The property was under renovation and was priced as if it wasn't while there was no notice while booking. The TV would turn itself back on after being turned off. I had a cockroach in my room. The internet did not connect. I was given a voucher for food, that I was initially told was good for only food, but when I went to breakfast I was told it was only good for dinner.

Property was under construction. A huge portion of the lobby was unavailable. Was not aware of this. The construction made the hallways dirty. Room were clean and quite nice.

The construction started early in the mornings and the drilling noise were extremely loud. The construction crews using the one functioning elevator, so we had to wait and or take the staircase down. The pool was unavailable due to the construction. The starbucks wasn't open despite being told that they would be. Overall not a good experience. Plus they charge for parking, $10/ day.

Star bucks was not available(advertising signage was still up) ice machine broke in our wing. Main fountain wasnt in operation. Faucet in our room sprayed all over. Pool area was a big let down! Only 2 chairs in inside area. Parking fee each night when rates are already expensive enough!!!

they are doing extensive renovations. Makes the location very dusty. Pool is not open. None of this was known when making reservations. when checking in there was no one at front desk. after 10 min of waiting and was able to find a staff member to locate desk manager. The desk manager seemed annoyed that she had to come to the front desk. desk manager mis pronounced my name and I gently corrected. She then proceeded to mispronounce several more times. Seemingly going out of her way to say my name more than necessary just so that she could continue to mispronounce. The room AC were preset to 65 degrees and and the highest fan setting. If you adjusted the setting they reverted back to the presets 30 min later. Called front desk for instructions on how to override the presets. Was told there was no way to do that. As a result, room was freezing and super loud. When checking out the printers were not working. I wanted to confirm all the charges before leaving, was told they could not do that. I think they are in the process of updating which is understandable. I would avoid until renovations are completed

Windows wrapped in plastic, unknown construction communication, no lobby area (all under construction). Expedia did not communicate this!

Only two elevators for a large property and one was broken. Very inconvenient. Also the pool was not available.

Ridiculous that they charge $10/night for parking. Staff upon check in was less than favorable because we booked with Expedia. Other staff was friendly though. Pool was dinky.

We didn't appreciate the additional charges at the time of check-out that should have been included with the booking. Overpriced breakfast buffet with basic foods. There is not a single vending machine in the building, just concierge service at the front desk, which we were told they didn't carry any sort of snacks even though the website states they do. You have to pay for parking & basic internet. The only positive experience we had was that it was clean and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was excellent, the rooms were clean, the green chili stew was awesome!! The only disappointing thing was the the water fall was not operating. I had stayed there back in the late 80’s and remember the fall. All in all an excellent stay. Thank you

We were switched 3 times. First room old dirty stains on carpet Second room dirty trash on floor. Hair in sink. Bed not made. Third room water didn’t drain in shower. Vent at entrance of the room on the ceiling leaking water fall hazard and had to put a towel on the floor

I wasn't very happy with this property. The beds were uncomfortable, the decor was dated, there was mold in the shower, there was no soap for the sink and there was no shower gel the entire stay.

The room was clean and impressive. The disappointment is not being able to print or send the receipt via email. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Other than the technical difficulties, I would highly recommend this place.

Rooms are extremely outdated, we found a big hairball in the bathroom, and had to kill for Giant in moths in the room.

I appreciate the cleanliness

The property is being remodeled in stages. The common areas have received updates but the rooms are badly in need. Several signs around the property indicate this is starting in November 2024. Housekeeping was done daily however there were things that were clearly never done such as an extremely dirty/dusty return air vent IN the shower.

The rooms were really old and in poor condition. Front desk staff was far from friendly. Our room could have used a better cleaning. Design of hotel is cool. Had to walk through multiple smokers to get into the hotel.

I really liked this hotel but the walls were very thin and I could hear every movement in the room next to me. Not to mention this weird sound coming from inside the wall (like banging pipes?) that kept me up all night. And last- our toilet would make the weirdest gurgling sounds when no one had used it. Aside from those things- staff was incredibly kind, the hotel is clean, and has an abundance of amenities.

