La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Las Cruces Organ Mountain

Front desk check in was excellent and friendly. Bathroom is clean bedding is comfortable. Pool unheated and not opened until 10 am. The usual La Quinta amenities are in the room, but this hotel needs an update as furniture and rugs are worn. There’s no exercise room. No USB ports.

Always a great stay at this hotel..! Beds are superb, pillows are fluffy and firm and the pet area outside is the best…!

The highlights..... Check-in was a breeze. Staff was very friendly and informative. Main lobby was very clean and appeared well maintained. The elevator interior needs some TLC though. You could easily notice the age of the floor and lower portion of the walls. I can not imagine the amount of foot traffic elevators see on a daily basis. Mechanically it worked smoothly. In fact i believe this elevator rode smoother than the last 4 elevators I have been in. The room was clean. All the amenities were working and appeared well maintained. Plenty of clean towels and linens. A comfortable bed with fluffy pillows. Clean tub for the wife with a working shower for me. The shower head did need some CLR, there was hard water build-up on it's face. The pool was clean, the water was clear. Two mornings in a row i watched the maintenance man remove leaves, check the pH balance, and make sure the pump was running to keep the water circulating. Personally I found the water to be a little cold, maybe it was my blood thinners. The Continental Breakfast was simple. The usual items: cold cereal, pancakes/waffles, muffins, toast, hard boiled eggs, yogurts, fruit, juice and coffee. The seating area was clean and the chairs were comfortable. Cracker Barrel restaurant and Wal-Mart within walking distance. Golden Corral just a few minutes away by car. Plus much more in the area. This is not a 4 star but it is much better than many 3 star hotels i have been in.

The staff was amazing. Pool was a little cloudy, beds were very hard and extremely uncomfortable.

I look for great rates and favorable personal ratings, so I got what I paid for. Clean comfortabe room, quiet and a decent breakfast. The outdoor pool was a little too chilly, so I chose to sit and read. All but one of the lounge chairs was missing essential strapping, rendering them useless.

The hotel is worn and old ... needs a complete refurbishment. I ran the shower for 15 minutes and the water was tepid at best. The carpets in the room and hallways looked grungy. The walls need paint. The room smelled musty.

The hotel needs more maintenance and cleaning,in the rooms there is a lot of dust, the sink was clogged,the carpets very dirty.

The staff upon arriving did their job. Basically, the cleaning staff didn't seem trained to give attention to details. For example, the furniture in our room had not been dusted in a while. There was a spill in the elevator that was not attended to within 24 hours. Carpets could use a deep cleaning or replacement.

While playing with my kids I found a half eaten hard beagle under the furniture and the tub looked like it could use a good scrub.

The rooms were dirty. I even found blood on my sheets. not maintained.

It was quiet and the bed was comfortable but ALL of the carpets were worn out and FILTHY, even in the room.

We usually stay here it’s our go to for over nights in Las Cruces. Never had an issue and that’s why for the repeater. Just today visit was a little off. Staff was amazing and check in was a breeze. But we got to the room and it smelled horrible. It was a non smoking pet free and it smelled of smoke so bad it gave us a headache . We were going to spend most of the time out of room so we just left it as is. Over all stay was good just the smell of the room was horrible.

Very sweet people. The whole motel smelled of curry in the morning, that made me smile and there was a donut to share for us for breakfast. The wifi dropped in and out even though we re-logged as told be the manager. The train goes right by and toots very loudly. Everything is somewhat worn down, but it was a good bed.

Well this stay was not as it was the last time I stay there. This time no WiFi at all. It was down for all the time I was there. No one could fix it or give a good reason for it being down. Now as for the bed sheets. The last day I stay there we got new sheets put on the bed. But the sheets had very bad stains on them. I took photos! Totally unacceptable, after this stay there, I think I will try some place else to stay.

I liked the bed and linens very much, but the loose, old, stained carpet in the room was disconcerting. Also, the room smelled like cigarettes and shaving cream, and the hallways were always hot.

The room was very small.

The primary purpose of hotels is to provide a comfortable environment for rest and sleep, sleep being the must important of all so that you can wake up the next morning relaxed and refreshed. Unfortunately in this case I got little if any of that. The bed felt like I was being relentlessly sucked u by an enormous Black Hole. The noisy room air conditioner which had a very off putting foul smell could not be turned off, as if its sole purpose was to continuously flood the room with stale and unhealthy air. The noisy fan in the bathroom was just as bad and could not be turned off without also turning off the bathroom light from a single switch. Wouldn’t stay here if they paid me. Enough said. Don’t even think I of staying here unless you like trying to sleep in a spinning black hole.

The first room I was assigned was not occupied, but it wasn't clean - the beds weren't made, which was very disconcerning. Thankfully it was a quick fix at the front desk (which the dude in charge did not take the call, annoyingly, but ok, it was close to 11 pm and was by himself), but ended up being ok at the end, as I got assigned another room. Still, no apology, so meh.

Staff was very kind and professional.

The early morning clerk is outstanding! He is always courteous and does and excellent job of setting up the breakfast! He is a valued employee for the hotel!

This hotel does not deserve 8.6 stars, which is what was advertised. I would NOT recommend and will not be staying at a La Quinta again. It was very old and rundown, completely unwelcoming. There were hairs on the bedsheets; they offered us another room, which was worse with stained mattresses. After a long day of travel, we justified that it was fine for just sleeping the night. The next morning, breakfast was terrible and a homeless person came in and grabbed breakfast and walked back out without any acknowledgement or care from the staff. The elevator smelled heavily of marijuana. We complained to staff and she was horrible, the worst customer service I have experienced at a hotel. Told us if we didn't like it, we could leave, no compensation offered; She said if we did not like it, we should not have stayed. Do not trust the 8.6 review. It was a terrible experience.

Quiet Transportation Walkable Convenient Easy Parking

It's in a great location, just off the I-10 freeway and close to walmart and great eateries. don't confuse this with the other La Quinta across Avenida de Mesilla rd. make sure it's the one by Wyndham

It's located right off I-10, has a cracker barrel in the back lot, a Walmart next-door, and gas stations across the street.

Near freeway. Lots of restaurant. Homeless people on property.

Never even stayed here. As I was pulling up, there as a homeless encampment right outside the drive way. I was traveling for work and had tools in my truck. I turned around and found another hotel just down the street.

Walmart and restaurants were nearby. It was convenient for me.

New gas station going in next door- almost done, but disrupted traffic flow and entrance to hotel. We had a trailer and had to turn around in shopping center lot inorder to enter hotal parking. Staff was very friendly Room clean and comfortable

I was alarmed by all the warning signs, warning people to lock their cars, remove everything from their cars, and hide whatever was still in the car. I had no incidents but, as a lone traveler, I was concerned.

Breakfast was just ok. Nothing spectacular about this place other than possibly the price.

Did the job. Nothing fancy. Definitely older hotel in need of updating. Breakfast was waffles and cereal, no protein of any kind.

Overall, it was an easy stay at a great price, but for breakfast they completely ran out of waffle mix and other food, and it wasn’t even at the end of the service.

Property is in need of updates and general maintenance. The breakfast selections are limited.

Convenient location. Room was clean and very comfortable. Staff were excellent. Breakfast options were not very good. Choices were waffles, cereal, hard boil eggs, yogurt, coffee, and juice. Would have preferred scrambled eggs, bacon and or gravy and biscuits.

Decent enough for the price. Somewhat worn common areas, but the room was in good shape and clean. Breakfast was adequate. Typical collection of continental breakfast items.
