilities, including the pool which is only open from 2-10 pm. This was the absolute worst Wyndham property I've ever used.

Bed was ok, that was it. Room was gross, water puddles in the carpet, orange substance running down the wall. Ceiling stained. Missing a painting. Bathroom was gross. Didn’t have any conditioner in the dispenser, and that was the only dispenser there. Good thing I brought my own. This hotel was overall gross, the pool was even foggy, and it advertises a hot tub, and the hot tub is literally floor tiles over and filled. There’s isn’t one. That’s false advertisement. I guess it did the job, but at the MOST, $50 a night would be fair.

TV didn't work properly the entire stay, never received maid service once on a 5 day stay, no clean towels, sheets, trash emptied.....Nothing. No hot tub/spa as advertised, pool doesn't open until 2pm. No elevators to assist you with luggage. Poorly lit hallways. Overall terrible choice and I will not stay at another Days Inn 😔😔😔😔

We chose this because it had a hot tub pool close to where we needed to go the next day. They were both disfunctional. The locks were broken on our door. The doors themselves do not shut right. the tub had no plug. I had to go find a lightbulb the heater didn’t work well and the back door to the building doesn’t even close.

Front desk guy was friendly. I was highly disappointed the pool and hot tub hours were reduced to 2pm to 10pm. The pool area was padlocked shut when we arrived. Upon asking we were told it wasn't available due to a problem the night before. I only had the mornings free to swim and relax before my events and it wasn't available at those times. Had I known I would have booked elsewhere. The AC worked well. The room was fairly clean. Pipes were a lil noisy after flushing the toilet. There is only a shower. No bathtub.

They have false advertisement on a hot tub there is no hot tub

The entire hotel smelled like mold but our room had mold all over the ceiling and smelled absolutely terrible. Didn’t even stay overnight because the smell was so bad. Also mold on the shower curtain and stains on the bed and carpet. Unable to get another room as they were fully booked. We ended up leaving at 3AM.

Room had ketchup stains on the floor, the walls and the lamp shades were stained. The tile floor was sticky and the toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Smelled like weed throughout the hotel and had an overall “dirty” smell. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you have children with you. Staff at the front desk were nice and professional.

This place is beyond dirty. The room and hallways smelled, there was rotten food outside the doorways and stains on the sheets.

Do NOT stay here! Walking into the motel you are immediately met with the realization of how outdated, dirty, and gross it is. We were willing to overlook the condition and smell of the motel, since we just drove from 7 hours away and pre-booked for two nights, but in the morning we saw cockroaches on the light in the bathroom and then noticed 2 dead ones on the ceiling after looking further. When I went to front desk they told me to speak to the manager TJ who was incredibly rude and attempted to be dismissive of this issue. When leaving at 8:30am the manager left the room door open, and the room was less than 25 feet from the breakfast area. None of the ice machines work, stains everywhere in the hallway, sliding door to outside doesn’t actually lock properly. This place should not be open. They also own the motel right beside it, so beware.

I had to leave the property after checking in. My first room smelled like animal and mildew. Nothing was clean. I went to the front desk and asked for another room. Got switched to another room, that room literally had bed bugs on the mattress. I wouldn’t DARE recommend that someone stay there. I’m fighting for a refund now because the manager wasn’t there. So hopefully that works out because Expedia is fighting for me.

This is not a place I could recommend. Definitely sketchy —mold in bathroom, floor was wet —wet carpet—towels were on the floor when we arrived. We asked for more and lined the floor with them. Slept for just a few hours and left. Paint was peeling, it was not clean.

Black mold on the walls. The hallways and room smelled strongly of smoke. Carpet missing patches and paint was chipping from what looked like water damage. Severely needs maintenance. Would not recommend!!

Prior to stay I called hotel on two different occasions asking if my two rooms could be next to one another. This was necessary due to medical reasons with a family member. I was told this could occur. Upon check in, the front desk clerk stated he could not do this. Then when asked which direction the rooms were in, he stated he did not know. Aside from that guy, the other staff were kind and professional. At check in it was raining, the lobby had flooding. Not once did the clerk tell us to watch our step or be careful. I had to tell my family members such. The rooms had stains on the carpet and bedding. There was a strange odor too. The continental breakfast was good.

