Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Big Rapids, MI

Room was clean. But the elevator was out the whole time we were there. That was not good for people in our party with back back and knees.

We stay here tbe Wednesday-Friday of Thanksgiving. Everyone who works there was extremely kind and helpful! We recwived a toddler bed as requested and enjoyed a delicious breakfast both mornings. The first night the pool was broken, but we were welcome to swim at the pool next door. You can walk right across the parking lot to Meijer. The hotel was very clean, and checking in and out wad easy!

No hot tub as advertised

Our stay at this property was great overall. Having a laundry was a feature we used. The hot breakfast was also nicely done. Would recommend this property.

Everything was fine except the elevator was out of order. Guests should have been notified before they arrived, and some sort of compensation should have been offered.

We could not use the elevator (out of order) so our family upstairs, who had a suite, had to come downstairs into our small room. It was a terrible stay. Staff was always hospitable and very apologetic.

It was a nice place to hang our hats for the night. We were anticipating a hot tub due to the online picture of the pool area, but there was none (the space it took up previously now has a table and chairs over it).

Elevator not working. Carrying suitcases to second floor was not good. Everything else was great.

There is a hot tub in the photos but no actual hot tub there. I was so disappointed that is the main reason I picked that place.

Clean. Great layout of room. Very enjoyable to stay there.

Floors were sticky and need to be thoroughly cleaned. Hair and grime in all corners of the bathroom. AC and refrigerator were quite loud.

We love this hotel, they just need housekeeping to do a better job on the bathrooms. Both times we have stayed here, the countertop behind the bathroom sinks was filthy and there was actually an old soap wrapper behind it. The toilet was dirty and stained and should be replaced but the girl at the front desk was kind enough to at least come and clean it for us seeing there wasnt any housekeeping on staff when we got there. Besides that, this hotel is in a perfect location, has a wonderful breakfast and pool and has free cookies by the front desk.

Found three bed bugs crawling on the bed the morning of our check out.

The room smell musky even though everything was clean. The shower curtain especially smell musky! The shower head is terrible, takes longer time to wash my hair…I love power shower. The room above us was definitely not quiet, running and banging door!! We were locked out the second day of our stay, when we booked for 2 nights 3 day. Still, I look forward to see improvement in my future stay.

Clean Room & Friendly Staff

Our go-to hotel when we come to Big Rapids. Always clean and staff is friendly. Perfect location.

There was crumbs on the floor and hair on the bathroom floor. One of the two queen beds had not been changed. (Hair both kinds) The room smelled of dog even after they sprayed at our request.

The alarm walls and floors are very thin. I could hear the TV next-door and heavy footsteps coming through the ceiling from the room above me. The heavy foot steps went on until midnight. Also, could hear the loud laughing from the room next-door also until midnight. The building was clean and well-kept but the noise is a definite negative for me. I would not stay here again unless I had a third-floor room and then I would have second thoughts because the walls are so thin. Would not recommend this motel for these reasons.

I am not sure if it’s the hotel itself or just happened to have 2 guests staying in the room above us and whenever they walked we heard them 😣 it was very frustrating trying to sleep (with a sound machine on) and you hear stomping above you at 1:30am-11am. Barely got any sleep. Front desk was nice above it even though we complained twice but they really couldn’t do anything for us because rooms were filled and they wouldn’t move us. Not very Comfortable

Desk staff nice and accommodating, great location and clean. Nice pool and gym area. Vending machines don't take card or bills need exact change, i got the$2.50 exact change for a bottle of water and none of the 4 vending machines would give one up. Water pressure was low and wifi caused Netflix movie to keep freezing.

i had 2 rooms and one room the continuous fan on heat/cool unit did not work and that’s a big thing for me!

Standard hotel only complaint was the AC wouldnt stay working and it was hot even in november. Couldnt get the room below 72 hallway was well warmer.

The bed's were so good we overslept both mornings so we missed the breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable and we use this place again in the future. Very quiet.

this hotel was clean. bed was comfortable. but little things our keys didn't work all the time, our hook on bathroom door fell off . the air conditioner unit didn't work very well. the room smelled musty at times.

The television in the sitting area did not work at all.

Manager at the front desk was very friendly. The room was spacious. And the breakfast in the morning had a decent selection.

The fridge in our room didn’t work. Property needs updated.

