We booked this hotel specifically for a relaxed night away in Minnesota winter and mainly had planned to swim in the pool, soak in the hot tub and use the sauna. It wasn’t until after we had checked in, we saw that the hot tub was drained, the sauna was out of order and the pool was FREEZING. Had I known all this, I wouldn’t have wasted my money.

The staff was super friendly. However, the hotel is under new management so the pool and hot tub were down for renovation; there was no breakfast offered; the ice machine was out of service; the hair dryer had been pulled off the wall and was laying on the clothes rack along with the wall mount: no light bulb in the large lamp. My fee should be reduced because of all the amenities listed in their website were not available and weren’t told to me before my arrival.

Got charged on our credit card when we were told it would only be held on our card then we could pay cash. Then we were told it would be taken care of but never was. No ice machines. Pool was down. At least it was a place to sleep.

There were very noisy people next to me who were up after 3 AM, so I didn’t much sleep. The rooms were nice and clean and all other aspects of my stay were good except being on the 2nd floor-no elevator, I had to carry my luggage up with bad knees. It would be good to ask people when they register if they need a first floor room or if 2nd floor (no elevator) is ok.

The pool/spa area has been "out of order" the entire seven years I've been spending Labor Day weekend in Nisswa, which leads me to wonder if it ever worked at all. The mattress in my room (#117) must have been 40 years old, offered absolutely NO support at all, and sagged in all the wrong places. Accordingly, I'm going to have a back ache for about a week. Staff seemed friendly, and the surroundings were clean and well kept.

We didn’t even stay there. The hotel had major false advertisement. No pool or hot tub. They didn’t have the breakfast. You felt like you were in a construction zone because the first floor was being remodeled. We ended up finding a much better hotel but still paid for this one:(

Under construction/remodel. So some amenities are not available. My non-smoking room had a lingering smell of smoke. There was hair in the dresser, dusty and dirty, especially behind the headboard. The bathroom was the best out of everything, but I believe there's well water and I can bathe in that. I'm frustrated because none of this goes along with the title of Luxury. I would like a refund.

The rooms were dirty. We literally had to clean & sanitize the bathroom and the drawers. The bed sheets and blankets are filled with hair. Even the new one we requested from the front desk. We ended up buying our own sheets. I wouldn’t recommend using the towels either. It has all types of stains & hairs.

I arrived late due to travel and it took about 10-15min for someone to let me in the front door. Stood out getting eaten alive by mosquitos. The sheets were dirty and stained and the bathroom was not that clean. I was expecting bugs due to the room condition. Yuck. Unfortunate, because it’s such a nice area. If they made some updates, they could up the price and get more tourist to stay there.

The room was disgusting. It smelled of animal urine badly. There was hair in the shower. Specs of god knows what on the walls in the bathroom. The floor was disgusting. There was a splatter of white stuff on the TV that was never cleaned off. The sheets were super rough and didn’t fit the beds. And kept coming off the mattress. And when the front desk was asked about any of these things they made excuses as to how they could not make anything better…… There WAS a tiny potpourri pouch hanging in the room to try and “mask” the pee smell. It didn’t help. The hairdryer also seemed to have been ripped out of the wall and they never cared to fill the holes. Disgusting, disappointing and I’ll be emailing about a refund on my pet fee: since MY pet isn’t the one who made that room smell like that. GROSS.

The room was not clean! The carpet in the room was so gross dirty and sticky that it left our feet and socks black. The coffee pot was dirty, black tar coffee on the bottem from previous people. The breakfast had no protien, stale cereal, and the milk was in a pitcher that had a thick ring through the middle of spolied milk and on the bottom. The last day we were there there was a gas leak in the pool area that the girl at the desk said was because the water heater broke and has was leaking out. We left early because we didn't want to sleep in a hotel that had a gas leak. The girl that was restocking the breakfast walked around everyday in her socks.

