Super 8 by Wyndham Missoula/Brooks Street

Check in literally took 30 minutes. There were only two guests ahead of us. The bedspread had cigarette burns in it. The keycard entries had been deactivated. Anyone could enter the motel. The ratings were not accurate. It was quite and the water was hot which was good.

WiFi didn’t work. Only working entrance was up front. They put us as far away as possible. I am disabled and had made note of that

The property was a little older and run down. The outside and parking lot was ok and conveniently located near Applebees and Pizza Hut for dining and also near Walmart. There was a refrigerator and microwave that were convenient. Due to the age of the property it did have some reminiscence of cigarette odor but we used a little febreeze room air freshener to combat that. Air conditioner worked well during a heat wave. There wasn’t an elevator and we were on the third floor so accessibility was a little inconvenient for hauling suitcases.

Dirty carpet card lock on back door broken, no wifi, cell phone limited service, no place to charge a cell in room, bathroom dirty floor behind door, duct tape used as door threshold,, one room key didn't work.

It was really pet friendly. Price was reasonable. Breakfast doesn't have much to offer. Over all property is old but clean. I would stay there again.

Front desk person was extremely pleasant and cheerful! We booked online not too far before checking in and had our accessible room upgraded to a room with 2 beds instead of one at no extra cost. Bathroom had only 1 working light out of 3. The handicapped rail beside the toilet was pulled out of the wall so very dangerous to use. The toilet had an extensive crud build up where the water line was. Toilet paper had to be requested instead of having an extra roll in the bathroom. Breakfast had waffles but the batter was so thick that it didn’t spread in the waffle maker. Staff were too busy socializing to keep sugar, plates etc stocked. No eggs, rock hard apples, a previous guest had left their freezer pack frozen to the inside of the freezer and short of doing a complete defrost the freezer was pretty much unusable. Lack of parking on a non busy night makes me wonder where people park when they are full.

I had my 91 year old mother with me who fell and broke her hip recently. They had no accommodations for a room on the first floor and no elevator to go to the second floor but suggested a first floor room and have her sleep in a recliner.

I had a pet and the hotel was very accommodating. Room was clean and bed was nice. Check in was quick.

Filthy carpet and bathroom, entire hotel smelled moldy and smoky. No elevator. Security of hotel was sketchy. Price was ridiculous for this level of hotel even for an event.

Hotel room was dirty with long hairs under the sheets when pulled back and hair all over the bathroom. Toilet seat had urine under the lid and honestly looked like no one cleaned it. Would not stay again.

The room was so outdated and filthy. I wore my shoes the entire time because the carpet was so dirty. There was a little bug in the bathroom and the shower curtain was so brown at the bottom. It should have been replaced a long time before. I understand it is an older motel, but cleanliness should be a priority. We had 2 rooms and the other room had issues with most of the lights working too. Not a pleasant stay at all.

My room was filthy. There was a mold ring in the toilet, hair in the bathtub. Toothpaste spots on the mirror, and rings from a glass on the nightstands. The rings weren’t in the finish, they were from a glass sweating and would easily have dusted off It hadn’t been vacuumed. I do think the towels and sheets have been replaced, but absolutely nothing else. I was provided a password for the Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi didn’t ask me for a password and there was nowhere to put it so I had no Wi-Fi. My cell phone didn’t work because the signal was weak. The Wi-Fi must have also been weak because the TV went in and out continually. Would I ever stay there again? If that was the only place that had a room available in Missoula, I would drive to the next town.

The hotel was very dated and the room smelt as if it used to be a smokers room and didn't really try to do much to make it smell clean. Staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable however the reminiscent odor reminded me more of a bowling alley than hotel.

Hotel has very basic cable and no buttons or remote for tv to change inputs to use Roku device

People next door fighting, throwing furniture for over 2 hours. Phone did not work. I was terrified.

The location and everything was adequate. The staff was exceptionally pleasant. My only complaint is the BED! We had a king size bed and my husband and I literally rolled to the middle when we got in it, it was horrible and so very uncomfortable. The bed needs REPLACED! I am sore all over from trying to sleep in it for 3 nights!

The hotel was very old and poorly maintained. Cost was high for the condition of the property. Wifi doesn’t work for iPhones.

