Food at the hotel was amazing. The rooms were great and beds were very comfortable. But when I booked for a 50th wedding anniversary i booked with a patio and in the pictures it looked like a regular patio with a table and a step off to the sand. I also called to verify the room and was told by the staff “yes you have a patio and you step off on a sandy beach” It is not. it’s a slab with 2 plastic chairs and a plastic table. You do not step off into the sand you go through grass cross a sidewalk and then cross more grass to get to a beach that is very rocky. When I went to the desk the person there said “you can leave”. I was very upset at the “not so romantic vibe” Also as I was walking to my car another employee yelled “just leave”. The two faces that welcome people were horrible. The rest of the staff was amazing. There were a lot of kids there so the pool and hot tub were not really usable? The hot tub shot the water up and out of the water which was very weird and also young kids were allowed to go from pool in to the hot tub. If Romance is what your looking for… probably not here. But if you want a room it is good

Great location, great view and the complimentary shuttle to Shepler’s Ferry was much appreciated! The staff was kind and helpful. They also offer a complimentary Continental breakfast. We enjoyed the live music, the fire pits and the bar staff. Chris, the bartender, is great!

The Breakers staff--whether they worked in the lobby, at the concierge desk, or in the restaurant/bar area--all went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend The Breakers and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The property was easy to find and we liked that there was a restaurant onsite. The best part was having a waterview room with balcony gazing out at Lake Huron over toward Mackinac Island. We were able to see the sun rise beautifully over the island from our balcony! The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. I didn't get all of their names, but Beverly was particularly engaging and helpful. She also rushed to call us that we had left something behind so we were able to come back before getting too far away. Thank you!

Staff in the office didn’t know how to check in guests or how to adequately address any issues. Management not onsite very often. I was double charged and it took 5 days to get a refund back to my debit card. The girl at the desk offered little assistance other than to say I can’t help, they definitely need customer service training. I also told the girl in office my room wasn’t being cleaned and she ignored my comments. I spent most of my vacation trying to get my money back. We were there 4 nights, cleaning staff was around each day, But our room which was out of TP, conditioner bottle was broken the entire stay, and full of trash, the room was only cleaned once, because I flagged them down in the hallway. The restaurant food was good, staff were friendly, service was extremely slow. The indoor pool was full of sand, hot tub was extremely hot and filled with young children. Overall this resort has potential but after my experience, I can’t recommend it until the staff starts taking more interest in their guests and works on “acceptable”, customer service. Even if you can’t immediately address a guest issue, you should at least offer to try. It would have gone a long way. Overall very disappointed.

The room was nice and the shuttle service to shepplers was great. The only issue we had was with dinner at the hotel as my whole party got their food after a long wait and my wife's meal never came out until we Were all finished. They did comp us for the whole chech and gave me my wife's meal to go. Overall the resort is great and we will be back
