Baymont by Wyndham Rocky Mount I-95

I've stayed there several times. Clean, safe, and easy to get in and out with our big truck.

Easy parking and a quiet stay.

I stopped for a short 9 hours. The property was fine. The room was excellent. Parking was great for my U-Haul and trailer. The only negative was the reception on the television. I had hoped to spend an hour down time with the television but that wasn't available. Otherwise everything was great!

Ok, so the ONLY complaint we had was with the breakfast coffee, but breakfast was otherwise decent and being honest my brother who noticesaid something about it to me it is an early morning coffee snob. They were repaving one side of the parking lot and half of the lot was closed but, life goes on and I did not complain, the parking lot side that was open was just close to full. The staff was awesome. We had a trailer with us and got there late but the sweet lady at the desk (approx 10pm fri Nov 7, 2025) let us park on the curb since we were leaving early the next day. Thank you so much! The gentleman behind the front desk was very friendly as we were leaving at about 730-8am on Saturday. Our room was clean, both beds were fresh with 3 comfortable pillows each bed (I find a pillow can make or break your night on the road) and both of us woke up feeling well rested in the morning. The TV worked well, we travel for work probably 80-100+ nights a year and basic hotel rooms can be very hit or miss, often with TVs that you have to wade through 100 channels of junk to find anything watchable as you unwind from your day. The fact that I complained about the coffee ment that I had to really look for something wrong. I would highly recommend this Baymont if you need a room and if we ever find the need to stop in this area again I will be more than happy to stay here.

Everyone that works here is so nice and friendly and quiet if you need something. The swimming pool is so clean. Best hotel pool I have been in

Dbl bed suite was large with 2 full rooms and 2 showers and bathrooms. Beds were comfortable Upon arrival front door was locked with a handwritten note and phone #. Pool was small and warm like Bath water. Ice machine didnt work at all. There was trash in the trash cans in the room, and leftover items in the fridge. Floors were so dirty i would jot recommend walking withoit shoes or socks. Feet or socks will be black. Room smelled old and A/C unit was old. Free breakfast had a waffle maker, bagels, toast, muffins and oranges, but the eggs, sausage and cheese are cold in a mini fridge and have to be microwaved. Price was good for less than $100 for 2BR suite with plenty of room and comfy beds, but you can definitely tell the age of the place. Seems there may be some regular or premanents residents at this property...??

Dirty room

All the employees were extremely kind. Always said hello and asked it there was anything we need. My only complaint is the carpet in our room was very dirty. It was definitely vacuumed but when walking without shoes on my feet were filthy

Place is just dirty and old. Front desk person was great. Rooms are super dated and dirty. Lots of stains everywhere. My kids feet were black within an hour or being there. Not enough electric outlets for just basic things. Beds comfy if that's all you are looking for.

The ladies at the front were very nice and welcoming unfortunately the place was filthy. I had to go to the store and buy cleaning products before allowing my family in the room. I didn't buy anything to clean the floors with though. My kids finally came into the room and when they took their shoes off, waking from the bed to the bathroom their feet were black. It was like they ran around outside with no shoes on for an hour. That's how filthy their feet were just walking through the tiny room. Im sorry there's no excuse for the filth that was there. The rooms are so tiny that it shouldn't take very long to clean them so it was very disappointing to say the least.

Cockroaches. Seriously. On my bed when I woke up.

Room reaked of smoke and holes in covers and sheets. Cats all over the place outside. Couldn’t use pull out couch because there was no room for it to pull out.

Due to my town not having power for 2 days and no sight of it coming back, i booked this hotel nearby for my family to stay in and cool for a couple nights. We checked in late at night, waited minutes to get assistance and then another 20 minutes to check in. I had the rooms already reserved and the night receptionist ended up charging me again. Once we got our room we went in passed out. Only good thing was that the room was cool. The next morning after we returned after getting breakfast, we noticed mold everywhere. I can't believe I had my family breathe that in all night. I went ahead and checked out that afyernoon instead of staying another night.

No WiFi, wonky toilet and shower didn’t drain well, lights were weird, remote for tv barely worked, didn’t get the same room we booked for. But front desk service was excellent and pleasant.

Its location off 95 makes it a good choice for a quick overnight stop. Bed was comfortable, the other furniture in the room is beat up. It looks like are trying to stay on top of things but needs to be redone. Refrigerator works well, internet is slow.

It was a nice stopover on our way to vacation. The motel and rooms were dated and a little beat up but it was clean and inexpensive.

