Quality Inn & Suites Mankato East

It is an older hotel so be prepared for that. Also we stayed on the second floor and there was no elevator. But if you need a cheap place to stay they have nice beds and good shower pressure.

They need a lot of maintenance/upkeep. Hot tub surround has missing pieces, laddees to the pool are broke and unsafe, ceilings and bath tub have stains and need maintenance. All around they are not taking care of the property. Breakfast has several food code violations and should not he served.

Very dirty the hot tub definitely isnt worth it

Our keys would not work to go in the pool area, no one was at the desk at 8:45pm to assist us in getting into the pool area. There were 2 towels left on the stand in the pool area. In our room there was only shear curtains so I woke up at 2am and it was so light in our room I thought it was time to get up. So I didn’t get much sleep from then on. The breakfast did not offer any bananas, apples or fruit of any kind. 2 of the 3 cereals displays appeared to be empty. They said the power went out the day before and that we would not have any TV. So we got so bored we just went and drove around in our car. Everything seems to be very worn and not updated. In the breakfast area there are ants by the drink station area…which I noticed when I sat down to drink my coffee and have a muffin. We will not be staying at this hotel again…the images of the hot tub are deceiving…and is what caught my eye when booking this hotel. The jets were very minimal, I questioned if they were even on…but according to the dial in the pool area the jets were indeed on. Our bedding appeared clean but very wrinkled. I don’t like to leave a bad review for any business but when multiple issues happen and I am unable to sleep, which is the whole reason we booked a hotel to begin with, I feel it is best to let others know. Now I have a long drive ahead of me today and not a good night of rest or relaxation.

It’s an older building. Bathroom had dirt and dust in corners. For the price this is what you get. Hot tub was empty, pool was too cold to swim.

The parking lot asphalt was in very poor condition.

Steps in pool Fix the ladders on the pool they are loose to get out. Hot tub was no working WHY??? Got wrong room I reserved a king size room and got two queen beds .

Room was horrible. The ceiling needed painting, the carpet had something on it so when you stepped on it your foot was sticky if you didn’t miss it, the chair in the room was wore out, hot tub was not very hot and jets didn’t work proberly. Pool area the ceiling had paint and dry wall tape coming off.

We wished there were security cameras in the parking lot. We felt unsure about our car being safe. I was also worried about my elderly mom in the parking lot, as the surface had some cracks and was uneven in places. We also had no towels in the pool area. The hot tub was perfect, and it was an attractive pool area. The staff was accommodating and helpful when we needed assistance. The breakfast was nice, and we saw the staff cleaning different areas, several times. Staff was polite! Thank you!

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We moved a chair and found a baby bottle with sour milk in it. It was dirty. Smelled like dirty feet in the room. The coffee tray lamps and tray were filthy. We had to clean it. Floor was dirty. And we had no shower curtain. Sat in the Hot tub. And there were ants! We complained to 3 of the workers showed them the pictures and they didnt care! For breakfast the yogart was sour. Not sure how they can have people stay there. I asked for a huge discount due to these issues and have not heard a reply. I told them. They do not want a bad review so this needs to be fixed! We have stayed at many quality inns and have never had the poorest experience at a hotel!

We had 3 rooms and they all had mold problems in the bathroom. The drains were dripping and there was black and green mold in drain and around the faucets. The floors were dirty and stains. The bedroom area the walls had stains. Downstairs by ice machine was dirty and the rugs and floor were all dirty. I mentioned to the front desk that they had a mold problem and explained what we found. He wasn’t interested and never apologized or given any money off. Disgusting and over priced for graduation weekend

Sadly, I was warned by more regular hotel not to stay here. I normally book elsewhere. This was close to my regular location. Staff was great and accomodating. The room was gross specifically dirt and hair on the bathtub, dust on tray surface in bathroom, chunks of dirt/ dust on phone and not stocked. Lotion and shampoo bottles were half empty and clearly used earlier. Many corners cut here.

There was black mold in the rim of the toilet. "stuff" on the garbage can in our room, towels were worn, hotel smelled of incense, screen window was broke, mold on the windows. I wish I would have taken pictures, but I didn't. I wont stay here ever again. Disgusting.

