The staff were very friendly. I’m not sure if are remodeling but if not the property definitely needs it. The bedroom was clean and updated but the bathroom was not. Broken toilet paper dispenser, rusted out and poorly painted bathroom door. Shower had scratches all over the floor and though updated there was no shelf for soap, shampoo etc. The pool deck was completely filthy. The exercise room was in complete disarray with molding and equipment scattered throughout. It was definitely not what I would expect from a Country Inns. In its current state I would not recommend.

Right next door to Meijer. Might have to wait a while for a shuttle at night - like an hour. Unclear why, I had to call back several times. Staff was otherwise very nice. Smoking in or around the building was apparent in the am. Torn curtains in room. Very clean and tidy room. Overall not bad at all for the price. Breakfast and morning shuttle were good.

Room was disgusting and nasty dirty everything was covered in a bunch of dust coffee pot still had coffee in it and all over it along with dirt an hair food an coffee on tables floor was gross an dirty the bed was hard as a rock with crappy pillows very unsanitary especially for people with health conditions my sons lungs couldn’t handle the dust and had to use you more oxygen to be able to breathe was just uncalled for

This hotel used very deceptive photos-the room itself was ok-but the hotel and grounds was a mess-trash EVERYWHERE around the grounds-breakfast was terrible- eggs cold & inedible the bread & cereal were the only things to be able to eat. I had to talk to the hotel 2 times about security issues 1) someone propped open the side door on the hall. I noticed it in the morning and it was still propped open in the afternoon when we returned-there were random sketchy people (guests?) loitering all around the building. I told the desk person and he came and took out the black box that was propping open the door… but…he left it there? See photo-also I was disappointed that employees had gone past the propped open door all day and didn’t fix it. Next, my daughter & I were swimming in the pool (towel pile empty so no towels ) and we saw a random person sitting in their car in the back parking lot with the door open for about 5 minutes-he then got out & walked right up to the outside door and walked right in!! That door was supposed to be locked! We were the only ones in the pool & a predator could have easily overcame me & my daughter. I told the front desk( same guy )& he seemed surprised and supposedly went to lock the door. I grew up going the country inn in California & am so disappointed at what’s happened. It used to be a quality hotel with a delicious breakfast & happy hour with popcorn, nachos, soft drinks etc We were in town for a soccer tournament & had a choice

The room was clean and spacious. The pool was nice and it was open until midnight. The staff was very friendly. They even had refreshments in the lobby when we checked in: coffee, tea, a cooler of water with lemon, apples, and freshly baked cookies that were still warm.

First off, we arrived at 430, check in is at 3,and our room wasnt ready. Then we came back 2 hours later to find the room door was messed up,no security latch on the door was it was broken off, stained lamp covers, stained sheets, noisy refrigerator, noisy ACthat did not work and we left the next day and they refused to refund us for the night we didnt stay. Iwill ne er stay here again.

The property itself wasn’t bad. We reserved a king suite that, according to the picture, should have had doors separating the king bed from the seating area. We had hinges but no door. I was with my daughter and a friend of hers so I wanted that door to give them privacy (teenagers). We should’ve gotten a price adjustment because at that point, it’s a regular room

The check in staff was fabulous. The day time clerk Kalyna was very rude. Denied we had 1pm even though we had talked to the night clerk (with red hair 😊) who extended our stay. She placed a yellow sticky on the screen behind the desk. Kalyna said there was nothing that said that. She could give us to 12:45. Our check was extended to 1pm. The hotel is older and the reno was so-so. One of the side doors had an out of order sign, part of the toaster was out of order, as well as soda/water dispenser and the snack machines were also out of order.I The shower drain was VERY slow. It doesn't seem like this hotel is well maintained. They also parked several linen carts right outside our door. Never again at a Country Inn

At the front desk they told us they are over booked and told us we had to go to another location. They set up the hotel but they didn’t call or anything. We booked it long ago and that said because we used Expedia that we couldn’t stay there. Very short with us and didn’t want to listen to anything we had to say. The place they sent us was terrible. Run down and staff was worse. Clarion by the Grand Rapids airport. Same happened for my brother which actually booked it through the hotel. He had a worse experience due to not having the amount of beds for his family. Terrible

The stay was OK. Nothing to write home about. The elevator needs to be replaced badly. The second shift guy at check in was rude. couldn't get off his phone long enough to check me in. When I asked for towels for the pool it was like pulling teeth. Because of him I would not stay there again alone.

The night staff was horrible. Particularly the check in person. He was not very personable at all. I asked a question and he never answered so I walked away. He was talking about another guest and his child. Saying that they just checked in already going to be an issue. The pool was not stocked at all. There were about 10-14 people in there and no towels. When I asked for a towels he bought 4 of them. He was constantly on his cellphone the entire time. My child also found a vape in our room who is 1. It was not a good experience at all and I wish I could get my money back.

What i like most about the property was that it had a swimming pool, and a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The location was very convenient and i did not hear any noise from any other guests in their rooms! That’s a first for me.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was nice - close to grocery store and restaurants, but quiet. Breakfast was alright - not a huge variety. Our room was mostly clean, but a little dingy - a bit of food stuck to the wall next to the garbage can. The shower door wasn't hung correctly, so it didn't seal and flooded the bathroom floor every time someone showered.

