Room was clean, staff helpful, nice location downtown with free parking, but the AC/heater fan was loud & distracting. Eventually I was able to go to sleep. I mentioned it when I checked out and it seems like others have had the same complaint. Staff said they are planning to replace the fan units.

The only complaint we had was the time it took to get the elevator and getting to the other floors. We and other guests got very frustrated. Otherwise, nice visit.

Parking Lot is a little far away (300 yards) and the cops will issue tickets for parking in the wrong spot. The Hotel does give you a voucher for the parking garage though. The breakfast was fantastic much nicer that any hotel I've gotten breakfast at, except in Europe. Clean room, nice staff.

We had a good stay overall. The hotel is lovely and located in the heart of the town of Keene. The loft room was comfortable and worked great for 3 people. Only complaint is the air conditioner was extremely loud. I had to purchse better ear plugs in order to sleep. Free breakfast was very good with good choices available each day. Only other issue I had is the entrance of hotel is Main Street with stairs so recommend you call hotel on arrival and have receptionist meet you at (locked)back door where there is a ramp making it easier to carry luggage. Free parking is a short distance away in public parking lot.

Great room. See above star ratings. But configuration of hotel is weird. No stairs to lobby. Elevator takes all day and doors open so slowly after achieving the floor that you think something is wrong. The noise in the street, not the hotel's fault, is extremely loud and continuous. Motorcycles with no effective mufflers roar up and down the street at all hours. Not sure we would stay there again.

The rooms are large however the air conditioning unit was very loud and spitting out ice into the room. The elevator is incredibly slow and while there are stairs to exit the building no stairs lead you to the lobby or other common areas.

Great historic hotel. We stayed in a loft room which is a wonderful option for families as it allows two separate sleeping spaces in one room. And it has two bathrooms! The upper level air conditioner was a bit noisy when it kicked on, and the lack of shades at the top of the beautiful elegant windows made for a very early morning wake up. But other than that, the room was amazing!

This is a hotel that seems to have forgotten they are in the HOSPITALITY BUSINESS. The building is charming & in a great location. However, the front desk staff is HORRIBLE,. The only helpful and friendly person working there seemed to be the maintenance Engineer (who was helpful, & friendly). We arrived at 2pm... and our room was not ready (OK 3pm check-in). We asked if we could drop off our bags. "We don't usually do that" was the response. This was as friendly as it got. They did offer us a room that suddenly became available ... but one in which the HEAT did not work - we later found out that they knew this AND did not mention it (we ended up wth a space heater in the room)! This could be a really good hotel... but they need better staff/management ... and we strongly suggest at least one or 2 of the front desk staff take a shower and put on some clean clothes). This is sad. Untill they get a better team - RUN AWAY!!!

This is our second time staying at this lovely hotel and we enjoyed everything about it. Mike at the front desk was super helpful, the complimentary breakfast was delicious with several fresh options, and our room was clean and comfy. The location can’t be beat-you are in the middle of a vibrant town square with shops, restaurants, etc. Love, love, love this hotel.

We rented a 2 floor suite and the ac didn’t work at all on the second floor. We asked them to fix it twice. They didn’t. They refused to move us to another room. They said ‘well, it’s an old building.’ A total disappointment for the price we paid. Nice neighborhood, free breakfast was good, Free parking.

Great room. See above star ratings. But configuration of hotel is weird. No stairs to lobby. Elevator takes all day and doors open so slowly after achieving the floor that you think something is wrong. The noise in the street, not the hotel's fault, is extremely loud and continuous. This is really a nice place to stay. They are friendly the room was very clean and well maintained. The free breakfast was amazing with everything you could want. from hot and fresh eggs, sausage to cereals warm muffins, bagels and on and on. way better than We expected. Would defiantly stay again. Oh and right down town location.

We had a good stay overall. The hotel is lovely and located in the heart of the town of Keene. The loft room was comfortable and worked great for 3 people. Only complaint is the air conditioner was extremely loud. I had to purchse better ear plugs in order to sleep. Free breakfast was very good with good choices available each day. Only other issue I had is the entrance of hotel is Main Street with stairs so recommend you call hotel on arrival and have receptionist meet you at (locked)back door where there is a ramp making it easier to carry luggage. Free parking is a short distance away in public parking lot.

Our room was enormous and looked out over Main Street and a side street. The windows are tall making the room very bright. We could easily walk to campus from the hotel, though it takes forever because you want to stop in each adorable shop you pass on your way.

This is our second time staying at this lovely hotel and we enjoyed everything about it. Mike at the front desk was super helpful, the complimentary breakfast was delicious with several fresh options, and our room was clean and comfy. The location can’t be beat-you are in the middle of a vibrant town square with shops, restaurants, etc. Love, love, love this hotel.

Parking Lot is a little far away (300 yards) and the cops will issue tickets for parking in the wrong spot. The Hotel does give you a voucher for the parking garage though. The breakfast was fantastic much nicer that any hotel I've gotten breakfast at, except in Europe. Clean room, nice staff.

Nice check in with kind staff. No strong odors. I do wish the bar area was open a bit later. Shows at Keene typically last until 10 and it would be great to have a beverage at our hotel.

Exceptional hotel in the perfect location in downtown Keene. We were in town to visit family for the holiday, and could not have picked a better location, close to excellent restaurants, bars, coffee shops etc. Rooms were enormous (we were in suites), super clean, and with comfy beds. Complimentary breakfast was very generous-with fresh egg options and plenty of fresh fruit and juice, very clean and well attended to. Staff was wonderful. Had a minor issue at check in that was resolved immediately and professionally. We were extremely happy with our stay and plan to stay again whenever we are in town. Highly highly recommend.

We did have a problem with the AC/heating system. Our room was very cold and we had trouble getting the AC to stop running so we sould get some heat. After contacting the front desk, someone did come to help us and it was better but I think there are issues with the system. Breakfast was excellent with many choices available. Location is very good, easily could walk to shops and restaurants.

GPS brought us to back entrance, which can only be accessed by key. Front entrance is right on Main Street. Hotel is desperately in need of a refresh. A/c unit leaked and drenched the rug. Furniture old and sticky. Beds, eh. Towels not great. All in all an okay place to sleep for one night, but would have moved to courtyard if we had to stay longer.

Generally speaking, things were fine. However, the bed has a big decorative headboard, mostly covered in vinyl. The vinyl was peeling badly, which gave the otherwise o.k. room a shoddy appearance. Also, shower curtain rod was almost falling off at one end.
