Parking lot is horrible, room was ok Tv was old

I was hauling a horse to Nevada so I had a horse trailer on the back of my truck. The facilities have good parking for trucks & rigs. Casino next to facility has good service for food and is clean. This Motel 8 is "old" but they seem to be trying to improve it. Bed was comfortable but pillows were SMALL like toss pillows. Lock on door was not working, which I told them about. Overall it was average for a lower end room.

Room was clean; pool was indoor but not heated. Very disappointed in cold temperature of water.

Room smells like cigarettes, floor very sticky, everything is either faded or yellow. The pool is under construction.

Room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner was noisy. Parking lot and driveway in serious need of repair. Staff was great!

Bed bugs. Shower didnt work and leaked inside wall and on floor. Door lock did not work 2 times and difficult to work. Parking was poor surface with big potholes (2\'x2\'x6"). Many concerning occupants with one caught headed for back of my SUV when i was loading with open door. Desk person was very nice and helpful.

Don’t stay here! It has a pool but it’s closed! The breakfast was too scary to eat. The room was horrible. No switch plate on electrical outlet. The bathroom was so dirty. I had to have a shower and the water was either hot or cold depending on what I assumed another room was using. Looks like they are painting the rooms with spilled paint everywhere! Plus someone sideswiped our motorcycle it’s a trike in the parking lot!!!! And this place was sold out?? I need my money back!

The hotel is rundown and not very clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. Even though it's next to a casino it was quiet. All the furniture is old and scratched and stained. The upholstered chair was dirty and stained. Linen was worn and dingy. Pillows were lumpy. Bed was comfortable. The floor was not swept/vacuumed or mopped. Tub was stained and chipped. Hot water was inconsistent. Large vanity was not clean. Refrigerator and microwave were clean and worked very well. Walls had holes poorly patched WiFi was good. Large spacious room. Lighting was okay. Heater worked very well but a little noisy. Outside area old and rundown but clean. Breakfast is very limited. Pool was closed. It felt safe. The biggest reason I stayed was location. It's close to everything and close to friends I was visiting. They really need better housekeeping and maintenance.

We drove from Boise to Fernley on our way to San Francisco. Arrived at Super 8 at 1 am and checked in. Our room was filthy. It had not been cleaned from the previous occupants. Only the fitted sheet was on the bed and pillow cases with mascara stains. it was covered with grit and pubic hairs, the top sheet and blanket were folded at the bottom of the bed and appeared to have dirt and debris from the floor on them. The toilet had not been flushed and had pee in it. There was pee on the wall near the toilet, there was a used razor and a large bottle of personal shampoo in the shower. There were no clean towels. A young man from the front desk brought up sheets and pillow cases to change the bedding. He took one of the pillows, removed the pillow case, and then put the pillow on the top sheet right in the grit and pubic hair while he turned to get a clean pillow case from the desk. It was horrendously disgusting. We asked for a refund and left immediately. I took photos!

The room was dirty, food wrappers and other trash under the bed from previous guests, tv remote did not work, only 2 thin towels for 3 guests, but didn’t matter, as there was no shower curtain anyway, so no one showered. One bed was “ok”, the other had huge dip in the center. Not comfortable, not clean.

Bed sheets were so old they were gray. Dog paw print stains on the sheets. Toilet was dirty, had a dark ring around the water level.

Room was filthy- floor was caked with dirt, public hairs and God knows what maybe boogers all over inside of the in/shower? Light was cracked over sink and held together by duct tape. Vanity was disgustingly dirty. The lock did not work on the door leading outside. We used the chair to wedge under the door . We pulled in late and most hotels were full. I figured since it was a Wyndham hotel we were good- nope ! Never again !

It was dirty. Sheets looked like they had been slept in several time. Bathroom has mold around the tub and wall looked like it had poop on it. Sleeping area needs alot of help and cleaning. 30 inch TV.daylight around the door. Dust and stuff under and on things. Wont stay there again. We were in Rm 109

The sheets and towels were extremely dirty. The bathroom was extremely dirty. The outside of the hotel was extremely dirty.

The room wasn't clean, even though we saw the guy, supposedly, cleaning the room. The bathroom still had hair and tissue on the floor. The were old, gray, had stains and holes. The lady that checked us in couldn’t speak understable english. I will never stay here again. One of the worst places I've ever stayed. Belongs on a back street of a third world Country.