First off, the hotel was not easy to find. We were using a map app to get to the hotel and it was routing us all around the Meijer property. We ended up just driving around until we came upon it. Check in was good, but when we went to our room, neither key they gave us worked. Went back to the desk and told them and was informed it was a "problem door" so she moved us to a different room. Upon getting to that room, one of the two keys would not work and the other key we had to insert 2-3 times to get it to open. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast had many options, hot and cold, and was kept well stock. Overall, the stay was good.

This hotel used very deceptive photos-the room itself was ok-but the hotel and grounds was a mess-trash EVERYWHERE around the grounds-breakfast was terrible- eggs cold & inedible the bread & cereal were the only things to be able to eat. I had to talk to the hotel 2 times about security issues 1) someone propped open the side door on the hall. I noticed it in the morning and it was still propped open in the afternoon when we returned-there were random sketchy people (guests?) loitering all around the building. I told the desk person and he came and took out the black box that was propping open the door… but…he left it there? See photo-also I was disappointed that employees had gone past the propped open door all day and didn’t fix it. Next, my daughter & I were swimming in the pool (towel pile empty so no towels ) and we saw a random person sitting in their car in the back parking lot with the door open for about 5 minutes-he then got out & walked right up to the outside door and walked right in!! That door was supposed to be locked! We were the only ones in the pool & a predator could have easily overcame me & my daughter. I told the front desk( same guy )& he seemed surprised and supposedly went to lock the door. I grew up going the country inn in California & am so disappointed at what’s happened. It used to be a quality hotel with a delicious breakfast & happy hour with popcorn, nachos, soft drinks etc We were in town for a soccer tournament & had a choice

Horrible, just horrible! The property was dirty, literally garbage everywhere, overflowing trash cans, garbage all over the grounds, just everywhere. The breakfast was basic, which is fine, but when you have mostly cereal as the most ediable option how do you run out of milk? The AC is our room leaked badly, all over the floor the first night. We cleaned it up and reported it, never got fixed. Continued to leak the 2nd night. The staff: the woman the first night we got there was very kind. The guy the next morning, he had a nose peircing, was ridiculous. Went to speak to him about the AC issue he took not 1 but 2 personal calls while i was trying to speak to him. But my favorite was when the cleaner came to clean the room because we were supposed to be gone, when we still another night and I went to speak to him about it. No one was anywhere to be found with a hand written note be back at 11am.... it was 10am.... We left for the day at 1030, I was afriad our stuff would be gone! The guy that evening was very nice and helpful but had too much to do and was working alone. Our keys stopped working, the door wouldn't open he had to use the actual key and still struggled getting it opened. Major issue: The Elevator is down right dangerous! It made horrible noises, dropped when you reached your floor, was shaking, just dangerous! I reported it and was told "I've already put in work order for maintenance" we were there 2 nights and it got worse, never fixed.

Very pleasant experience and good quality for the money. Better than the Marriot Courtyard in downtown. Breakfast was very good, clean dining room and fresh. Only draw back was the hotness of the coffee and hot water at times.

They did not have the room that I paid for when checking in. The elevator was broken, they put me on the 3rd floor. They had no food for te breakfast. They had a couple biscuits, no gravy. They had bread for toast, but no butter. No kill for cereal. No juices in juice machine. I inquired with the attendant, and she took me to the front desk. They said they had breakfast coming. Someone went to get it. I waited 30 minutes, no breakfast. I had to get to work, so I checked out. I asked for a receipt. I had paid through Hotel.com, but I received a receipt charging a different credit card and a different amount. I couldn’t identify the credit card.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The bathroom sink would not drain, and I asked for housekeeping to clean the room but no one ever came. The hotel room door also would not close properly, which was a major safety concern. There was also a spider in the room. The cable was not connected to the TV when we arrived. I had to contact the front desk, although they did eventually get that fixed. Getting towels was another issue. I had to go to the front desk for pool towels and later went back because I needed clean towels for the room. I explained that the previous towels had been used at the pool, but I was told they could not give me any more towels. Eventually I was only given one size of towel and told there were no others available. On top of everything else, the vending machine took my $2 when I tried to purchase a water that was sold out. When I told the front desk, I was only given $1.75 back. Overall, the hotel had several maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service issues. The door not closing properly was especially concerning. I would not stay here again based on this experience.

This place needs a serious facelift. A lot of areas that you can tell leak when it rains. The beds are comfy and I didn’t get any creepy crawler bites so I’ll take that as a victory.

We booked for 3 nights for a business trip. We were working at a festival with long hours. Not once was our room serviced even though we asked for it to be serviced. Imagine coming back to the hotel at 11pm with beds not made, trash overflowing and no fresh towels in your room for three nights. The hotel had no hand soap. They told us to use body wash. We had to buy toilet paper next door at the Meier Supermarket. Trash in our room was never emptied, no trash can in the hall way to even take care of it ourselves. We would have been more comfortable camping. When we asked for fresh towels at the front desk we got hand towels because they were out of bath towels. This is not a full service hotel. The front desk doesn’t answer the phone if there are issues and the overnight clerk doesn’t speak English. I spoke to a manager at checkout and not even an apology. DON’T STAY HERE!!!!!
