The property is very unique and authentic New Mexican and the staff is very friendly and accommodating however the pool is shared with the neighboring hotel and isn’t kept very clean also during our whole stay of 3 days only one elevator was working with a lot of hotel guests so long waits for the elevators.

Location is great for walking to Old Town and most places take 10-15 minutes to drive to. Pool is wonderful and the grounds are lovely. This is an old hotel so the walls and floors are thin. I could hear the toilet flushing next door and above me. My room was missing closet doors (not that it mattered) - was just curious why and was told by staff they removed them from some rooms. Weird. Also had to call to get my room cleaned because they skipped my room for two days. Was told by staff they only clean every other day. I just assumed that since I booked on Expedia to get a cheaper rate, they gave me a room with a terrible view, no closet doors, and no cleaning service. lol.

Beautiful, rustic and bohemian style! I was only there for one night but will be my destination for future visits. The pool and hot tub were amazing and of great size; they are both privately located.

The elevator was out of service. We were on the 7th floor. It took the maintenance staff 24 hours to fix the problem. My daughter missed her flight back to Dallas, Texas. We had to use the stairs with all our luggage. I feel we should be compensated for this terrible inconvenience!

Our family of four stayed in the room with two double beds for two nights. The room had a one cup keurig machine, a smaller than usual fridge, and no microwave. The double beds were very firm. All linens were clean and crisp. There are hard floors in the rooms which lends to the cleanliness. Our room was on the north side and had a beautiful view of the mountains and Westside so we got to watch sunrise and sunset. Hot air balloons were up and a couple sailed by the hotel. This would be a great place to stay during the Balloon Fiesta. The rooms on the south side of the building have balconies. We enjoyed the clean spaces and conveniences like cold bottled water at the pool. Sawmill Market is across the street as has tons of options for food and drinks. One elevator was inoperable and the other holds only nine people snugly. During our stay, the second elevator stopped working and we had to walk up to our 8th floor room. It was repaired but with two large weddings and other guests, I used the stairs a few times. The pool is shared with the adjacent hotel. It is 5ft at the deepest so it’s great for families. There are many shaded places with chairs and loungers. There is poolside service for food and drinks and plenty of towels. There are bathrooms in the pool area. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Parking is easy with lots all around the building.

Very nice hotel. Keep in mind it can get very busy as it is a conference hotel and wedding venue. The pool was nice, but super crowded, so we opted out of using it. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Old town is walk-able from the hotel. Easy to park

Also, during 3 night stay, no housekeeping service. Hallway carpet dirty.

The hotel was clean and the grounds were nice. The pool is a bit hidden but a nice space to relax. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms feel a bit on the old side and a little small. Overall it was a great experience and the convenience of walking to Old Town in 10 minutes was nice. My only nit was the hidden “amenities” charge when checking out. I was told it was for the Keurig coffee and small water bottles in the room. In every other hotel I’ve stayed at that’s complimentary.

Coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Great location on historic Route 66 and in Old Town which is very cool. Lots of small shops and restaurants within couple minute walk. Great view from our balcony!!

Overall, a great location with a great view and near to Old Town. The hotel has a restaurant and bar which was ideal for me. The only things I would say to improve are some things in the room did not work well. The A/C buttons did not work, meaning I could not make the room hotter, colder, could not adjust temp, etc. The buttons were just like pressing nothing. For a $200 per nite hotel, this is not acceptable in August! I reached out to the front desk but it was hours before they got back to me and by then I was ready for bed. The shower the next morning also took 10 minutes on FULL HOT to even *begin* to be lukewarm and that is stretching it. It was barely tepid and I froze taking a shower. Again, for such a pricey hotel, not a good feature. BUT the views, restaurant, location, etc. make this hotel a great spot and I would stay again, but fix your basic shower/electrical appliances please? And be in touch sooner than 3 hours after someone reaches out?

This is an older property, but well kept on the outside and the surrounding grounds are also manicured. The garden patio could make for a great breakfast area if exploited for that use. One elevator to the tower is very slow to open. Almost like watching paint dry. The rooms are adequately sized. Bathrooms have been renovated. The beds are platform framed. This is low to the ground and lack a boxspring. The sides stick out and you can bang the side of your foot or your leg getting in and out. Mattresses also seemed well used. I like this hotel because it has character and many pictures of Albuquerque in its western days. It kind of reminds me of the Orleans in Vegas, an older property with good bones. A quick breakfast bar with simple egg sandwiches and coffee in the morning would also be a convenience. Onsite valet parking is a plus. And friendly staff. A few changes as mentioned would make it a better stay. Proximity to old town and Sawmill market make it a good walking area. I would stay again.

