If rooms had been kept up good location. Very nice pool but didn't have time to use it.

They seem to be doing some aggressive remodeling. But we didn't get one of the remodeled rooms (like you see in the site photos). We got what they are tearing out and replacing. The bed was comfortable, the room wasn't dirty, just worn. Well, the inside of the door and the door frame were grimy. They are associated with the Inn at Grand Glaize, so we had the option of using their restaurants and facilities. But we only stayed one night, and we weren't on site very long. Grand Glaize is also getting a make-over. I would stay here again. But I would confirm a newer room.

Wa unable to stay at the motel as they were having alarm problems. They sent us next door (no charge ) for the night.Was supposed to be an upgrade-NOT

Price seemed to good to be true. I think they are trying to update/fix/renovate but was surprised by multiple things. No pool, had to walk to next resort to use theirs and multiple steps, no trash cans, no phones. Toilets don’t work well, both rooms we reserved looked like the doors jams had seen Better days, nailed shut in places, looked unsafe. Advertised breakfast, not so. Looked like people actually lived there, maybe housing units?? The owner seemed extremely nice but looked overwhelmed. Almost didn’t stay but didn’t have a choice most places were already booked at that point.

Unit next store to 1015, door not completely closed, broken window, apparently school aged children living there with adults during the week loud in the morning, after school starts, quieter, once school let out loud again. Extended stay on building when we got there the decking seems to need repairs uneven walking surface. ash trays everywhere people smoking cigarettes and marijuana 24 hours a day.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was old and needs some cosmetic work but clean. The water was hot. The pool was clean. Not always someone in the office. Would have loved a coffee pot in the room!

This by no means is a 5star hotel but it is a really nice lodge with big rooms and with a porch (not private but no one bothers you) and a good sized pool and a nic3 lake view.

Manager was very nice. Property was in terrible condition. Construction everywhere! Sawing and pounding right next door to my room. Door lock did not work. Furniture very stained. Was watched by people in other rooms every time I went in or out. Did not feel safe and left early even though the room was non-refundable. I don't feel the place should be rented out in that condition. Very disappointing!

the property is under needed renovation. the owner were very polite and accommodating.

Old and dirty. Stains on towels, and linen. Cracks in the wall. Place needs some TLC. Mostly dirty, i can deal with old bit the room wasnt cleaned very well.

It's an old route 66 looking hotel. Been around some time. But it was clean and the old memoryfoam bed wasn't bad. bathrooms were ok. The old carpet has seen better days. All in all it got the job done.

The pictures of the hotel, lobby and rooms on the internet are a honeypot play. Those pics are from several years ago and do not accurately represent the current conditions. A husband & Wife team took over managing the property about 3 years ago. This team handles everything including cleaning the rooms themselves and maintenance etc etc. Upon entering the main lobby I thought I had walked into the living room of a hoarder, there was stuff pilled up everywhere and nobody to be seen. I actually thought maybe the booking website was in error and this hotel was actually closed. After a minute or so the wife of the team came out and greeted me. After a conversation I was given my room key but she did tell me I may have to jiggle the lock to get it to open? I entered the "Non" smoking hotel room only to be greeted by a strong Oder of cigarettes, it smelled like a giant ashtray. A small couch was inside the room covered in stains, cushions, arms, everything stained from what appeared to be a result of people using the pool outside and then sitting on the couch with their wet chlorine soaked clothes, it was really gross. There was a sink outside of the toilet area and when I went to turn on the water the enter faucet lifted up and moved around several inches in all directions. Upon opening the door to the toilet and shower area the flooring looked like someone laid down regular plywood and just painted over it, the wood wasn't even or cut to fit properly.

Staff was very friendly. Manager came in less than 2 minutes to get tv on and showed some free features. I liked that office had snacks and food to buy saving us money and not having to get dressed to go out. Room was very clean!, but bathroom needs some cosmetic work ( ceiling had moldy area) but very pleased with room overall.

Would not recommend to a friend sheets had stains. Cobwebs hanging in every corner of the room dead bugs in the cobwebs. Only the was it was easy find find and guy at the front desk was very nice. Everything else was not so nice

We found the accommodations to be very clean and comfortable. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was nothing fancy, but had ample space and included a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. Our room overlooked the pool and the lake, which during the summer months, would be an amazing location. It was reasonably priced and we intend to return for a longer stay during the summer.

Family owned. ALOT of live-ins sitting out smoking cigarettes and pot which made the smell unappealing. Doors were busted up from being forced open and hard to shut and lock..had to push it with your body. VERY OUTDATED ROOMS! Tried to take shower second night there and NO hot water. No extra plugins. Will not be back..dont know why anyone would.

I love that the bed is comfortable. The room is spacious. I have a lovely lake view.

I come here at the least once a year or more. Its quiet and hope it stays that way. The staff is absolutely amazing to me always has been. I hope they never leave. I dont ever wanna stay anywhere else.

The manager/the elder gentleman was super nice and very hospitable. Our flight got cancelled, and we got there 24 hours after our original check-in time. He understood our struggles. Overall, a great person, and he knew how to treat the visitors/travelers. Many thanks for your efforts.

Disgusting, no service, shady staff and patrons

Staff was great, late check in not a problem, so nice, and chairs outside the room to take in the lake.

There are long term residents living there. The place is filthy! Waiting room looks like a hot mess. The residents are everywhere outside. At no time did we feel safe!

Hotel was clean, employees were friendly. Pretty sure there were ladies of the night working there, saw a few coming and going from rooms. Also, there was a police standoff taking place on the floor beneath us. Probably won't return, we didn't know it was that kind of place when we booked.
