The room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. We booked this hotel for the hot tub and it was out of service. That was disappointing. We had laundry to do and the laundry room wasn’t available. The hallways had a bad, stale stench to them. Definitely needs some type of air freshener. One of the side entrance doors key scanner was broken off so anyone could access the building through that side. For safety reasons that should be fixed. The customer service was friendly.

Horrible. Floor was sticky, there was no hot water, the shower was peeling and disgusting, there was a dog in the hotel barking the entire time. The hot tub jets didn't work and it was cold. Everything in the room was outdated and beat up. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

Wish you had an elevator. My wife has great difficulty on stairs and you were unable to get us a room on the first floor. Appreciated you only charged $20 for our dog. Most places it is 50.

Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in…booger on window, handprints on mirror, hair and whiskers on bathroom floor, broken tile on bathroom floor…as soon as I laid down on bed I started sneezing from pet allergies…we didn’t even shower (one night stay for a local wedding and other events in town so we couldn’t even go elsewhere)

Carpets were disgusting! After walking around the room for 15 minutes this morning I realized my feet were filthy. Run down in general. The bathtub was peeling, and there was hair all over the wall. Reviews said it was clean and that was not the case at all. On the positive side Beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

Booked this stay based off reviews for one night with three adults and a baby. The hotel looked nice from the outside and average on the inside. The more we looked the dirtier the room seemed. My baby crawled in the floor for 5 minutes while we settled and once I picked her up her clothes, feet, and hands were black the carpet was so dirty. The bathtub was peeling and water pressure was not good. The curtains did not blackout the light from outside it was very bright all night. The traffic noise was very loud. You could here doors closing all night and the people above us walking all night. You could smell very foul food cooking all night. Breakfast was okay - not many options. Check in and check out was a breeze. This was our first stay at this chain and definitely our last.

Feces: Yes, feces - you know when you travel and finally get to your hotel room you usually need to use the bathroom, right? So we get checked in and go to our room and upon using the bathroom, there are unflushed feces in the toilet. Okay, we'll flush and move on but the toilet is backed up so now we have to call housekeeping. You want to know the really sad part? She blames this on the previous guest for not letting them know. Hello, you are supposed to clean the rooms and if anyone did, they would have caught that mess and dealt with it. The shower still had hair in the drain, the mirror was covered in toothpaste spatter that was from way more stays that just a night. Bottom line, it was the second most disgusting place we have ever stayed in and, we had previously stayed there two times before in the last five years and it was really nice so clearly, they have gotten off track of the good rating. We will not be going back.

Early check in was listed as $10 on the website and was what the desk agent originally said over the phone, when we got there- we were told it was actually $20. The room Was mostly clean however there were leftovers left in the fridge from the last person who stayed and the drawer inside had some sort of sticky liquid in the bottom. There were also some grapes left in the bathroom sink drain. Good location for food options and shopping.

The bathtub is just unbelievable chipping away. Bathroom sink has no tap part on the top & very, very filthy. Hair all over bathroom floor and in the tub. I have photos & will be requesting a refund. I was told every tub in the building is chipping and waiting to be repaired. Well they should not be allowed to rent these rooms in this condition.

It was an ok stay. The entire place is dated and just beat up. Missing tiles, non working lights/fans, marks all over the walls and the tub was loosing its epoxy coating. Beds were good but pillows were flat. Breakfast was just bagels, cereal and a waffle maker. We must have stayed during some event in the area. All night adult men were slamming doors, running in the halls and howling like monkeys.

we were on 2nd floor at end of building and there was no ice machine on the floor had to go outside thru lobby to get ice in the lobby. /the bathtub had half the paint peeling off and had 2 pieces laying in tub and threw away also the noise from being right on I75 exit was loud at night.The room was fine with me for the price we paid the tub just turned my wife off of the room. I did not ask for a new room even though she wanted to.

This property is perfect if you don't want to spend a fortune in downtown Frankenmuth. The drive was only about 10 minutes and parking is free at the hotel. The staff especially Jamie at the front desk were all very friendly and super helpful. The one downside to this hotel is the noise very thin walls and very thin doors. You hear people opening closing doors all night and people walking above you and going up and down the steps. Other than that it is a great property.

Hotel was clean but decor was dated. Mattress was very comfortable but pillows left a lot to be desired. Because the hotel is on a busy strip right off the highway, there was lots of noise. Refrigerator and microwave in the room, which was quite handy because the breakfast was limited. No low carb options. Convenient parking.

The staff we encountered were all friendly. Our room was clean, spacious and our beds were comfortable. Cosmetically our room needed a bit of work (the bathtub was chipping real bad) and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was not fabulous.