There is an odor to the hotel and they tried to cover it up with air freshener. The bedding was stained and dirty (hair is the sheets). I pulled the sheets back and the mattress had stains and crumbs in it. I won’t be back.

I was very disappointed in a couple of things. There were five of us in a family suite. The bathroom was so tiny, that it was difficult to get in and out. With three children to bathe, it became quite tight to assist them. Also, the description of the room said there would be a pull-out sofa. We found a futon, which was not very comfortable. The breakfast left something to be desired. I don't tend to be one to complain, but with the cost of the room, I feel we should have had what was listed. I apologize for my negative complaints. The area is quiet, and safe.

Comfy bed, but the pull out couch ended up being an extremely small click clack futon. Not great for sleeping on and super uncomfortable to sit on. Room was full of mismatched furniture. Hot tub was broken which was ahuge bummer after ice fishing all day. Walls were very thin so the room was noisey. Would not stay here again.

When we checked in, the lady there wasn't very friendly. Having a bad day, I don't know. Very grouchy. Our room smelled like smoke. Our door wouldn't close unless you rally slammed it shut. There was no ice machine in the hotel. You had to get it from the front desk. When you asked for ice, they made you feel like you were asking for diamonds. Also, no refrigerator in the room. The toilet also lifted off the floor if you moved even a little bit. Needs a little tightening. Just a lot of small things. Don't know if I would ever stay there again.

Room was roomy and clean. Water pressure was not good. Bed was too soft and you could feel when your partner moved at all...it shook the whole bed. Breakfast was very basic. Would probably stay there again knowing the shortcomings.

We had a wedding in the area and so stayed here just one night. Staff was helpful even tho the computer system wasn’t functioning properly. Got us a room early so we could change quick before going to the wedding after our drive.

First of all I went there to ask a question before my stay and when I got there, there was no one on site. We waited i swear over 30 min and no one showed up, my cousin looked all over the hotel to find someone and even went outside to look and no one!!! Finally we found the bell by the front door and we pushed it finally she came out from where ever she was and she was really rude to us from the start and we got to the property after I think about 6:30pm. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again because of the rudeness staff member!!

I’m requesting Expedia’s assistance in getting my money refunded for my stay on August 16th and 17th. The mattress had a disgusting blood like stain on it that we discovered on the morning of the 18th because the sheets came off the bed. Management was made aware of the mattress on the 18th when we checked out but the manager, Julie was out until 4:00. I called and talked to Julie on the 18th at 5:00, she said she needed to talk to the owner on Monday the 19th and she would call me. Julie never called me and I called again on the 19th, 20th and finally on the 21st I called again and Julie answered the phone and told me that she talked to the owner on the 19th but wouldn’t do anything. Personally, I don’t think Julie talked to the owner. This mattress needs to be removed from the hotel so no one else sleeps on it. I paid $350 a night and I want a full refund. I’m can send you a picture of the mattress. Please advise and thank you. Toni

When we arrived to check in at 9:30pm, the door was unlocked, but there was no one at the desk. We rang the doorbell and called the hotel phone, and still no one came. We found our room keys and went to our room. We left a note and went to get gas, and when we returned we finally found someone.

I arrived at the hotel and asked to check in around 2:30. I than said we have a couple of dogs. She asked me if I had let them know and I said I message through hotels.com. Her response was we do not always get these messages. However, someone from your hotel responded with the $35 fee to my email. So that was a lie. Than she said to come back at 4. We did. I went to give her the credit card I wanted charged and she said they had already charged in in the AM. Which was another lie because the dog charge was on there and we didn't tell her about them until around 2:00. She refused to let me change the card. She was rude as well. We got to our room and the total had pee on it. As well as it wouldn't flush all night. I could have even been okay with these issues because it was one night But the customer service was absolutely horrible. I do not recommend this hotel.
I arrived at the hotel and asked to check in around 2:30. I than said we have a couple of dogs. She asked me if I had let them know and I said I message through hotels.com. Her response was we do not always get these messages. However, someone from your hotel responded with the $35 fee to my email. So that was a lie. Than she said to come back at 4. We did. I went to give her the credit card I wanted charged and she said they had already charged in in the AM. Which was another lie because the dog charge was on there and we didn't tell her about them until around 2:00. She refused to let me change the card. She was rude as well. We got to our room and the total had pee on it. As well as it wouldn't flush all night. I could have even been okay with these issues because it was one night But the customer service was absolutely horrible. I do not recommend this hotel.