Our heat didn’t work. (November) The ironing board didn’t have a cover on it, the toilet whistled when flushed, shower curtain ripped at the top, walls patched but not painted. Overall, the hotel looked pretty beaten up, but clean! The continental breakfast was mostly prepackaged foods. The worst part had to be walking the hallways and smelling nothing but weed. The further away you got from the front desk, the stronger the smell. Thankfully our room didn’t smell like that. I’m glad I didn’t pay any more than $130 because even at that rate, it wasn’t worth it.

Room was clean and ready, check in/out were quick and easy, and parking lot is huge with easy access to main roads to get to AA/Ypsi. Balcony door didn’t lock but I was on the second floor so I still felt safe. If you need an easy get in/get out hotel, this works well. Just don’t expect fancy amenities or a full continental breakfast.

The hinge screws were falling out of the door to my room. I had to lift the whole door to get it to close.

No knob in the bathroom fawcett, AC loud, glass door to outside was not working, unsafe, just rundown property.

This is a tired hotel. Sliding door wouldn’t lock, hair dryer didn’t work, room smelled like a wet dog and they didn’t restock breakfast so by the one event down (8 am) everything was gone but bagels

there were holes in the walls just above the power outlets that funneled dust and debris into the space throughout the night.

The bed and bedding was clean when we arrived, and staff was friendly, However the microwave and fridge was not working since the multicord was broken The sink drain was broken. The bedding was not cleaned wven after 4 days. On informing the frontvdesk they said they had shortage of staff. Overall the experience could have been better with just minor improvements for the price the were charging.

First Rm 122 issues - No bed cover (only sheets) - Shower door had a broken handle - Telephone wire was cut\ didn't work (no way of communicating with the front desk) Inoperational -Toilet seat was missing parts -Front desk agent Amari was rude, unwelcoming, didn't value customer. - Bathroom had only one adult bath towel. Other was used but was in bad shape and unacceptable. - No Conditioner container was missing ***Second Room*** Rm 204 Door did not close and you had to use force to lift the door in order to close the door. - When I told Amari front desk agent, he nodded his head in acknowledgement. - Rude when replenishing breakfast items - Did not say good morning or hello to anyone - Told me I couldn't use my McDonald's coffe cup for cofee and could only use the cups provided. What is the difference if I use two of your cups to fill my McDonald's cup. - This place is not run or operated with the customer in mind or to please or welcome your stay. Do Not Stay here!!!!!!

We stay here for two days the receptionist Isaac was very friendly and checked us in in a speedy manner. My first impression of the place was that it needed to be updated because there were some stains spots on the carpet on the hallways, plus in the hallway leading to my room they were doing some kind of construction maybe on the ceiling.The tiles were opened or missing and wires were hanging down…gave me a bad vibe overall. Only had one interaction with the staff asking for a laundry bag, which she was very nice. Stopped what she was doing and helped me with my request. Overall I gave them 3 stars , our room was clean with clean sheets and blankets. The 2 queen beds were smaller than expected felt more like twins sizes. No other major issues.

Beware of this location. I booked a room online through Expedia because I needed to stay overnight last minute. It was a non-refundable room, which was fine because it was just one night and I just needed a bed. I went and waited at the frint desk for 20 minutes and there was no one to check me in. I spoke to Days Inn customer service and Expedia customer service and neither of them could reach someone to check me in. I requested a refund. After 45 minutes I finally left. I later got a message I would not get a refund. I paid the money and they did not give me a room. I'm shocked they can get away with this.

The staff was friendly and the room clean and comfortable.

Reserved and paid for a king size bed and jacuzzi. When we arrived we were told there was only one room available, in the entire hotel, which was a two double bed room with no jacuzzi. We were told reservations have priority over walk ins but apparently that was not the truth. We took the last room but as we returned from getting our baggage from our car, we overheard two other reservations had to be turned away bc their rooms were not available Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Met my expectations based on reviews. Great service. Easy parking. I'd stay here again.

They overbooked the property so I was stranded for 3 hours at midnight without a hotel room. While waiting in the lobby on hold with Expedia to find a solution, three families came up to front desk asking for towels. The clerk said they had to wait until morning when house keeping arrived. Lobby was dirty. Stay away.