We didn't get the room we Booked, TV didn't work, pool was closed. the beds were so small and uncomfortable my wife and i couldn't even sleep together. spent 200$ for no sleep and tiny bed

Though the ongoing renovations were obvious, the area was nice, quiet, and clean. Staff member was a pleasure to talk with, kind, and professional. However, the renovated room we checked into had a broken tv (unwatchable) and shower pressure and temperature was poor.

Incredible stay even though the hotel is under renovation. Breakfast was delicious with great service. Everyone we met was so nice and helpful. On our way to the lobby to check out, we ended up in a service elevator and on the wrong floor with our luggage cart. A very nice gentleman, one of the workers, took the time to escort us to the correct elevator and to the lobby. Room was new and beautiful. Great view out the 6th floor window. The only issue I would mention is each TV program we tried to watch the program buffered.

The stay was not what i expected. Renovation and rude workers and loud noises. My heater was not working

Rooms are dated by far. AC didn't work well, they sent maintenance to look at it but issue was never resolved. Tv remote didn't work sheets were stained. Despite the room issues the overall property was nice.

Room needs up dating, Television didn't work in first room, had to change rooms at 10:30 p.m. Room temperature was very warm, couldn't adjust temperature. We were not satisfied with the Marriot. Not up to Marriot Standards.

The connecting rooms were noisy and room by highway. Other roo was great.

After the 30 minutes to check in, most things went well. The hotel is going to begin renovations soon and it definitely needs it. It’s very dated, but still comfortable and nice.

Isaac Trujillo welcomed us and took the time to answer questions about the balloon festival. His advice worked out perfectly! Thank you! The renovations are beautiful and the rooms were so comfortable. The lobby, restaurant and bar all look nice too. We will definitely stay there again.

We checked in & had bad service from the start. When we booked our room in this site there was nothing in the info about $10 a day parking fee. There was a big sign at the front desk and we asked about it right away. We explained that the booking app didn’t saying anything about a parking fee. A male employee who was behind the desk quickly and rudely raised his voice and said well it’s right there in front of you now. We showed the employees the app and the girl who was checking us in said we could speak to the manager about it but she said the manager wasn’t available at the time so we gave our number to her to have the manager call us when she was available. Hours went by and we never received a call. Late that evening we were passing by the front desk and asked if the manager was available yet. One of the ladies there said she was the manager so we explained our issue with her. She immediately got defensive and said that’s what they do now and if we didn’t like it she would be happy to let us check out the next day without the cancellation fee. She also said they charge the $10 a night per room because they hired a 3rd party security company to patrol their parking lot. Which we didn’t see once our whole 3 day stay. We ended up staying but we will definitely not be booking with them again. Not only terrible service and rudeness anywhere we went in the hotel but the rooms are super old, dirty (the air filters in the vents were disgusting) and stuck in the 70’s.

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this hotel before our stay even began. We had booked a room for our daughter’s State HOSA competition, which was scheduled for the weekend. Upon arrival in town—several hours ahead of check-in—we stopped by the hotel to ask about the possibility of checking in early. Despite being physically present and speaking with staff, we were not informed of any issues with room availability at that time. Later, just before check-in, we received a call stating that our reservation had to be canceled due to ongoing construction and a lack of available rooms. It was incredibly frustrating to learn this after we had already waited for hours and had been at the hotel earlier without any mention of this issue. What’s even more concerning is the lack of transparency and professionalism throughout the process. If the hotel was aware of overbooking or construction-related limitations, that information should have been communicated upfront—especially when we inquired directly. Additionally, although payment is taken immediately upon booking, the refund process is unnecessarily complicated and inconvenient for the guest, especially when the cancellation was entirely due to the hotel’s oversight. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on this experience.

Did not accept hotels.com reservation so they charged me for a room. Thank god hotels.com is super understanding and immediately refunded me. Check in staff were kind of rude. Only had one cash terminal for two lines, so we had to wait for another group to finish checking in so we could be charged. Room was uncomfortable and had no hot water. Will not be staying here again. So shocked and disappointed for a Marriot

The service at the front desk was just rude from the start. They didn’t take kindly to third party bookings. I asked for a blanket to be delivered twice and it just never came. The hotel itself was just loud making it difficult to sleep. I’ve stayed at Marriott a lot all over the country and this location was the most disappointing by far.