When we checked in, the lady there wasn't very friendly. Having a bad day, I don't know. Very grouchy. Our room smelled like smoke. Our door wouldn't close unless you rally slammed it shut. There was no ice machine in the hotel. You had to get it from the front desk. When you asked for ice, they made you feel like you were asking for diamonds. Also, no refrigerator in the room. The toilet also lifted off the floor if you moved even a little bit. Needs a little tightening. Just a lot of small things. Don't know if I would ever stay there again.

Property was very central and easy to find. Staff was friendly and accommodating as I came in late. The room was not fancy and the facilities were somewhat dated - but you get what you pay for. Overall - a good budget motel in a beautiful part of the world.

This is an older place, but kept clean. It’s a great location close to downtown Nisswa and the Paul Bunyan bike trail. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

They have a great location and the price fut our needs. We simply needed a bed to sleep in and it was incredibly comfortable. The hotel reception was really responsive because we arrived late

The staff was friendly and the parking lot has easy access, but the building is in need of renovation. It is an older building with scratched metal doors, worn carpeting, a bathroom fan that did not move air, and too much furniture in the small room that made it feel overcrowded. Also, the ice machine was out of order and there is no continental breakfast available.

Be advised there is a 35 dollar fee for pets. This is a rip off in my mind. My dog is very well behaved, doesn't use the bed, shower or anything else in the room. He doesn't shed or track in as much dirt as your average kid. The "breakfast" was one of the worst I've seen. We went to the coffee shop down the street.

The Inn advertises Breakfast, but apparently only on the weekends. We were there Friday late night through early Tuesday morning and only saw breakfast Saturday and Sunday. There was nothing on Monday and Tuesday, not even coffee in the air pots. I am not sure how many people were at the Inn but that shouldn't matter!

We didn’t even stay there. The hotel had major false advertisement. No pool or hot tub. They didn’t have the breakfast. You felt like you were in a construction zone because the first floor was being remodeled. We ended up finding a much better hotel but still paid for this one:(

Room was roomy and clean. Water pressure was not good. Bed was too soft and you could feel when your partner moved at all...it shook the whole bed. Breakfast was very basic. Would probably stay there again knowing the shortcomings.

Our door handle fell off couldn't open or lock it. They offered a different room too late in the day to move my family and all of our stuff. Nobody around to repair. Nobody at front desk. Ordered towels and more blankets to only come do late at night because you have to text a number and wait for them to reply. Our king size bed was broken and creaked all night.

At first glance, this hotel looks amazing. The building is a bit dated, but the room looked great when we walked in and the check in was a breeze with no front desk to deal with. Then we noticed the issues. Our AC was not keeping the room cool. There were multiple trip and fall hazards (in an ADA room). The bed broke within 5 minutes of my wife and I climbing in for the night. The hotels solution? No apologies, no manager on site to help, just move someone who specifically requested (and paid for) an ADA room on the second floor in a smaller room with less amenities, and not offer any sort of compensation. Avoid this place if you want a truly restful time and not having to worry about waking up with your head on the floor, or tripping and falling while going to the restroom at night.

We set our dirty towels outside our door, they took them but didn't leave any clean ones . So no towels for the next day on our 2 night stay. We didn't have a remote for the tv so no tv .There is no front desk workers so I call the number and leave a message about the issues, finally got a return call the next day an hour before check out to ask if we got the towels I replied no and hasn't heard a word since. No word about a remote for the tv. . No coffee packets. We brought coffee but wouldn't work in there machine. 2nd time staying there , first time good this time not.
