The Star Inn

Outstanding Location, Relaxed Charm! The Star Inn sits across from Congress Hall on Perry Street and is part of the Cape Resorts family. It's a sprawling, beach-house-style inn located just half a block from the beach, and it operates as a younger, more laid-back sibling to Congress Hall, offering integrated services and amenities. We stayed in room #8 on the third floor. It was a clean, well-kept room with a queen bed that felt larger than expected, along with a dresser and closet. Our bathroom was across a hall near an emergency exit, but that area is alarmed and off limits to keep things secure, and our room door leading to it locked as well. We really liked the setup. Worth noting: the third floor is accessible by stairs only. It's not an excessive climb, but anyone with mobility concerns or health issues should ask about accessibility before booking. Check-in was simple and pleasant. Cassandra, who runs the check-in desk and the small coffee and baking shop, was excellent. She was there throughout the day with a warm greeting and always asked how our stay was going. One of the best perks of staying at The Star Inn is full access to the Congress Hall pool and amenities, just a quick walk across the street (honestly, sometimes faster than walking there from within Congress Hall itself). The location overall is outstanding. The beach is about 460 feet away, Washington Street is a short walk in the other direction, and there are excellent restaurants within a quarter mile.

We had the BEST room! On the third floor (perfect if you don't mind stairs) in the main building. (I think it was room 6?). It was beautiful with a view of the water, super big, beautiful! The people at the desk were so nice! And I didn't realize until we checked in that we could use all of the amenities at the Congress Hotel across the street.

Came down for a weekend (Saturday-Monday) for our honeymoon. Staff was amazingly helpful when I called to have to have some amenities waiting for us in our hotel room. Staff communicated by call, text, and email! Made it a very easy process. Late check in Saturday was easy and the whole experience was awesome. Also, the little cafe has some great coffee and cappuccino :)
