Residence Inn by Marriott Deptford

Staff were friendly but housekeeping was not available even though I requested. Hole in one of the bedroom doors and a ripped couch cushion when we arrived. No pool, bfast was bland and no waffles.Made it less comfy and a bit stressful. Left a day early.

The wash room only had 1 working washer we had to go to a laundromat. Which was an inconvenience to us. We have stayed at this property every year for 7 years. And have been pleased until this year.

This hotel 's location is ideal; it's located where several highways converge. However this makes for sleepless nights because of the traffic noise. With the location advantage you have the traffic noise! The breakfast buffet served something different each day; sometimes a quiche; bacon; or frittata. Fresh fruit, cereals, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, yogurt, coffee & juices along with make your own pancakes available at each breakfast. Unit 203 had a peculiar odor; we opened the windows each morning after turning off the a/c (2nd floor of building). When Susan asked us about our stay, I informed her how dirty our unit was. It needed a good spring cleaning! The housekeeping supervisor took care of most of our concerns immediately after speaking to Susan who is the general manager. Two concerns not addressed were; no stopper in the bathroom sink & no stopper in the tub. The bathroom sink had a toothpaste cap lodged in the drain from a prior customer. This wasn't really what we wanted to see while washing our faces or brushing our teeth. I thought the housekeeping supervisor would notify maintenance of this unit's lack of stoppers. She may have but they never showed their faces. Another issue, which is a fire safety concern, is that the fire doors on all the floors we saw were propped open all the time. This happened although there was signage beside each door which clearly said "these doors to remain closed".

The entrance was narrow and not well lit. The parking spaces were narrow.

Was not clean. Checking in was difficult. No rooms ready at 3:00??? Hallways dirty. Had false fire alarm (a kid pulled it) and we had to exit hotel. No compensation for inconvenience.

Loved it great fitness room the breakfast was great also you guys hit it out of the park if I come back to Philly I will definitely stay in that hotel again. People are kind of nice loved it. Thank you for everything.

Most unfriendly kid hotel ive ever stayed at. Our 12 year old child was told that andy child needs to have parents with him while walking in the hotel. So anytime they beeded to go from the lobby to the room/bathroom etc a parent needed to take him. It was the most ridiculous thing Also there is an outdoor bb court but dont dare use it. Our children were playing outside at 930 at night. A normal game. And we were approached by the manager that we need to keep quiet. We were outside!!! The children were not made to feel welcome. Any wrong sneeze or cough and manangment was staring us down. I will never stay at another resident inn.

One bedroom/bathroom smelled like urine One bathroom floor had dog hair on it and dog food crumbs hear the bed. If it wasn’t late and we weren’t traveling with my small child I would have gotten another room

This hotel was fine for an overnight stay. The property had a smell to it as well as the interior of the room with some stains on the carpet and curtains. Overall, it could use an update and deep clean as it is a pet friendly hotel. Staff was very friendly upon check in.

The front desk staff were super friendly and every employee we passed in the halls greeted us warmly. The lobby of the hotel is lovely and it appears they’re making an effort to improve. Our room was a king studio suite which we chose over other hotels for the kitchen feature. The kitchen was extremely clean and refrigerator/freezer, table, chairs etc. perfect for our needs. The bed and linens were also clean. The major problems were the smell of the hotel and room once you left the main lobby - the whole place basically smells musty and although we had a non-smoking room, you could tell people had definitely been smoking in there. It is also a pet friendly hotel which I hadn’t realized before, so I did see cats in windows when we pulled up and as someone with allergies I wish this had been made very clear before booking. I mentioned this at the front desk and the nice woman gave us a room on the 3rd floor noting that it’s less used for people with pets, which was somewhat accommodating and helpful. Though I did see a cat on the third floor so it does happen. The carpets around the hotel and in the room are pretty gross so I recommend slippers for walking around your room. The bathroom itself is pretty nice and modern but there was hair in the shower and behind the toilet. There is as others have mentioned some mold in the showers. Immediate area a little sketchy, loud highway, but tons of food and shopping. Not Marriott quality but will do, ask for 3rd floor.

The room smells like cigarettes and dog. It is making it hard for me to breathe in the room. The most uncomfortable experience I have had at a Marriott owned property.

I do like the staff . Lady at front desk very sweet . But we are using the sofa bed and is terrible . Can feel the springs of the mattress and it’s rusty .

I have stayed here multiple times before and the property has gone steadily downhill. I am a Marriott Gold Status member so know what to expect from their properties. I reserved 2 x 1 bedroom suites with queen sofa beds. The first room we were given - 108 - smelled very bad and the pull out couch looked like was 30 years old and falling apart. There were terrible stains all over the cushions. When we pulled out the bed, it got much worse. The mattress also looked like it was 30 years old and terribly stained. I wouldn't let my worst enemy sleep on it. We asked to be moved to a different room - the staff was helpful and the mattress in the 2nd room was much better. However, the bathroom was moldy and in terrible shape. There was also no shower gel in the dispenser. I would not recommend this property.

No air conditioning. I was with a bridal party, so embarrassing. Our hair and makeup was sweating off before we even left for the wedding. We were told we were being refunded and never was. This room was overpriced to begin with but having to get your hair done with hot tools when the thermostat says it’s 80 degrees in the room was just awful and the bride was so upset.

The first night of our stay wasn't a pleasant one. The room we were assigned to had a strong smell of pet urine and the family above us let there children run and stomp until approximately 11:00 pm. The front desk said they would call the room and let the family know quiet time was over. The manager allowed us to switch to another room which had a fresh clean smell and no running of children above us. For me, the lighting is a little dark in the room. I didn't like the shower/toilet combination in the bathroom. The drain in the middle of the floor had an awful order; noticeable when you sat on the toilet. The room was equipped well. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The staff went over and above to make your stay pleasant!! The breakfast was pretty good with a different protein each day. The only issue I had, is the food wasn't as hot as I thought it should have been. Overall stay wasn't bad.

Because of a delay in my housing set up, I needed a couple of days and selected the Residence inn for my needs. Turns out, I should have considered making it my temporary housing instead. The studio suite with King size bed was everything I needed and more. The bathroom was spacious the living room area felt like I could have truly spent my time there, and the kitchen was perfect.

We really liked the room and it was very comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly. The only thing we had a problem with is there was a smell of smoke in our bathroom but it would go away and then come back. So it seems like somebody was smoking somewhere else in the hotel, and it came thru the vents? We recommend this hotel and will definitely return when needing a hotel in the area.

Had a great one night stay to see a concert at Lincoln Financial Field. It was convenient and a great place to stay; good location -near shopping and the highway. Quiet, well equipped room.

The breakfast was great, many options to choose from. They treated myself and my dog with caring and respect when I was going through a rough experience. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

Best stay we have had in a while. Me and my family had a great stay. Ava was so accommodating and she stood out to me and my family for all the help ahe gave us. Shopping in thos area is great and convenient as all major stores were in cloae proximity. Overall a great experience and stay.
