Hometown Inn Indian River

Positiv: das Zimmer und Bad waren sauber! Auf den Fluren sah es nach Renovierung aus, vielleicht war deshalb der Teppichboden im Treppenhaus so schmutzig. Im Zimmer wäre eine Renovierung auch notwendig. Das Frühstück war okay, keine warmen Speisen/Eier. Der Wochenendpreis ist nicht gerechtfertigt. Es war die schlechteste und teuerste Unterkunft unserer bisherigen Reise ab Atlanta.

Upon room assignment we noticed the beds were really firm and uncomfortable: similar to the feeling of a cardboard box if you were to lay on it. We asked for another room and our request was granted although the staff seemed very inconvenienced by our request to switch rooms for another first floor room, our daughter is special needs and can’t do stairs. The desk chair in the room was soaking wet and we were blamed. The breakfast selection is mediocre at best. Housekeeping was not done on our room, even though we had put the housekeeping sign out before we left. The front desk receptionist seemed irritated that I had asked for garbage bags upon our return. We asked for extra towels because it was myself whose hair is down past my butt, my daughter, whose hair is to the middle of her back, my husband and my son, and we were up in Indian River for trail riding for the weekend so we knew we would get extra muddy and need more than one shower for the three days we were there. We were chastise for asking for extra towels and two extra shampoo because my kids forgot theirs, there were no towels in the pool area so we asked for towels to use and the lady at the desk told my husband that we already had requested extra towels and he said yes those were to shower with not for using in the pool and she wanted to know why we couldn’t use them for both. Check out the next morning we were told breakfast is for guests that are staying not for guests that are leaving. We will not return.

Very nice

Beds in first room were so hard and uncomfortable that we switched rooms at 1:45am. Rooms smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Light bulbs burned out and flickering in bathroom. Breakfast was make your own mini waffles, cereal, small muffins, bagels, toast and yogurt. Did not use pool due to water being cold, did not use hot tub due to chemical smell. The one employee we encountered at 1am was courteous, but didn’t see any employees the rest of our stay. Overall average rating is due to it being the only available place to stay while we were in the area. Over priced for area and off season. Cigarette butts litter the grounds.

The room was very clean!! But the room above me were super loud making all kinds of noise till 2:30’in the morning!
