Unfortunately, this place is a dump. It's run down and needs a lot of renovation and upgrades. Duncan at the front desk was nice and he tried to help by giving me an upgrade. The bad part is that if this was an upgrade, then I would hate to see the regular room. The room was "clean", but still felt dirty. The floor felt like it had been mopped with a dirty mop. My socks got dirty from walking on the floor. In the bathroom, there was no rod for the toiletpaper, so it was just sitting on the back of the toilet. There was no stopper for the bathtub, so you couldn't take a bath unless you jammed a wash cloth or something down the drain. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall, so I don't know if it even worked. The ac/heat unit didn't work very well. The vent was caked in dust/lent and the slats were broken out. The bedspread had holes in it that had been cut out and burned with a cigarrette (even though this was a non-smoking room), and of course stains. The curtains also had holes in them and you could see light coming in through the holes. They provided a coffee maker that made one cup at a time, but no cups to make coffee in. There were only plastic cups that would have melted with hot coffee in them. The hotel wqasn't exactly cheap either. I think they raised their prices (but not the quality) because there was a marathon (which is why I was there) in town and some locals told me there was a big soccer tournament in town that weekend too.
