Quality Inn Auburn Hills - Detroit North

I booked the property because of the pool. I kept checking it was open, but when I got there, it was padlocked closed.

The pool wasn’t open to the public. Ice and vending was locked on our floor so we had to go down to the lobby for ice and anything else we wanted. Only decaf coffee was available in the room.

It’s fine. Rooms seem clean. The pool is a brown, green, and slimy science project.

Booked a room last minute close to the area we were traveling through. Room was clean but the walls were very thin and could here EVERYTHING from the room connected to ours. Booked here because we needed access to a computer and the computer space is 3 very seriously damaged office chairs and a monitor that wasn’t even plugged in. The PC was broken and wouldn’t even turn on. We paid full price over the Expedia app and were charged again through the hotel and another $360 mystery charge even though we left on time and left the room clean. Wouldn’t recommend based off the inconvenience of all the extra charges and amenities not being as advertised.

Pool was green my daughter dropped her phone in elevator and was told it would be 450$ for someone to come get it out , terrible service and hotel

Our room was clean, but the shower was not -- black mold & pubic hair. We did not use the shower - decided to jump in the pool instead, but pool didn't open until 1pm and we had to vacate the room at 11am. Breakfast options were very good.

The property has gone downhill in the number of years there were doors that did not lock from the outside carpeting needed changing in the main hallway the pool had algae in it was not maintained very well at all

The pool was being worked on so it wasn't available, & that's one reason we booked that hotel, so that was a bit disappointing, but overall we really liked the hotel.

I prepaid to have pool and working TV in our room. Was not told pool was closed before travel. TV didn't work in room. Need total refund since we left property and never stayed there.

I read the reviews about the pool being under repair so I called the hotel TWICE to be sure and explained that me and a friend were going to a concert and just wanted to spend the day by the pool. They assured me on both occasions that the pool was up and operational and open. They did not mention that it was only open from 1 to 9 pm. So since we had a concert to go to in the evening and check out is at 11 the next day we could not spend the day at the pool.

Dirty room and sheet and blanket

There was stains on the bed and sheets. An empty bottle of astroglide on the counter. And I woke up with bed bug bites all over my legs and I slept ontop of the sheets!

The pictures must be old because it looks a lot worse in person. There was a cockroach in my bathroom. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We had two rooms and each one was filthy. Both had stained bedding, dirty floors, food splattered on the headboard, dirty bathrooms ( one bathroom smelt like urine) the other bathroom had 2 blood splatters.

I do not recommend staying here. Our room had a broken lock, mold around the shower, toilet paper holder was not secured to the wall very well. Hair balls behind the toilet. Someone’s false eyelash was in one of the beds.

Beds were comfy but once I seen a roach I was completely disgusted, I let the front desk know and all she said was she will let the maintenance know. My friend that stayed there the same nights in a different room also had a problem with roaches. I believe the stay would have been good if i did not see one!

The hotel had a very bad order. The sheets were stained yellow. Duvet cover was ripped up. I asked for new sheets and duvet and the lady said she had none available. The shower was very dirty. Toilet was very wobbly.. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL!!

Found mold on the side of the bed skirt. Several stains on bedsheets.

Would not recommend. Regret booking here altogether, Stayed here with little children. Had to change rooms 3 times due to cockroaches and filth. The front desk staff was very nice and apologetic, but this place in its entirety is disgusting. Our first room had a cockroach, someone’s dirty sock, toenail clipping, burnt lighter, and used cotton ball throughout it. The second room had a squished cockroach and broken A/C unit. By the third room we luckily did not find a cockroach in this one but the sheets were stained and gross (more so than all the sheets in the other rooms) to which by this point it was midnight with little kids and we just had to make it through the night here. The ice machine was broken the amount of dust and dirt surrounding the rooms where every wall meets the carpets and in every corner and crevice is absolutely deplorable. After seeing the conditions of the rooms there was no way we could were going anywhere near the free breakfast. No compensation offered just repeated room changes and the offer to come clean up the toenail clipping. In the morning when trying to retrieve our deposit they tried to pin a hole in the wall on us which we were in the rooms for short periods at a time and the last room we just got into the gross beds and tried to survive and there are so many holes in the walls and peeling paint and broken outlets etc you could tell they were just trying to keep our deposit. if you’re looking for somewhere to stay with little ones avoid!

Staff was friendly and check in was easy. The room and hallways smelled fine. The property is outdated and floors and furniture stained. Room had a few bugs (not bedbugs or cockroaches). Mattress and covers were stained. Pillows were old and stained. Sheets and pillow covers seemed clean. Lots of black mold above shower and on bathroom ceiling. Shower dripped. Bathroom faucet dripped. Room was pretty filthy otherwise and not wiped clean. It was quiet and A/C was cold. Good price.

