The door to the building didn’t actually lock even though there was a sign saying it was locked and had a broken card reader outside the door. The card reader on our room door also didn’t work properly. The walls were paper thin. It sounded as if the people in the next room were in the room with us. One bed had a nasty brown stain on the comforter.

It was a nice place. It was in the middle of refurb, so there was a little disruption with that, but overall, it looks like they're making it a nice, it's a place to stay.

VERY CLEAN. VERY CLEAN!!The STAFF IS AMAZING! Very nice, they made us popcorn and the greet you when you come in. This is HIDDEN JEM. MUST STAY HERE. It is 10 minutes from EVERYTHING I MEAN EVERYTHING!!! The beach is BEAUTIFUL. Great price I give my thumbs up!!!

First room tub had a lot of mold so I was given another room mold in that tub but not as bad. Room had a smell. I will not stay there again for any reason. Paid too much money for one night and the room was horrible

The guy working at night was unprofessional and refused to speak. One of our beds had blood stains on the comforter. If you stay here check the beds first. The woman was nice though when we checked out the next morning.

The property smells awful like mold & mildew I had a hard time sleeping got up early to grab breakfast and the options were among the worst I have seen in a hotel breakfast and I don't expect much.

Worst experience ever. Checked into the room after midnight after driving many long hours (6 ) with two children…pulled the sheets back and BEDBUGS went to crawling. I immediately took pictures of them, then put them in a plastic cup and took them to the gentlemen downstairs. He moved our rooms. (My husband killed a roach in that room)… My eight month old came home covered head to toe in bites! (Also have picture proof) The front desk just say but we moved your rooms, being as the rooms rotate sheets/towels/etc not sure how bedbugs can be contained to one room…Since coming home I have not even brought our luggage in because I’m so concerned of transferring these disgusting critters into my home! I have tried reaching out to a manager, and have also emailed the facility concerning the matter but no one has reached back out to me. I have contacted their local health department and they assured me they would be following up with an inspection. Maybe that will get a response.

For the price of over $200 per night, the room itself was very tight without drawers or much in terms of amenities. There is not a fitness center etc, but the overall complaint I have, is the intense moldy. Mildew smell throughout the property and room to the point where my eyes started to burn and my nose was irritated. It felt damp and not comfortable.

We had roaches on the walls of our room. 3 small ones within an hour. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom had dirt in all the corners. My door wouldn’t close properly and had to be bolted to stay shut. The staff was very nice but not much they can do with what they have to work with. Cancelled our future stay with them

She acted like we were an inconvenience. Thankfully we were only there for an overnight stay for an early baseball game.

The first room we were assigned had a very strong chemical smell. We asked to be moved and were accommodated quickly by a very nice and pleasant front desk person. The second room was fine and acceptable to us. The rooms appear to have been renovated and It was nice not to have carpet in the rooms. We would certainly stay there again if we needed a place to stay in the area.

This place was very clean for a smaller facility. However my room 307 had the loudest AC on the planet. The first night I got 0 sleep. I was falling asleep at all my business meetings. The said they would have maintenance look at Not!!!! I was finally given another room. Of course I was not refunded 1 night worth of stay. I would stay again. Only in case of an Emergency .

Picked this motel because of price and what I thought was its central location to the island beaches. It was a drive of 15 or more minutes to get to those islands so we did a lot of driving in 5 days. Only one restaurant close enough to walk to. Our room was clean but very small. One wobbly desk chair to sit upon or the bed. Poor wifi. Lost connection every day. We sat by the clean outdoor pool everyday. Basically the motel was a place to sleep, wash and regroup for each day. Yes, free breakfast with fresh fruits, waffles and other sweets and cereals until 9:30am. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous.

We stayed Xmas Eve. Everything was very good but the bonus was the kind older lady behind the desk. Working extra shifts so coworker could be home for Christmas. She was sweet and funny and so willing to help.