Building dated on outside and you can see from the parking lot a room with mattresses leaning against window. First thing you see when entering hotel is a dirty phone used to contact staff not at desk. The office desk with computer in the lobby next to dirty phone has a leather seat that is cracked and peeling. Our room had a broken and rusted door frame in bathroom that is missing two inches of lower part of door, broken toilet paper holder, mold around tub on floor, no drain plug in tub, used toiletrie bottles, mold on ceiling, leather chair and leather desk chair have cracked and peeled seats, popcorn texture coming off ceiling from a previous water leak upstairs (it wasn't fixed or patched, just painted over in paint that doesn't match rest of ceiling, the fire sprinkler system is rusted, pulled bedspread back and found pubic hair on sheets, outlets are bad in room, bedspread is stained, disintegrating curtains, and tables with a layer of dust. I have pictures of it all. Not worth $186 a night.

Old food left on a broken and dirty phone, curtains broken and not working, large yellow stain on duvet, tub drain clogged, walls behind toilet filthy, light bases sticky, mold in bath tub walls....and smelling terrible. Needless to say we left and booked another place

Room was “clean” but everything was damaged, stained or moldy. The shower was clearly leaking behind the wall causing a huge mold spot in the shower and a smell throughout the room.

From the minute we pulled up to this hotel, we knew we made a mistake. It only got worse as we stayed the night. Every part of this hotel is dirty. You first walk in the lobby and no one is behind the desk. There’s a phone you need to pick up to call the desk, which was black due to being dirty and literally looks like it’s never been wiped ever. Hand sanitizer station at the desk also not cleaned before so there’s a brown grease like substance where the dispenser is. Took a while for front desk to appear to check us in. Terrible customer service by person at the desk. Both rooms we are staying in were filthy, no surface wiped down, layer of dust everywhere, stains on beds, walls, moldy bathroom, ceiling falling apart, broken toilet paper holders, body hair in the sheets. my parents asked for their sheets to be changed specifically due to the stains and pubic hair, took two times asking and getting angry to finally get them changed. No apology from anyone here. Filthy throughout the rest of the hotel. At night, there was also a baby crying for long extended times in the STORAGE ROOM at the end of the 2nd floor. This hotel is NOT worth $200. That is a joke. It’s a run down motel that should be $50-$99 p/n like all the rest. We will never ever return to this hotel for any reason whatsoever. The family we have already spoken too who have also seen the hotel physically and via pictures, will make sure they never stay at the Quality Inn & Suites Mankato as well.

Hairs and stains in and around the beds. Had a musty/smoky smell.

Stuff was falling apart. Light bulbs were burned out. The floor in the bathroom was coming apart.

Well first off the room that I had was too far away from whatever Wi-Fi they have so I couldn't use the Wi-Fi which it advertises that there's free Wi-Fi, also I found another person's shirt in my room right when I got in there so they obviously don't clean that well. As far as some of their staff goes there was one man in particular that could not figure out how to charge me for another night so I ended up having to leave and go somewhere else because he could not figure out how to work his computer so I paid for it online in front of him and then whatever he did on his end made it so that it was canceled but he said it was cuz my card was declined which was a lie I had already paid for it. It was a mess the whole time being there not worth it

Came here because of location and price. This location room are very dated, need some extensive updates.

Hotel was clean, but old and unrepaired. There were broken lamp shades and worn fabric on chairs in room. Bathroom doorframe was rusted so that it was difficult to close door properly. Good price, but probably would not choose this location again.

Check-in was good. Young man was friendly.The room was in dire need of an upgrade. The backing on the drapes had pealed off of the back in many areas. The clock didn't work the top of the toilet tank had been broken and glued back together. The carpet looked to be new. Other than that I'd say the room was sum what shabby especially for the price that we paid

No TV entire stay. Hotel could use some repairs. Room was clean and breakfast was typical of an included breakfast.

The outside of the building looks old and beat up a bit. The room was clean, the curtains didn't close, the bathroom was kinda beat up. I decided not shower because of it.

Sink and tub drain drained very slowly. There was a bulb out in the bathroom. The tv remote only registered about half the time. Most if not all of the outlets did not work. The chairs look like the were purchased from an office that used them for the last 15 years.

In our first room the TV was not working. Staff came in for a short time and tried to fix it. He couldn't so he immediately took us to a different room. Hotel was clean.