The hotel is in a great location. Old Town is very cool with lots of small shops and restaurants. Just a short walk from the hotel. Our family of four stayed in the room with two double beds for two nights. The room had a one cup keurig machine, a smaller than usual fridge, and no microwave. The double beds were very firm. All linens were clean and crisp. There are hard floors in the rooms which lends to the cleanliness. Our room was on the north side and had a beautiful view of the mountains and Westside so we got to watch sunrise and sunset. Hot air balloons were up and a couple sailed by the hotel. This would be a great place to stay during the Balloon Fiesta. The rooms on the south side of the building have balconies. We enjoyed the clean spaces and conveniences like cold bottled water at the pool. Sawmill Market is across the street as has tons of options for food and drinks. One elevator was inoperable and the other holds only nine people snugly. During our stay, the second elevator stopped working and we had to walk up to our 8th floor room. It was repaired but with two large weddings and other guests, I used the stairs a few times. The pool is shared with the adjacent hotel. It is 5ft at the deepest so it’s great for families. There are many shaded places with chairs and loungers. There is poolside service for food and drinks and plenty of towels. There are bathrooms in the pool area. All of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Parking is easy with lots all around the building.

The front desk has some of the best service I’ve experienced in a hotel. They were able to check us in earlier than the expected time, they are always quick to respond and very friendly. They made our stay very pleasant.

First it was the worst Mexican food, fish was not fresh and our meal was aweful. Then we got not our room and the fire alarm went off , no instructions as to what to do, called the front desk, no answer , walked downstairs, we were on the 8 th floor, still no communication, found someone who said the fire was in the kitchen all was handled , waiting on fire department who showed up after 30 minutes, fire alarm was going off til midnight , 3 hours of fire alarms so un acceptable when we were told we could return to our room but we had to walk up 8 floors. The whole situation was handled poorly with no communication. I’m requesting a full refund for my stay.

Enjoyed the proximity to Old Town so we could explore the historic area. There were some great restaurants and shops within a few blocks. The hotel’s proximity to the highway was convenient when we wanted to visit other places in the Albuquerque area. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Very nice property. Nice and quiet. I liked the wood/laminate floor in the rooms instead of carpet. We did walk to Old Town, which was right nearby, but that area didn’t seem super safe. The hotel parking lot did seem very safe as there was a bellhop right outside.

Coolest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Great location on historic Route 66 and in Old Town which is very cool. Lots of small shops and restaurants within couple minute walk. Great view from our balcony!!

I love staying at Hotel Albuquerque. The building itself is special, the staff friendly and attentive. The gift shop offers a wide variety of regional items to buy at reasonable prices. The nearby Sawmill Market offers a fun place to eat and drink. Old Town is a walkable distance and a must. The highway is nearby but far enough to not be heard.

This is the second time we visited Albuquerque and the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It's a lovely hotel. The staff (both front desk and room service) was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was comfortable offering amazing views of the city. It's also super convenient to Old Town and the Museums. The room service meal was also super tasty. It's just a top notch property.

I really loved the southwestern vibe of thos hotel! Its restaurant had live music and AMAZING food! They have a gift shop as well that looked fun! There's so much to do and see around the area...room was clean and nice 10/10, highly recommend!

Loved the property and traditional looks and feel of the property. Did not have great experience with the staff of the restaurant in the hotel. Several were rude and service was SLOW. Don't get the breakfast burrito either. LOVED being so close to the Sawmill Market.

The hotel had trollies to assist with moving items into the hotel. The handicap door assist did not work but that would be helpful. I stayed on the 3rd floor near the roof with a balcony. I had a courtyard view and mountain view. The fridge was too small for my needs as I had groceries to keep but they assisted with a dorm fridge. The bed was lovely, comfy. I would have preferred a deep tub over the shower. Waking up to the sunrise and windows was great. Good coffee in room. The pool was lovely. The hot tub was warm but crowded. I would like a more spacious hot tub at hotels for adults. The pool was a little cold. The view from 5L was beautiful. I wish I had got brunch there. The mountains were so pretty. One of the top views in the city. The grounds were great. I loved the water features. I loved the covered trellis, terrace, pergola, brick. The lobby was well decorated. The hotel is in a good location. I felt safe on the property. I stayed 2 nights. I would return. I would visit another heritage hotel. The chain hotels are bland, unkept, and disappointing in comparison. This hotel had character and southwest charm. When you visit NM you want to feel like you are in NM not any hotel in the country. The clientele was nice. The staff was helpful. The only thing is in winter I would want an indoor hot tub and heated pool. I would also add more southwest plants, grasses, and flowers. It is a real challenge to grow plants in the unforgiving scorching heat though.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town. The hotel has a beautiful New Mexico character that feels authentic rather than overly touristy, and the location couldn’t be better for exploring Old Town and the surrounding area. Our room was comfortable and quiet, the property was exceptionally well maintained, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the courtyard and the relaxed Southwestern atmosphere throughout the hotel. What really stood out was how the hotel manages to feel upscale without feeling stuffy.
