I did notice that while trying to workout in the small workout area that there is an unsafe condition. The water fountain that is in there is turned up so that the water shoots over the edge of the fountain. There is an electrical plug right behind the unit that if the water splashes just right would go into the outlet. Other than that, this hotel is old, outdated and the carpet needs to be replaced.

We had a good time. Breakfast was wonderful. The pool deck has pebbles gone and hurt our feet. The water was clear, looked clean.. untill you go down the steps, rank dirty!

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Loved having coffee access 24/7. Close to wedding venue, so that was a plus. My only critique is that it has dated decor and amenities, and the hot tub was out of service during our visit.

Odd location but I think hotel was there before everything was built up around it. GREAT that the was a Meijers within walking distance plus MULTIPLE food choices right nearby. Other shopping also very close. The hotel was very clean & pleasant, a little dated but that didn't stop our comfort there. The beds were THE BEST of many hotels I've stayed in & used them as my benchmark for the other 2 we stayed in on our trip. The staff was very friendly & always cleaning or doing something productive yet they always offered assistance or greetings at least. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub each night(pool floor does need resurfacing)& my son & his partner had a ball with the claw machine. They also enjoyed sitting in the surprise enclosed courtyard. Beautiful place to sit & relax with flowers, a gazebo & multiple seating choices. I'm an early bird so I appreciated using the gym in the morning(the bike needs the seat fixed) then coffee as soon as it was available & breakfast before most people were awake. Very good coffee. Breakfast was standard fare but hot & good choices. The breakfast area was very nice & like everything else very clean. I truly like hotels that prioritize the cleanliness. I will absolutely be coming back here when I visit the area. I know I'll get a great stay at a great value!

There is no indication that there is not an elevator on site That was a huge hardship for me and I would not have stayed there if I had known Get with the times and put in an elevator!!

It was amazing exceptionally clean room and bed and pillows were top notch. Great pool with waterfall and games room for the kids great pool area setup for families. Kandance at the front desk was exceptional and really helped us. I would recommend this hotel to Everyone. I was travelling from Ontario to Minnesota.

It smells like smoke and mold, it has no elevator, check in took a very long time and one of the women working breakfast unplugged the waffle maker and took the batter while i was waiting behind a dad with 3 kids. Only one of his kids got a waffle

The property and staff were good. I was just disappointed because I booked the place to use their wonderful hot tub and it was down for some time for repairs. I wish their website would have forewarned that the hot tub was down.

The service and staff was great. We had a slight issue with the room when we got there, that was honestly no big deal at all, and the staff not only switched our room immediately, but also upgraded us to a bigger; nicer room. Rooms were clean with good amenities. We didn’t take advantage of the free breakfast but the coffee was great. We will definitely stay again.

While we were only there for about ten hours, it was a very pleasant stay. We arrived shottly before midnight, following a long day in the van; there was one person on duty at that hour and she was nice, pleasant, and efficient. The room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable with lots of fluffy pillows, and we had a good night's sleep, albeit a too short one! The breakfast buffet was fine; I am not much of a breakfast person, but my toasted cinnamon bagel with butter, my French Toast with coconut, walnuts, and chocolate chips, and my oraange juice were all quite tasty. Check-out was also quick and pleasant and we were back on the road before 10:00 a.m.

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Our door was open when we arrived at the room and we wondered if we should go in……..the room smelled very musty. Our first impression of staying here was not positive.

Even though the property was dated and carpet, furniture, etc was extremely worn and overdue for a change it was the overall filth that will keep me from ever staying here again. My room smelled like a gym bag and I believe the dried puke on the side of the dresser was the cause or maybe the crusty feces still on the wall below the toilet paper dispenser. I took pictures as there was no way this room was cleaned before I was checked in as I have stayed (literally) in 3rd world countries where this would have not been acceptable.

The pool and hot tub was wonderful and not packed! That was nice ! The room was ok but the carpet in the room was in need of a clean( we kept our shoes on until bed). Hair in the tub and was spots on all mirrors and windows. Also I have never stayed in a hotel with not top sheet only blanket with sheet on top! We flipped it over so we had a sheet but the next morning I seen NO clean blankets on the cart only sheets !! Last but not least as we walked outside to our vehicle so teenagers scared the cramp out of us as they caught the door and ran in as we were going out… was not the worst I have seen but they need to check the rooms better

This hotel was far better than we expected. The front desk and check in were outstanding. The person at the desk was kind and friendly. Note that there is no elevator at this location. That was ok for us. The hallways were dirty and grimy looking - definitely in need of remodeling. We were honestly worried about what the room would be like. We were pleasantly surprised! The room was super clean. It had been remodeled and was very comfortable. We usually stay in higher brand hotels, but the closest to our softball tournament was 25 miles away. This hotel was 5 miles away. We decided to try this out and we were not disappointed. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area.
This hotel was far better than we expected. The front desk and check in were outstanding. The person at the desk was kind and friendly. Note that there is no elevator at this location. That was ok for us. The hallways were dirty and grimy looking - definitely in need of remodeling. We were honestly worried about what the room would be like. We were pleasantly surprised! The room was super clean. It had been remodeled and was very comfortable. We usually stay in higher brand hotels, but the closest to our softball tournament was 25 miles away. This hotel was 5 miles away. We decided to try this out and we were not disappointed. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area.

The staff was nice and the hotel was clean. Rooms were noisy. The people above us were noisy until after midnight. There was also a family with a lot of kids that kept running and talking loudly I. The halls until midnight. They kept slamming the door to their room next to ours until after midnight. All in all-very noisy.

While we were only there for about ten hours, it was a very pleasant stay. We arrived shottly before midnight, following a long day in the van; there was one person on duty at that hour and she was nice, pleasant, and efficient. Check-out was also quick and pleasant and we were back on the road before 10:00 a.m.