Room wasn’t clean. The menstrual blood on the toilet seat was absolutely disgusting. I will never stay at a Super 8 brand hotel again

Everything about the place was filthy, the property the room was completely filthy, blood stained sheets, prior guests stank ass socks under bed, at least a 1/2 inch of dust and crud under bed, I've stayed at a lot of super 8 over the years and this place was by far the worst

This was the dirtiest room. There were stains on the sheets and the bathroom looked like it had mold. I felt dirty just standing in the room. I had to leave and could not stay.

Building more run down than expected. Room door looked like it had been kicked in a few times. "Breakfast" was toast cereal or fruit.

Convenient, nice room, everything was good till the WiFi stopped working.

The mattress in my room should have been replaced a few years ago!! I needed a ladder to climb out of the rut in the mattress!!, both sides!

The Wifi did not work, even after asking for help at the front dest. The front desk referred us to the wifi company and they could not get it to work.

It was outdated. Our door didnt even shut all the way and had a huge gap in it. Not enough plugs. TV was extremely small. You get what you pay for.

No hot water when we showered. Otherwise decent for what I paid

Motel was a bit run down. It did not look as good as in the online photos. The door of my room (#201) had been previously kicked open and not repaired very well. The overall condition of the motel was poor but is was half the price of the other local motels. I guess you definitely get what you pay for. I would not recommend this as it was a bit substandard.

The bed was about 5” lower in the middle which made us both sleep on the outside edges. Needs new bed

Room got cancelled without any explanation after reservation and payment was made. Receptionist was very rude and unprofessional when I questioned why room was cancelled. She just said “it’s not my fault, you can ask management if you want, manager will be back tomorrow” not a simply apology was made. I know Super 8 is not the top of the line but getting a good customer service its the minimum you can expect. Expedia was very helpful getting me another room nearby. Very professional and polite.

I love staying at this motel when I go on vacation never had any problems in the past however this last time a staff member was being rude when I was explaining how I was being charged double on my card for the stay. However the next morning, Paula the manager was very nice,understanding, and respectfully solved the issue. Also there was some blood splatter on the bathroom door so wasn't sanitary, as well as the surrounding area was a little sketch we had transients approach us for drugs. Probably wouldn't recommend this stay again. I think it would be in the owners best interest to hiring new staff and keeping up on the traffic through the property.

Try to stay somewhere else. I’m in my 60’s and this is the first bad review I have ever given.. so know I’m not that person who complains. The front desk help was horrible I got locked out of my room at 6:00 AM and my key card wouldn’t let me enter. The front desk said, “I can’t do anything about it” I said call a lock smith call your manager. She said she couldn’t. I finely was able to get in pushing the door very hard. turns out the door jam had just been painted and in that short time going to get coffee caused it to seal shut.Talked with owner later that morning who was very kind and apologized. But over all the property was in very sad condition and very dirty. They are currently trying to upgrade with paint but the price for its current condition was not worth it. For what I received it should have been 1/2 the amount or more.

I arrived to check in and was told that they’re was no vacancy. They said that the website overbooked the hotel and that they wouldn’t be charging me and would notify Hotels.com/Expedia of their error. But I was charged for a room.

The staff at Super 8 in Fernley were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They offered extra shampoo, conditioner, and soap and told me to let them know if I needed anything. The only thing I could suggest to make it better would be to get new pillows and try to whiten the sheets a little. Overall, it was very good and I would stay there again.

It started at check in. When no one was at the front desk. I rang the bell multiple times and finally a women came up and told me to take a seat she was busy?! She did finally deem to check me in carging me an additional $50. For my 9 lb dog. I pointed out that that wasnt included in the website, it and stated it was pet friendly, nothing about charges. When i get to my room the door has obviously been kicked in at some point, the bed sags so badly and was so lumpy there was no hope for a decent night sleep. In the morning i learned there was no hot water. Dont even ask me about the breakfast! Never again!

I was traveling with two kids and three pets, while caravanning with my dad and stepmom. We decided to stop here because Super 8 has been a decent stay in the past, and their pet policy is generally good. We reserved two rooms through Expedia, on two separate transactions. When we arrived, we were told one of our reservations had been canceled, and that there was no vacancy left to correct the error. However, Expedia customer support said our reservation had NOT been canceled, and the credit card had already been charged for the stay. This will be something to hash out between Expedia and Super 8. The employee at the front desk was nice, but she said there was nothing she could do. I asked if my dad and stepmom could just stay with us in our room, and if we could have a rollaway for one of my kids. She arranged it, cheerfully. However, my dad and stepmom chose not to stay there after all, as they found other lodging for the night (which ended up being more comfortable). The pros: Room smelled fresh and clean upon arrival. Floor was laminate, so it was excellent for pets. Friendly staff Adequate beds/bedding Nearby restaurants open late and do delivery The cons: Room reservation canceled without notice Older fixtures; dingy bathtub/shower with some mold Chrome shower fixtures scummy Poor water pressure in the shower - I couldn’t rinse my hair out Shower drain is slow and backed up while I was showering Dirt and footprints in the tub that were not ours Cockroaches!

