Do not stay here, especially if you have respiratory issues or are immunocompromised. I brought my husband here for his birthday weekend and the room was completely damp with a strong, musky odor. Management brought in a dehumidifier, but the room humidity remained dangerously high between 77% and 82% all night. When we asked to check out early, management was incredibly dismissive, blaming it on "local humidity." Two separate managers refused to apologize until I called them out on it. They gave me the runaround regarding a refund, falsely blaming Hotels.com, and ultimately only refunded one night because we chose to leave instead of room-hopping. I have left multiple messages since returning home and have been completely ignored. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

We had a three night stay booked at the Crowne Plaza Resort Asheville by IHG. The first two nights were horrific. Teenagers running up and down the hallways. We could not sleep. At 10 PM on the second night (10/2/2026) we called the front desk. We were told that there were kids throughout the property. In addition we were told that NC law required that all children be in their respective rooms. We also inquired about switching rooms. At about 11 PM with no relief the front desk said their night security guard would handle the situation. That did not happen. When told room 280 was open I went to that area and noted the kids were coming off the elevator from the hallway for 280. In sum the staff couldn't care less. We stuck it out as we were exhausted but the noise and disruption continued thru the night. The morning front desk person was much better. The young woman apologized and said when we returned from our planned activities we could still switch rooms. She said as we booked with Hotels.com IHG could not refund any money. When we returned in the late afternoon we could not have another lost night of sleep. We checked out and embarked on a 10-hour drive home in which we arrived at 3 AM. The person at the front desk seemed to be unconcerned about our experience.
