Comfort Inn On the Ocean

The room was clean and the one issue that we did have, with the toilet being clogged on check in, was addressed immediately. Breakfast was decent the day I tried it and desk staff were very friendly! My only criticism would be the overwhelming smell of pot smoke once someone checked into the room next to us, the entire floor smelled at one point, had I been staying longer I would have asked to be moved to another room. To each their own, people are free to do what they want but it stinks plain and simple and it’s supposed to be a no smoking property, so I guess places need to enforce that more.

Breakfast was ok. Property itself is super run down. I'm a regular at OBX, but this is my first (and last) time staying there.

Rooms were clean but outdated building. Front desk lady was super nice and upgraded us to ocean view.

Unannounced renovations that started at 9am. Drilling, grinding and sawing. Sounded like it was right underneath me. Shower faucet was coming off the wall and leaking. Tub didn't drain well. I alerted the front desk to the issue after my first shower on the first morning of my stay and it never was fixed. Room was fine other than that.

Comfy bed, nice and friendly staff, in a great location!