I appreciate the staff immensely. Paula runs a tight ship and keeps things running smoothly and efficiently. Thank you to all who have assisted me in any way during my stay thus far. 🙏

The staff was very courteous and very welcoming. We had tried to stay in Fernley and that was a completely different experience... A happy accident!!

6/25/2025 Worst experience ever !!! My reservation was confirmed and paid for and upon arrival to hotel, the clerk would not check me in because the front office said I had no reservation!!! I have and copied the front office my emailed showing my receipt for a “Book reservation “ and it did not help , my bank cleared my payment to Expedia. Expedia was on phone with front office for hours and we had to pay again for our reservation and we got double charge! I will be writing to BBB file a complaint on Expedia and hotel Marie Romo

Easy to find. Property is right off the freeway. You can tell the property is under some maintenance. The pool was also being renovated. The late checkout time and the casino next door was nice.

Decent place to stay with restaurant, casino, and convenience store in walking distance.

It's a newer building and close to dining ,gas stations ,freeway.

I really like this hotel, as its location is convenient and Ranch House Restaurant and Silverado Casino is right across the parking lot. Fernley is a nice town that’s easy to get into and out of.

Close to variety of restaurants. Parking convenient. Close access to freeway. Staff polite and helpful.

Quick stay. Close to Everything you need.

The building is an older building, of course, but the rooms were clean and comfortable and it was very quiet at night. It was nice place to stay and affordable!

The only thing we didn't like was that it was difficult to find.

What nice people. We booked at the last minute due to a vehicle breakdown. They were wonderful. Very clean for an older hotel. The crew were always diligent about cleaning the property. The breakfast bar could have a little more variety, but all in all not too bad. There are several restaurants and a Walmart within walking distance.

The breakfast was very poor. They had jars of jelly & opened container of margarine to use just on white bread.Should have been individual containers. No bagels or muffins or something like that. Poor selection of fruit-- just very poor breakfast.

Property is old and in disrepair. Door had a 1/2 gap..could see light between the door and frame when standing outside. Pillow cases were yellowed and I question whether or not the sheets were clean. Plastic bath tun insert showed years of use evidenced by the staining and liberal use of caulking. Cigarettes butts filled the parking spaces. ‘Breakfast included’ was a joke. Stack of bread on a plate with jars of peanut butter and grape jelly. Jars were half full. There was a dispenser for orange juice. I would not stay here again and definitely would not recommend it to friends or family.

Breakfast was not what expected. Cold cereal and bread.

My room wash clean and in good condition. Good water pressure. My only complaint is that breakfast was lacking. Nothing hot except instant oatmeal and toast. No muffins (standard fare anywhere else). All in all its a decent hotel.

This hotel was very nice. My only complaint was there was a more limited breakfast than some of the Super 8s I have stayed at (and more expansive than the grab and go ones). I will stay here again if my trip gets broken in Fernley.

I absolutely love staying here. It’s hard to find affordable hotels that are still good quality. I loved the manager Paula, super sweet and helpful. She made sure everything was clean and welcoming. I really enjoyed and appreciated the breakfast.

Free breakfast is cereal or toast. No thanks. No protein available unless you count the milk for cereal. Coffee was good.

Your "American Breakfast" needs some protein, maybe hard boiiled eggs or sausages "

The "free breakfast" was a joke. Your choice of 2 cold cereals. The property was old and not that well taken care of.

I want to start with The absolute worst part of staying there. The free breakfast they offered. You had 2 options, and both seem like they should be healthy code violations for a motel. 1. Cereal. You could either have a bowl of frosted flakes or chex. You only have one choice of milk, and that was milk they had poured out of the carton and into a metal pitcher (for some reason) that's been sitting on the counter, unrefrigerated, for how long? Your guess is as good as mine. Possibly since 6 am. If you don't want the cereal, you can have toast. You have 1 option for bread, and it's some white bread they, again, took out of the package and placed in a bread box. And the peanut butter and jelly were just jars that were sitting open on the counter with knives in them. One of the dingiest hotels I've stayed in. The non smoking room we were in smelled of smoke. We were in a room on the second floor, and you could hear every step the people in the neighboring rooms made.