Clean but dated. Room was clean, however most of the furniture was worn or had minor damage/wear. The shower curtain rod in our room was beginning to come off the wall causing the shower curtain to not stay in place as we showered. The TV reception was not HD and the signal appeared to be so weak that watching some shows was not possible without the picture freezing. We ended up using a tablet to watch TV. Although there was a coffee maker in the room there was not coffee or fixings. The breakfast did not look good so we ate at the Hardee's next door.

The room was great. The breakfast was also great as well. My only complaint is the tv was set to analog and the tv stations came in fuzzy. But only watch it early in the morning or late at night..

AC sounded like a rocket taking off periodically. No kleenex? Toiletries were jumbo, immovable bottles, make sure you know is which before you take your glasses off. Definitely needs updating! Only half of the electrical outlets worked and they were over crowded.

The railing on the second floor was broken and I have a 2 year old who likes to be independent. I had to hold her tight leaving the room. There are feral cats everywhere. Looks like it hasn’t been updated in 100 years. Internet didn’t work so the tv didn’t work. Never again.

I rated this hotel by what condition I saw and experienced while I was there and also I experienced an altercation in the lobby of the hotel as I was checking in with the staff members of the hotel there was fussing and one staff member pulled out a Knife and the other continued to move closer to the other staff. I was very affected by this altercation and to tell the truth wasn’t sure at that point if I was SAFE…..

Arrived at hotel at 1 AM as this was a layover stop and even though it was paid for on Hotels.com, the hotel said it was not paid for. Check in took much longer than should have due to this and is not what we want to be doing at 1 AM after driving for hours. Had to chat with Hotels.com for them to contact the hotel. But otherwise that was fine.

Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly

An absolute nightmare! DONT GO THERE. the worst was the staff. They were terribly RUDE, no help. The staff member literally SCREAMED at me giving me a full blowed panic attack. The owner was of no help, full of lies, never following up on his words. HORRIBLE

As soon as we entered the lobby it smelled of pot. The whole check-in process was incredibly slow. The room was clean and warm upon arrival. Breakfast was sufficient but not at all great.

Property would not allow check in because they claimed Expedia had not paid them yet, and therefore a balance was due. Had to wait over an hour for the front desk assistant to make 3 different phone calls, not including an incoming call from Expedia stating that the room was already paid for, before they would begin the check in process. Once in the room, it was immediately obvious that it was very dirty, and there was a strange odor coming from the carpet. The corners of the room had filth that had been accumulating for a very long time, and it just looked generally run-down. If I hadn’t been driving for 12 hours, and wasn’t having to leave in 6 hours to begin driving again, I would have checked out immediately and found a new hotel in a new town. Definitely won’t be staying here again, and I can’t recommend you do either.

This Baymont was very well cared for and clean. We had no concerns about staying there. The room amenities were nice including shampoo, lotions, etc. Small coffee pot in the room with single serving packets of coffee, plus tea that I was very happy about since I can't drink coffee. A nice stay. I would recommend this Baymont!

It is an old school hotel in the middle of a rehab. Staff is very friendly. The location was very quiet and I felt safe.

We always find Baymont Rocky Mount to be dependable, staff is courteous, bed is comfortable, room clean, the only drawback is restaurant availability. Only casual no where close to get a drink after a long drive

I loved the peace at and around the hotel, there was even a Denny’s directly beside it.

Unfortunately this property is in a very depressed area with several closed and run down motels.

Very limited dining. Hardees next door, and Waffle House across the street. The hotel is easy off RT.95, and easy return. Nice comfortable clean room for the price. There is breakfast in the morning and coffee in the room.

Property is pretty tired and run down. Lots of sketchy people around. Smelled like weed. Room was average at best. A few people looked like they lived there. Fine for a nights sleep but that’s about it.

We weren't satisfied with the location or the condition of this hotel. The breakfast was okay, but there was not much monitoring from staff in the area regarding replenishment. A family took over the breakfast area, which was very uncomfortable, and the noise.

Reasonably kept up exterior. Prolonged, very inefficient Che k in that room fully 20’. Comfortable room. Heater dust covered and loud. Hairs and dust under mattress (no bed bugs though). Bathroom and rest of relatively spacious room clean and Comfortable. Breakfast was Sparse and underserviced. Service in general seemed Disinterested in the patrons. Not bad for The price but no better than a 3 star

We were very pleased! Check-in was efficient, room was very clean with many amenities. Varied breakfast options was a pleasant surprise.

Place is clean and good quality bed/beddings, good bathing hot water, dispensers shampoo conditioner and body wash. Good breakfast - waffle, egg, sausage, choice of bread, orange/apple juice, coffee, yougart, fruits cereals etc.