This place is really nice and clean. Far exceeded my expectations. A great value. Joanne, the front desk clerk was so friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure that I had all the information I needed for my stay in the area. I will definitely stay here again.

Michelle, who checked us in at the front desk was excellent! She was super friendly and extremely professional and polite! Y’all need to give that lady a bonus or a raise. Some sort of recognition. We come this way twice a year and used a competitor of yours. Never again! The service will be bringing us back here every time! Thank you.

I would have given three stars if not for the fantastic front desk staff. I had to change rooms twice because the first room was adjoining to another room and you could hear every step and every word. The second room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. But here’s the thing: the front desk man cheerfully and quickly switched rooms for me both times and I wound up in a really great room. My advice? Don’t hesitate to ask to be switched if your room is not good. This property aims to please, so let them.

The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. The place was clean and the staff was very nice. For what we paid for this room we were very pleased. And the location was only about 10 minutes to Ocean Isle Beach which was where our event was. I'd definitly stay here again.

Suitable, clean, friendly staff. A little off the beaten path with a few odd turns but close to Holden beach and a comfortable enough rest. Not fancy and the most modern but not beaten up. Would stay there again.

The room had a weird smell and the blanket on the very top had a big stain. The employees were fantastic! The pool is alot smaller than the picture. I was shocked by how little it was. Location isn’t to bad. You are close to everything and 8 mins from ocean isle.

This property is located close to a few beaches but tucked away to have some peace at the end of a long beach day without paying the price for a beach house. The staff were welcoming and kind - we’ll be back!

Very convenient location. It was very quiet tucked back from highway. Beds very comfortable. Less than 10 miles from 2 beaches. Breakfast was great. Awesome steakhouse within walking distance. Staff was friendly. Affordable.

The front desk staff were very nice. Breakfast was only high carb items like bread, muffins, waffles and cereal. Some proteins would be a nice addition - like a meat option and hard-boiled eggs.

Breakfast is a desaster. The only protein are boiled eggs, that looks like 6 months old. Apples were in bad shape, and coffee looks like the water they used to clean the coffee maker.

There was a large stain on the comforter. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 6:30 am. I went down at 6:40. There was nothing available. A couple of guests were at the front desk waiting to check out. We waited about 10 minutes and then an employee came in from outside. He said he would have breakfast available in about 20 minutes. The 3rd floor was frigid. We turned our a/c off in our room for our entire 4 day stay and were comfortable. Not easily accessible and not a good parking situation.

So Everything was good except the pillows were very small and very soft. The breakfast was ok they had cereal, Waffles muffins & bagels it would have been nice to have eggs bacon or sausage.

It was a clean and comfortable hotel. The staff were really nice and helpful. The walls are thin, could hear the family next door and breakfast was disappointing. When i went down to eat there were waffles and cereal which is better than some places. A quick search and i found a local diner so all was good. would stay here again

The stay was short and in was worried due to price point but this location and my room was very nice. Room was very fresh and clean. Staff at front desk was great. Breakfast was at 630am and he had everything ready. I would definitely consider this ovation and do not worry about clean. This is a smaller hotel and they take really good care of it.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. The lady who checked us in that evening was super sweet and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. I particularly love the bed and most awesomewere the sheets they were silky , soft and smooth and super comfortable.

There was a damp smell that was strong in the room. Helped to open the window but every time we left it closed the smell was strong on return. After being in the room 20min, you don’t really notice but clearly they have had a problem over recent weeks as when checking recent reviews others made a similar comment. Other than this, reasonable value for region. Rooms were clean. If not for the smell, I would describe as good. Rooms are small so really sitting on the bed when in the room. Good for a few nights.

The outdoor trash cans were overflowing every day and trash was left around the pool. The breakfast had very limited options and my bagel was moldy. The front desk clerk asked which floor we preferred. I requested the 3rd floor. She then said, "I can't do that." and put us on the first floor.