There is a motel beside the quality inn that is pretty sketchy. I also woke up with a dozen small bug bites on me. The air conditioning squeaked on and off all night waking us up. Someone was letting off fireworks around midnight for thirty minutes not that anyone on the property can help that!

There was no microwave oven in the room although booking confirmation indicated in-room microwave oven. Inter access was very slow and frequently disconnecting. Breakfast food options were limited. The rooms lamps were missing light bulbs. All these mentioned items were not expected with the prices we paid for our stay. Otherwise beds were comfortable. Good location for shopping areas such as outlet mall.

Room was nice, but walls paper thin. Could hear neighbors, all night.

The heat finally worked when we put in 90 degrees F. The blanket was for summer and not cozy enough. The pillows We're half of regular size, which were not comfy enough. Toilet was extremely loud. Not going any more.

It was a nice place but the air-conditioning was so loud we had to turn it off then we were roasting. Very uncomfortable night of sleeping

The hotel is showing its age; hall carpet has ripples making it a trip risk, the showers finish is peeling and had mold, the desk leather chair was in terrible condition=peeling leather, main lobby stairs have whole in the drywall, the grounds around the hotel need cleaning

Front desk was very friendly however the rooms are less than appealing. The room smelt of cigarette smoke and I have never seen pillows so small. It looks like the cut the pillows in half.

The bed was clean and comfortable. The desk chair was very worn and should be replaced. The heating/cooling system wasn’t working very well

The property is not bad, just feels .. unwelcoming. Everything is done to cover the minimums to be ok. So everything looks tired and blah. Can't say it's unclean, but the bed covers had what looked like stains or worn out spots. Some peeling paint in the shower. The heating unit that was not well calibrated and took some massaging to do what i wanted ... I would come here again for a short stay because it is a was reasonable value, but just so...

Room needs some maintenance. Blower for heater sqealed really loud. Otherwise not a bad stay

We were given keys to a room that was occupied by others. The room we eventually were put in, the TV didn't work. The property was not very well kept and morning staff at breakfast were very rude.

We didn’t actually check in because they require an additional $100 deposit at check in. It’s odd and not required at other hotels in the area. Also the building has low lighting and didn’t look appealing in the lobby. I chose not to check in due to the dim lighting, rude clerk and the demand for the additional money to check in.

All was fine, except for the $10 early arrival fee. We arrived at 1:30 PM. They were not busy. The room was already done. Why the fee?

At check in they charged my card $100.00 “damage deposit “. The girl said that it would be credited back at checkout. At checkout this morning, they told me that it would take 5-7 days for the refund. This ridiculous. No other hotel has done this.

This is a great property, we stay here every year. Staff is friendly and helpful. Clean and easy breakfast.

I didn’t like the fact that I wasn’t told about $100 hold being put on my credit card for the room. I have given my card for amenities before, but not had a charge put on it.

It was very comfortable and very close to the music venue we attended only 8 miles away it was near some good eats also good trip

It is tucked back off the main road which is nice once you find it.

Wonderful staff, room was nice, beds were comfortable. I felt safe bringing my family of 4 loved being by the great lakes crossing mall, the breakfast options were good!

My stay was okay and the staff were very good. Property is difficult to locate sitting back down a drive where you cannot see any signage until you are right there.

The knob on bathtub was Brooke but could still use it. Breakfast was only waffles and had to stand online to make one.

No hot breakfast as advertised. Smelled of smoke. Bad stay

The staff were lovely but this property is run down and needs to be kept to standards. The rooms need cleaning (bed spreads 2”were white but filthy & showers had mold). Carpets in hallway need cleaning badly. Breakfast only serves hot items on weekends. When items like apple juice and milk run out no one replenishes.

Other reviews raved about breakfast. Everything was empty when we went at 9 and they serve until 10. No smoking but could smell pot in hallways and drifted into room. Seems to be very common in hotels these days. Other than that I would stay again. Quiet and clean at a reasonable price

Breakfast is bare minimum. Property is ok. 3/5.

Breakfast was supposed to be from 6-9:30. I went down at 7am and there was no one around at the desk or in the breakfast area and NO coffee. Someone finally arrived at 7:15 to make coffee but said it would be 1/2 hour.

Desk clerk wasn't very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Not much for breakfast, there was a pan that said eggs, sausage but was empty. Left and went up the road to big boy.

Glad to see they upgraded the TVs in the rooms. Sorry to see they are now only offering a hot breakfast on weekends. I have stayed in this hotel for the last 8 years and this is something new this year. Please bring back the hot breakfast every morning. Also the wall paper in the shower area was bubbling and coming loose and needed some serious attention.