Odd location but I think hotel was there before everything was built up around it. GREAT that the was a Meijers within walking distance plus MULTIPLE food choices right nearby. Other shopping also very close. The hotel was very clean & pleasant, a little dated but that didn't stop our comfort there. The beds were THE BEST of many hotels I've stayed in & used them as my benchmark for the other 2 we stayed in on our trip. The staff was very friendly & always cleaning or doing something productive yet they always offered assistance or greetings at least. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub each night(pool floor does need resurfacing)& my son & his partner had a ball with the claw machine. They also enjoyed sitting in the surprise enclosed courtyard. Beautiful place to sit & relax with flowers, a gazebo & multiple seating choices. I'm an early bird so I appreciated using the gym in the morning(the bike needs the seat fixed) then coffee as soon as it was available & breakfast before most people were awake. Very good coffee. Breakfast was standard fare but hot & good choices. The breakfast area was very nice & like everything else very clean. I truly like hotels that prioritize the cleanliness. I will absolutely be coming back here when I visit the area. I know I'll get a great stay at a great value!

No fresh towels or sheets or coffee or trash removal for 3 nights despite calling and asking repeatedly, and despite housekeeping being literally outside the door every day when I left the room. This was a real challenge as we were traveling with a toddler. When I finally got fresh towels and sheets (only once in a 4-night stay, the night before we left), housekeeping didn't replenish the coffee despite this being explicitly requested. If you stay here multiple days, I advise to book multiple consecutive stays if you need a fresh room anytime during the stay.

The service and staff was great. We had a slight issue with the room when we got there, that was honestly no big deal at all, and the staff not only switched our room immediately, but also upgraded us to a bigger; nicer room. Rooms were clean with good amenities. We didn’t take advantage of the free breakfast but the coffee was great. We will definitely stay again.

It was amazing exceptionally clean room and bed and pillows were top notch. Great pool with waterfall and games room for the kids great pool area setup for families. Kandance at the front desk was exceptional and really helped us. I would recommend this hotel to Everyone. I was travelling from Ontario to Minnesota.

Our 2 night stay was very enjoyable and the staff at the front desk were absolutely wonderful. The housekeeping staff were also great. I will be going back to that area often for family and this will be the place I stay.

My room flooded the toliet how gross got over our clothed belgoings ect... at 4 in the morning we had to clean it up it got all over our clothes we got no sleep and when we called managment she screamed at my pregnant finance on the phone her name is kelly very rude manager. She lied and said she gave us 15 bucks back wich didnt even cover the laundry we had to do to wash the sewer water off our clothes she never decdcuted that she refused to refund the room and was very rude they stare at you to see how much you take for breakgest their arcade in the pool area took our money and they refused to give it back they charge you alot to stay here and treat yo like crap this place is a overpriced dump because of how your treated and when you book online they give you a crappy room not the nice ones they look the same but are dummy rooms when i stayed not online they gave me a dumpy room dont waste your money our time here this ruined my fiances brithday we were celebrating here and they do not care and they just treat you like crap. Ans they alos kept us up when cleaninng the sewage in the room since they just moved us to the room next to it banging on the door we gor no sleep all night and refused refund just teribble how they treat you here.

The property is hard to find unless you have a GPS. Poor signage on the main drag of town. Room was suppose to be for handicapped, but the toilet was not. It was a low one and very hard to get up off of. The shower looked very inviting, but we couldn't find anywhere to put the shampoo and soap. Normally there is a place to sit while showering. Other than that we had a great time. Very close to eating and shopping. We had stayed there about ten years ago, so we wanted to stay again.

Right near downtown Lapeer, close to everything. I think they undersold how awesome the pool area is! There is a great pool, a giant waterfall (not to be played in) and a cheap arcade. I was with my nine-year-old nephew, and he loved it! The room was big, beautiful and clean. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is a dump. Huge sprawling 70 year old hotel outdated. Had 3 rooms and 2 of them showers did not drain so you stand in 4 inches of dirty water with who knows what germs and bacteria from the 100 people that used the shower before. Also get a call at 11;15 am to tell me checkout is at 11am when the wall plate on the door (picture takin) says 12pm. Front desk and housekeeping person continued o argue with me stating its still 11am check out and the owner is suppose to be changing the wall plates. 100% recommend staying there if this is what kind of guest experiences ou and your family would like! We will be staying at Holiday Inn Express from now on across the street. We visit Lapeer Days every year.

This place is awful. I am not sure how it has such good reviews. It looks like it hasn't been updated in about 50 years. The paint was peeling off the walls in the main area and the stairwell. There is no elevator and there are 17 stairs to the 2nd floor and they are steep. Good luck getting your suitcases up there. The hot tub was out of order (comments from the past few months also indicate out of order). The bathroom in the was not clean and had some kind of grease on the floor. The bathroom sink stopper was missing and the sink drained water very slowly. The beds were so stiff and there was only a thin sheet on the top. No blanket or comforter. The ice machine on the 2nd floor was out of order, so go up and down 17 stairs to get ice and back. Went down for breakfast more than 30 minutes before it was over and there was no coffee and 2 bagels left. Nothing else. Such an awful stay that we didn't even stay the additional night and left early. Hotel options are limited in this area, but I advise making reservations in Oxford or Lake Orion. The drive is worth it.

This is a very old and dated hotel. It needs refurbishing badly. I checked in after the rest of my party had already gone to the room and the front desk person gave me my key without asking for any ID. Breakfast was just OK. The coffee was terrible and they at least had a waffle making machine so those were good. But the rest of the food was not good… And incredibly there was no elevator! I had to haul my bags up the stairs, which, by the way were very steep.