I was not happy with my stay at all. I had a 1 bedroom suite and the neither of the tv’s worked. I had kids with me. The next morning staff was very unhelpful. Room slept 4 not enough towels for 4 people. I asked for extra towels brought all the towels down to get one hand rag and one drying towel and the front desk clerk brought me bag a one hand towel and said thats all she had. Did not try to find house keeping. I had to go search for a cart to get my own towels. Flies in my room not the cleanest just overall horrible stay i will be contacting corporate because front desk was no help in accommodating anything for the horrible stay i experienced. Wont be staying there again to move my kid into college i know that for sure.

Staff very helpful when we had an issue with our TV. Swapped it out for one that gave us the Lions game.

The stay was totally fine until I checked out. I had asked for a late check out which was great but the lovely front desk clerk offered if I would like to stay longer for $25 until 4 pm which worked for me as I had a late flight out of Grand Rapids. When I checked out at 3 pm instead of 4 pm I was told I would have a full night charge instead of the $25 that was offered, I did not ask for it. After arguing with the front desk manager for 15 min or so they did finally give me the original price. Just left a sour taste in my mouth as this was offered to me, Ivdid not ask to check out at 4 pm.

Horrible management, booked the wrong date on a prepay, realized it within minutes, stay was booked for a couple weeks out, management would not even consider canceling and refund. As such, avoid this place like the plague!

They took extra steps to make sure our room was free from allergens due to my severe allergies. And they kept checking on us to see if we needed anything during our stay.

My original room had a pretty strong smell & a broken a/c. The assistant manager really took care of me; swapped me to a better room, double checked that everything was going okay. The room was clean & up to standard. It was a much needed rest during my 2 month employment at a nearby fine arts camp.

Meijer right next door, east freeway access, ruby Tuesdays and Applebees close by. EXCELLENT FRIENDLY HELPFUL staff. Truly so nice.

Clean room - why do they serve the same breakfast every day?

I like that the property is close to the highway. Its also close to dining. Oneof ourbeds was firm and the other was soft. The room was clean and smelled good. The breakfast attendedent could keep a closer eye on things. No forks or coffee cups. I will definitely stay again next time I am in the area.

The afternoon desk lady is wonderful!!! Same breakfast daily sadly, not much change up- sausage, eggs and potatoes ..

We were greeted by a friendly staff member after ringing the bell. The room was clean but only 67 degrees. The deadbolt was hard to engage and the shower head was loose and sprayed all over. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but only one waffle maker that everyone wanted to use.

Breakfast! The coffee was great! We especially liked the Bold. We had a 10 night stay in a suite and many of the mornings there was incomplete breakfast. A couple days were missing eggs/protein (bare chafing container...nothing to serve). We were told that delivery had not been made. There was a grocery store next door to the Country Inn ....why not make a purchase in order to serve a complete breakfast??!!!!! Of the 10 days my husband was only able to have a yogurt on 2 of the days. Of the 10 days my husband was only able to have a banana 2 of the days. Yogurts and bananas were not not available 8 of the 10 days. My husband brought his own fiber cereal each morning. All he needed was a yogurt and banana and a cup of coffee for breakfast. We would go to the grocery store next door and purchase the items you did not provide. These are items you advertise in your ad ( picture ). We chose Country Inn based on the complete breakfast! For a 10 night stay it was very important to us and our breakfast needs were not met. Staff was wonderful. We really needed a good breakfast daily. Once or twice to run out of an item over 10 days is understandable. For my husband 8 out of 10 days his breakfast needs were not met. We will be in this area several times a year. At this time we will be searching for another place to stay due to regular incomplete breakfasts. NOTE: The ladies serving breakfast were attentive, wonderful and apologetic. We put no blame on them.

Friendly staff, room was clean, hotel pretty warm, especially elevator & 3rd floor. Hall thermostats read 80 - condensation on windows can be seen from parking lot - disappointed that some of breakfast options “ran out” and no more could be made. Breakfast goes until 9:30am - arrived just after 8am, no eggs - was told there were no more, 3 trays were already made… tray size approx 8x4” (small catering server) - no hard boiled eggs, other protein options were all meat. No regular cream cheese, was told they were out, shipment was coming around lunch time… (Meijer is next door). Oatmeal options were all flavored with added sweeteners - no plain. Would have been a nice breakfast had it been complete. (There were plenty of carb/sugar options: sugary cereals / breads / muffins / waffles) . Upon checking out did inform front desk, was told they’ve had a lot of unexpected stays which is why they ran out of foods…stated kindly with approx 90 rooms really that should never happen. There should be options for people who do not eat meat other - he agreed and stated would bring up with management.

We had a great stay. Breakfast could be a little better but overall a great hotel.