I’ve never left a bad review in 10 years, but this warrants one. We arrived at 220pm, after driving for 6 hours. I was taking my son to a concert in Detroit and we wanted to check in, drop our stuff, then head to Detroit and return after the show. It’s about an hour away. The front desk lady, told us we had to pay $10 to check in early. I explained the situation, it was only 30 mins early. She told us they had the room ready and available, but she would charge us $10. I asked if we waited for ten minutes, could she give us the room. She refused. I realize $10 is $10, but this has to be the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. She couldn’t even bother to look away from her computer screen to have an eye to eye conversation. I’d never suggest this hotel to anyone.

Check in process is terrible. $10 fee for early check in before 3:00pm, even 15 minutes early. Left and returned at 3:10pm and found 20 people in line. Ridiculous process and now you’ve got an upset customer. Breakfast selection is poor..just give up if this is the best you can do. Window in the room was fogged up permanently and a dirty brown stick laid in the track for security. The room shook with every step the overhead guests took. Overall a terrible hotel.

I really liked the afternoon desk attendant. He was a wonderful. I was very upset about the toilet not working. I went to the desk at 7:30 in the morning to tell them it was clogged. Came back in early afternoon, still clogged. I went out,bought a plunger and fixed it myself!. Was not happy.

The staff was some of the nicest and helpful people we have seen in all our travels. Went out of their way to accommodate us as i am a disabled vet and can't do stairs. They quickly moved us to the 1st floor. Nice buffet breakfast, basic hotel stuff but decent.

The staff was some of the nicest and helpful people we have seen in all our travels. Went out of their way to accommodate us as i am a disabled vet and can't do stairs. They quickly moved us to the 1st floor. Nice buffet breakfast, basic hotel stuff but decent.

This is a place to sleep for a decent price while you spend your time and money in Frankenmuth. The bed was comfortable; pillows are on the flat side. Bathrooms is small. Not a luxury stay by any means. The room was big enough for a king size bed but instead they choose to go with queen.

Hotel was clean but decor was dated. Mattress was very comfortable but pillows left a lot to be desired. Because the hotel is on a busy strip right off the highway, there was lots of noise. Refrigerator and microwave in the room, which was quite handy because the breakfast was limited. No low carb options. Convenient parking.

The advertisement said breakfast but there was no breakfast, thats one of the reasons we stayed there. Tub was pealing, property dirty. Gentleman at the front was very nice. Very noisy as well

I was disappointed when entering room and saw that the tub was peeling with a coat of paint. I had intended to take a bath. Then the TV was new just two weeks ago. I couldn't get it on. So maintenance came and had to reprogram it. So was happy it was resolved positively. Saturday night I peeked into sauna and hot tub area. The lights were on so I wasn't sure if broke or off hours. The breakfast was amazing. Coffee and ice water available in lobby 24/7. The tv stand bottom was chewed up. However, the room was clean, bed comfortable and pillows as well.

breakfast was not good waffles, toast, mini muffins, ceral was everything offer. no eggs, meat or anything else. was the worst breakfast at any of the hotels that i have stayed oh yes it had apples and banana. room was great the suite was big. i ate one day out of 4 days

Went to eat breakfast and there was no waffle mix left. The regular coffee was empty. This was all about a little after nine am. Was not a fan of the peeling paint in the bathtub.

There was only a couple of things that I wasn't happy about. There was people who were up late late night and kept me awake. I didn't sleep well due to that and also the pillows, they were very lumpy. The bath tub was peeling and it put me right off taking a shower. At breakfast time, there should be more choice of cereal and they didn't have my favourite cereal.

Hotel is worn down. There is no longer a pool or hot tub. All the vending machines were out of order. Glad we only had to stay here one night. The beds were comfy I will say and the bedding was all freshly washed!

America’s Best at Birch Run was a comfortable stay for our two days. Breakfast is continental and has enough options to start your day. The breakfast room was kept tidy and stocked. The room and the hotel are dated but clean and maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly. The one con is that the rooms are not noise proof. Our room faced a road and there were unmuffled car noises at all hours. You could also hear children crying and dogs barking in other rooms. I recommend packing ear plugs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a good stay in Birch Run!

Don't rent the "suite" the furniture is filthy and broken. It is nothing more than a few square feet more than a regular hotel room. The hairdryer was missing the back plate and it electrocuted me. I told the front desk and they gave me a bandaid for my bleeding finger. When we checked out, I showed a video to the front desk and they then deemed the room unrentable. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was nice. I do not blame them for the issues, but feel something more should have been done prior to us leaving.