The gentleman at the front desk was wonderful. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. My trip was great!!! Thank you!!

Avoid staying at this property. They said No room even though we had reservations. They called police on top of it.

The price doesn't reflect the quality, at all. You'd be better off spending more money at a different hotel. While the staff was great, the hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired. As soon as we entered our room, it reeked of mildew. We tried to ignore that, but the T.V was unplugged, the mirror was broken and the final straw was five minutes after we arrived, I decided to take a shower. I stepped in.. went to shut it... and the shower door handle clattered at my naked feet. Needless to say, I was upset. The staff was very helpful here and provided me and my husband with a much cleaner and pleasant smelling room--but for all the hassle, it just wasn’t what I expected for the price point. Also, the breakfast is very tiny, we opted to just hit an Ihop instead. Take this as you will, but it is rated 2 stars for a reason I suppose. However, the staff was amazing and it wasn’t their fault. I just won't book a Days Inn again.

Every time I travel for business to Ann Arbor I always stay at the days inn on carpenter Rd. It's conveniently located near the expressways, very close to shopping and all other manner of amenities, and the staff is great. When you check in be sure to talk to Isaac, at the front desk, about anything you may need or require to make your stay more comfortable. He always goes above and beyond standard expectations to accommodate guests, and I've never been disappointed.

The pictures do not match up with the actual place. It is sketchy, absolutely run down unkempt and the room I was put in, I actually ended up checking out about 30 min after I checked in as I didn't feel safe. As a female traveling by myself, this was not a place I should be. I travel a lot and have never checked in just to check out a few min later due to safety concerns. The glass sliding doors and all first floor is a safety concern of mine. The screens were all torn down around, and a guy was smoking a few feet from my slider when I opened it. I jumped. I was like no thank you.. The room was in poor condition walls were patched terribly there was a cut out in the tile by the door and it was just bad. Smells like weed and smoke, and just not an inviting safe place to stay. This location was awful. I wish I would have taken photos of the entire place, but I was too busy noping it out of there. Even the guy working the desk (very nice man) pretty much absolutely understood my need to leave. That tells you something. I had to eat the cost of the reservation, but I would do it again if it meant my safety....

Liked the location and the price.

This hotel is often very clean and I don't recall the last time that I stayed here that I noticed any unattended to minors and the staff is friendly. I also like that it is near decent shopping and dining. It is not very difficult to get to the university from there either and it is quite convenient for my too long delayed inconvenience to have had my regular travel planned commute delayed unexpectedly.

Not a bad stay if you are just sleeping there. Close to a lot of different places, like shopping and the university. Bathtub did not drain. Walls were paper thin, I heard everything in the room next to me and the room above. Breakfast was being put away 30mins early. Pretty cheap compared to other places.

Soooo it was a good place to sleep for the night but they could improve on cleanliness. The free breakfast was to be desired, bagels , donuts, yogurt.

Nice! Shower and bedding was sparkling white, super comfy. Quiet! Breakfast was good too with yogurt fruit bagels etc.

The amenities said hot tub on premises in the online description. That's why I booked last minute from the road. There was none. No soap, cups, anything in the bathroom. Generally the hotel looked run down, not a place I would choose again. And, the breakfast choice was a banana. The apple juice was water. I would have liked some compensation.

The best part was the breakfast with the coffee and bagels. Pretty noisy the walls are very thin. Phones need to be worked on they are broken. Need to change bedding more often

Average budget hotel. Nothing horribly wrong with our room: the ceiling of the shower that had been re-dry walled but no finish applied and I’m not sure if thermostat in AC unit worked. breakfast is basic cereal bagels and such. front staff very friendly. Interior hallways smell of pervasive pot smoke. Our room smelled like old cigarette smoke, staff offered us new room when I mentioned it. We were partially unpacked so I just borrowed their febreeze.

The place had a smell to it that was not appealing. The floors were quite dirty. The actual room was good and served its purpose. i reserved online and when i was checking in, the group in front of us got rooms for $30 less, so that was not cool. Advertising a breakfast and then having store bought packaged honey buns and cinnamon rolls was disappointing.
