Solid hotel with large lobby area. The valet parking was overwhelmed when I arrived so I parked at the garage just up the street. Please reconsider parking at this lot. They double charged for a 3 day stay with no recourse for refund. The hotel itself was pretty much run of the mill Marriott offering, mostly clean and austere with a few odds and ends that didn\'t work. I stayed here as part of a wedding block, but would not choose it otherwise. The room was across from 2 ice machines, the staff closet and right beneath the fitness center, so it was pretty noisy. The phone did not work and the bathroom had a couple of maintenance issues. I did not like the 2 sheet "duvet" cover as it just falls apart by halfway through the night, and the slightly dicey comforter pops out just like it did for the last guest in the bed. A lot of difficulty adding a night on at the end.

This hotel is so rundown, badly in need of renovations. Bathroom was dirty, the shower floor was so gross my mum would not shower. We never got our room cleaned even though we were there for 2 nights, no one came to tidy up. Extremely dissatisfied with hotel, and the front desk staff who looked and acted as if they could not care less.

The room was beautiful. However, shower leaked (enough to bother during the night), room phone did not work and air conditioner was very loud and difficult to keep stabilized temperature wise. Otherwise, the hotel is amazing! The room service was fast and the food delicious!!

The hotel was nice and the staff were kind enough to move rooms for us when I said the air conditioner was making a very loud noise in the first room. The air conditioners are loud in every room it seems (but better in some) so if you have trouble with inconsistent noises, it may be bothersome. It is a little inconvenient that there is only valet parking available and that you have to go to a lot that isn’t part of the hotel to park; however, valet let us take out our bags before parking the car. The bartender at the hotel bar was very cool to talk to and made great drinks. The hotel was very conscientious located to a lot of restaurants and it was easy to walk to all the historical sites we wanted to visit. We would visit again.

I have been a guest at Marriott Bonvoy Olde City several times (My son is a Philadelphia resident in Old City.) During this particular visit there was a wedding party and some sort of other gathering that was very noisy and very late. I understand the celebratory moods and parties, but perhaps some investment in sound barriers on those balconies might help. Also - valet service was dreadful this time. Not enough space in your entry circle, not enough employees to help with valet requests and unloading of vehicles. Perhaps expand that space even at the expense of affecting the front landscape. My vehicle was requested early in the morning, and I still had to wait almost an hour when I was leaving. Seems they could not locate the car.. I missed a lunch date. Next, I was quoted a price online of $809.74. At check-out the bill was $960.91.

It took 3 people and 30 minutes to get us checked in because “The way we get bookings from Expedia doesn’t work with our booking system.” Expedia has been around for a long time- it seems like this problem should be addressed. They had a good bar, but the service was slow and the prices really high, considering there are a lot of good restaurant options nearby. The room was small with a tiny fridge and no microwave. Housekeeping didn’t remove dishes when they cleaned one day. Overall, not impressed by the service.

I have stayed at this property before and suggested that my group stay there because of the positive experience. However, I was not as impressed with the service this visit. During booking, I had to pay a fee for an additional guest in the room but when we arrive the room was not set up for 4 people as I had listed on my reservation. I called guest service to request 2 more sets of towels and when we returned that evening the towels had not been delivered. I had to call guest services a second time to eventually receive the requested towels. I am not sure what I paid the additional fee for in this case. Additionally, we waited over an hour for valet parking with no communication from the staff about the status of car or our place in the queue.

Great hotel, great location! Walkable to so much! The staff was super friendly, rooms were big.beds were comfortable. Its in Old City near the water but very easy acess to everywhere. Would absolutely stay here again.

This Marriott is in a very good location to explore the older parts of Philadelphia and the restaurants from lower Chestnut St all the way to South St. The drawback with this hotel is the noise coming from I95. If you get a room on the East side of the hotel - especially on the 3rd or 4th floors, it is going to be noisy all the time.

Stay was great. Wi-Fi free for convoy members, talk to front desk to get reversed. Large bar area doubles as a nice hang out spot for watching tv and eating meals as a group. Great location.for independence hall historic sites.

I was very disappointed in tbe quality of the room. It needs to have greater attention to making the room more comfortable. Also I found tge breakfast to be sub par. This is the Marriott not some 2nd class joint.

The overall experience was first class. Starting with the man, who took our suitcases, was so friendly, so welcoming and informative. The bar that night was short of staff, even though, the barman, was able to serve each customer with kindness, courtesy, efficiency and a smile. Kudos for him. Elizabeth, from the front desk, was kind, helpful and informative as well. All that, besides the location, the food and the beautiful hotel.

The room was beautiful. However, shower leaked (enough to bother during the night), room phone did not work and air conditioner was very loud and difficult to keep stabilized temperature wise. Otherwise, the hotel is amazing! The room service was fast and the food delicious!!

Great stay, but wish the bar was staffed better. There were long wait times for drinks. Bar restaurant stopped serving food at 6pm on a Friday night.

The location of the hotel was good for the historical things we wanted to see while visiting. We did have issues with the hot water 3 out of 4 mornings when in the middle of a shower there was NO hot water! It was not at the typical "busy" time in the morning either. Front desk employee was very nice in the AM when we informed her of the problem, the one in the afternoon definitely had more of an attitude with questions we had. The morning we at breakfast at the "restaurant", we were charged $24/person for the typical buffet breakfast many hotels offer for FREE. I will probably look for a different hotel for my next stay...I wasn't that impressed for the nightly rate.

The hotel was great! Some inconsistency with the bar tenders making drinks differently. The sheets were clean but there was a stain on one side. The biggest issue is the absolute highway robbery that is $60 a night for valet parking

Staff when checking in were not helpful. Rude and I paid for club access didn’t assign my keys to that or give me any information about it. We had to go back downstairs later that day to ask. Female bartender rude at night. Asked if we can get another round have us attitude “Well I don’t know what you’re drinking”. Had no clue we had to call the room service number on our cell phones to order room service. Stood there waiting for the same rude bartender to acknowledge us while she passed by us with our food to pick up. When asked if she can help us check our order “ well we have a lot of orders coming in tonight, what’s the name” wasn’t necessary and then had the audacity to ask for a tip. We came in from California and this was terrible experience our first time in Philadelphia for the amount I paid for 3 nights 1200$ down the drain. Multiple staff being this rude in such a pretty establishment. Be ashamed because we were very patient as being guests.

The staff went above and beyond from the moment we walked into the Hotel. On top of that, it truly is a beautiful place to stay. Wonderful location close proximity to historical landmarks, restaurant’s and beautifully scenery.