The price and location are really decent. We usually stay at super 8 hotels because they are middle of the road and you usually know what you are going to get. This one is in desperate need of a remodel. It was clean but everything is starting to fall apart. The bathroom fan cover was falling off, the shower curtain was falling down, the smoke alarms were beeping occasionally. Some lights were burned out. Older furniture and fixtures were fine but dated. Bed was typical of super 8 comfort.

There was lots of noise from a neighbor room all night. Knocking on walls, yelling, loud television; and the staff didn't do anything to prevent it.

My basement room was quite musty. Breakfast was meager; I passed and went to coffee shops both days. Staff ok, but checkin lady gave me 2 card keys, neither of which opened my door. I didn’t expect five star accommodation, but other budget motels do a superior job.

The first room they put us had a noise AC bathrrom was not that clean and phone did not work to call reception. Went back to reception and they did change was to another room that was better, but still a bit noise because windows do not isolate the sound from the road in front of the hotel.

Check in was super slow!!! We couldnt get towels, had to go buy some! Breakfast options were horrible! You need a source of protein! Staff didnt care when problems were reported!! And we had many rooms!!!

The checkin process was inconvenient. I completed the online checknin process which stated i would just need to go to the office and pick up the key to the room. The lady that was at the desk was rude and i had to complete the check in process again.

To be fair didn't end up staying but the front desk lady was the worst during entire trip. She should not be so dishonest. However manager was fair.

This motel was clean and friendly. The tv programming was bad. I like that itbwas close and convenient to restaurants and shopping.

A nice typical Super 8 hotel. Very good breakfast. A long drive from I-90 especially traveling north. Better access for return to the freeway northbound. Lots of shopping in the area and restaurants. Fairly busy streets to be expected but quiet at night. Missoula hotels more expensive than other Montana cities.

Stains on the carpet. I requested a non pet room, the hotel put us in a pet room, in a daylight basement room. Breakfast was poor. The new owners got rid of the cheese omelets, no big tex sweet rolls. No shops or restraunts easy to get to from the northside of busy Brooks St/hwy 93. There is an extended stay motel behind the property with contractor equipment parked there. New owners shouldn't degrade an already poor property and location with being frugal with breakfast selections and stained carpets.

Great for the price. Clean. Only downside is no vending machines but Walmart is across the street so . .

Good facility. Breakfast was skimpy: no protein available. Not a good sign when a guest is frying up her own bacon & eggs in her own electric skillet in dining room.

Place was good for a stopover, breakfast included.. not really impressed.. only hot item was Waffles

The hotel is old and needs updating. Breakfast was slim with no hot food selection. Bed was comfortable.

Room had a vinyl floor that was so sticky when out of the shower and dried off it felt like walking on shipping tape. There was almost no water pressure making it almost impossible to rinse the shampoo out of your hair or rinse your arm pits. Plumbing fixtures were almost impossible to turn on or adjust the temperature because they were so corroded. The rooms don't get any daily service. So no fresh towels, no made bed and we were left one 1 ounce shower gel squeeze bottle for both of us. Not each! The free Breakfast is pathetic. No sweet rolls, no muffins or bagels just sliced bread and a toaster. The butter was a stick of butter laying out on a plate with flys sitting on it with a plastic small knife for cutting it. Two pump coffee thermal containers, both with the same caffeinated coffee and no decaf that at best was just warm. They did have waffle mix however. The orange juice was in a pour bottle container just like you buy for your house at the grocery store. I had reservations for 5 nights at a cost of $450. After two nights we had enough. I go to check out and come to find out they had already charged my CC for the full stay of 5 nights. Which is unusual as you are usually charged at check out. So no one is there that can credit my CC. I'm told only the GM can issue credits and she won't be in until 9 AM. So we wait until 9:30 AM. No GM so we leave. I call back and was told my CC was credited and I was emailed my receipt. I was charged $250 for 2 nights.

Upon arrival the female at the front desk was VERY nice and cordial. I understand that the premises are dated but I felt the property was NOT worth the price. The morning desk clerk help seemed indifferent and didn't offer so much as a "good morning". The vending machine was completely empty. I was previously a night auditor at a Super 8 hotel. The breakfast was minimal. the 37elevision channels were not very good and the remote control was not user friendly. will not be staying at a Super 8 again.