We will not be staying here again, which is sad because we usually have a good experience when we visit. This time was highly inconvenient. After a long day of traveling, we finally made it to the hotel. We got checked in and were given keys. Us with toddler in tow we’re ready to unwind however when we got up to the room, the key cards wouldn’t work. We go back down wait in the long check in line, again, we’re escorted TPT he room again with new keys. Still not working, (restaurant closing in a hour) we’re told they would have the battery on the door changed out within 5minutes. Did occur, yet cards still did not work. Again had to stay in the room or wait in line to be escorted again. So we waited and then had to go back to the desk ask what to do now?! Can we get a new room? “Let me get this phone call then we can figure this out” husband waits, ended up returning to then wait again. I go downstairs again (only 1 elevator working on our side) Was told to go to restaurant because kitchen closes in 10minutes!! So toddler and I do that, husband came down with all our stuff, again. We did move rooms into an upgraded suite, however we lost the 2 beds and went to just 1 and what do we need a suite for at 1030-11pm? Then sink had a leak under it, tub had hair along the sides of it. Will not recommend or be back!

The Manager on duty was outstanding. Isaac went above and beyond to make our stay nice.

Close to shopping stores than driving for a while.

I always use this hotel when I need to be on the north end of ABQ during my doctor and lab visits to the city. It is in the perfect location off I-25 and near Paseo del Norte and Jefferson Boulevard. The staff are really great, from the front desk to the dining service. The menu is compatible with my diet. I can always find something reasonably healthy to eat.

Hotel is located north of Albuquerque. Not very close to old town or downtown but it was perfect for those who wants to be close to balloon fiesta park.From the room we have, we could even watch the balloons rising. Open buffet breakfast was rich and reasonably priced ($19.95 tax per person). On the other hand, we are charged $10/night for parking. It was quite surprising to get charged for parking in a open space lot. Overall recommend to everyone...

Room was clean and nice. The carpet was ripped in a few places. Pool was clean and plenty of towels both days which was nice. The only disappointment was the breakfast buffet. The waffles were extremely hard and the biscuits were soggy. Then we got the bill, $20 a person for a breakfast buffet that was limited! You should get some kind of discount if you are a guest because we could have went 5 minutes down the road to Golden Corral for less than that and 4x the choices. Hotel was great, restaurant not so much.

I like the location of the property. The rooms are old and dated and noisy. The food buffet is absolutely disgusting and cold as soon as it’s put on a plate. The oatmeal is very good however. I will most likely avoid this property.

The hotel will be undergoing renovation in the Fall of 2024 and it sure needs it. Just old and tired, but the room was large and comfortable and the bar/restaurant adequate. My martini was $20 and small so I limited myself to only one. The enchiladas were OK but not traditional and very salty.

Ordered food at the bar... It was terrible... Met two other hotel guests' during our stay and they also mentioned how bad the food was..

Location was convenient to the Balloon Fiesta and for extra money we chose to ride the chartered bus directly from the hotel to the Fiesta. The only drawback to that is that it operates on a fixed time schedule 6am pickup and 9:30 am return. The other park n ride services offer multiple busses. The Pyramid has a menu restaurant, but don't count on it for decent food. They offer a nice looking breakfast buffet, but it's not tasty either. Dry, bland, and cold coffee. Some of their younger servers are not really there to work, others are. There's plenty of Albuquerque restaurants ~ try theminstead! Enjoy all Albuequerque has to offer 'away' from the hotel. The hotel is just for rest.

Finishes in room were great. Bed was comfortable, staff was overall friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great, service was excellent and food was also very good. There were a few things that we discovered which were a result of the recent remodel and we will share with management. The only big issue we had is that I requested a top floor room a year ago and did not receive the room I requested. Overall good stay.