Hotel is a little run down with seemingly very minor upkeep. A little black mold above the shower head and a few rips in the shower curtain. Alarm clock was unplugged and I found out why. It doesn’t keep time and has periodic static. Nice enough staff when I saw them. Overall a comfortable stay for the price as I was just staying for one night on business. Which I think most tenets were doing also. A lot of construction workers. I wouldn’t pick this hotel for a vacation. Best regards, Jacques

Staff showed no respect towards women. Staff did not care about the safety concerns i had. The overnight staff stated they did not care and to just leave. Booked a two night stay and didn't even stay a full night. When we first checked in they put us in the wrong room then asked us to move after we already laid in the beds. The second room had dirty bedding with stains and a cigarette burn on it and there was a vile smell lingering in the air. When we tried to voice our concerns we were met with "i dont care leave then" and accusations of smoking in the room (which we did not, and we purposely walked past cameras to go outside and smoke run the tapes). They were all disrespect with no costomer servie skills, one of them was even barefoot at one point in time (no socks, no shoes) arguing with someone on facetime while getting food from the vending machines. They also had cracked ceiling tiles on the first floor, water stains on the tile and few black splotches as well. Overall it was a bad stay and i will make sure to inform everyone i can that their safty is at risk. Oh my daughter is also having to make a doctor's appointment because after laying on the bed she started to get a rash on her chest and arms.

Incredibly terrible and rude MOD/CDR at front desk: Rick. Screamed at myself and colleague upon arrival. He seemed xonfused and disoriented. Im not sure if he was on something or a medication.

No staff at front at check-in, the room was dirty, the fridge did not work, bedding was dirty and the pool was so loud. I was down for my daughters tournament and just asked for a refund to leave as they were full. They refused to give me a refund.

The staff were rude to us for every interaction. We didn't ask for much in terms of accommodations - we asked for towels for the pool area, and we asked about their pet policy, and we bought beverages from the front desk because the vending machines were not stocked - and the staff were nothing but rude to us. The pool area didn't have towels because the staff chose to use this is as way to gatekeep who was using the pool. The pool hours weren't being enforced, and guests were allowed to remain in the pool after the end time. When we asked for towels, we heard from the staff that only guests sleeping at the hotel were allowed to use the pool, after we had already been using it. There were no signs posted and no information that we could find about this policy. The reason for our visit is that we have family in town and they joined us for the evenings and went home to sleep. If we had known the policy in advance, we would've respected it. It seemed that this staff member disliked us and was especially rude. The second morning at breakfast, one staff in particular, was very rude to our child while he was cleaning the buffet area. The staff member yelled at our child for trying to go around him to get breakfast. We do not tolerate adults yelling at any child, let alone our own. When we told him not to speak to our child that way, he proceeded to yell at us as well. We dumped our full plates of breakfast into the garbage and immediately went to our room to pack and leave.

The staff all need customer service training. The two we delt with were terrible. No welcome, no thank you for staying, not even one smile. The morning guy was getting breakfast across the room while we waited at the desk and then acted like we were the ones inconveniencing him. The whole place just feels old and worn out. The rooms need paint and the furniture was beat to heck. However, the place did appear to be clean and the beds were comfortable. We won't choose this hotel again, though.

The evening staff (8:00 PM check in) was not very welcoming. Our key cards shut off two hours prior to check out time and the person on duty was unable to reset them. The bathroom was dusty and had dirty in the corners of the floor. The housekeeping staff was kind and helpful.

Turned up to 2 young kids at the desk and no adult for way too long (someone called police they and been alone that long). Kids were handing out random room keys. Got to the room eventually and it was dirty and the bar lock was broken. Breakfast was minimal and tasted plastic. Avoid.

The hotel itself was just dirty old. The swimming pools were slimy and when I went down for continental breakfast around 6:30 AM, there was nothing left and they weren’t making anything else. Don’t put that on your list of having continental breakfast if you’re not gonna have it at 6:30 AM in the morning.

The eggs and sausage were lukewarm and the eggs were watery. The bathroom commode water ran continently. I informed management about the water running continently too. All-in All it worked out fine for my short funeral stay! The staff was very friendly!

A GOOD cleaning can do wonders here. Breakfast was poor, no Juice Sun. morning. No fruit. There was watery eggs & sausage. No sour cream or peanut butter for your bagel, just butter. cheap. I Loved having my coffee thu.
