Legacy Vacation Resorts - Reno

This place was comfortable enough. The staff is very helpful/friendly. A little tight in the parking structures but manageable. Seemed to be extra noisy & we could hear conversation right through the door in the outer hallway & the rooms on either side through the walls. The pool was refreshing & I enjoyed the dry sauna, I only wished there was a hot tub. All in all we enjoyed the stay & would consider this property for any future stays in Reno

There is no accoutics. Every sound top, bottom or side rooms comes thru. Depending on hour of evening parking can be difficult. 1 of our bathrooms had the toilet break, fixed in a timely manner but broke again. There is only 1 elevator for the amount of rooms. The carpet and furniture are very dated.. The amenties like theoutdoor room, putt putt etc are in really bad condition. Having said all of the above the size of the 1 BR was great, linens fresh & clean, all kitchen appliances functioned. We could walk to a nice area of the River Walk and had some great restaurants to chose from versus being in the casinos with all the smoke, crowded people etc. Room rate was reasonable. We'd stay there again if there are some upgrades.

Laundry Amenities: Yes there are washers and dryers there, but they were out of service the entire duration of my stay. Not good. I was there over 3 weeks and always there was a note on both washers: “out of service. Sorry for the inconvenience.” Well, “sorry” doesn’t really get things fixed. When i complained about it, all I ever got was “Sorry.” I saw no effort made to fix them. “Sorry” isn’t “sustainable” either, CEO of Legacy Resorts! There was bad a water leak directly outside my door every morning. I stepped in a puddle of water every day when I went out the door. I can say that my room was well maintained and well stocked. The staff took good care of the guests except for the laundry room and the old water pipes.

Parking with a big vehicle is a challenge.

Property had the type of room arrangement we were looking for. Covered parking and a swimming pool.

Room was clean and stocked with dishes and appliances free to use in our suite/studio . I was very impressed with how clean the room was and spacious it was . The gym was my favorite part , it was small but it had everything you needed for a good workout. The pool area and sauna were also nicely kept and fun to use as well. Parking can be tricky, but once I discovered you can park on Hill Street it made it much easier. I also liked the semi private entrance and exit of the building.

Room size was good, located near the Truckee river & downtown with free parking included. It's walkable, but the area was not good, few homeless people were rooming around. The building was old, noise from top floor and next door, in-door pool was out.

The property is in a horrible part of town, with very limited parking. if you have a large vehicle there are only 6 spots to park in that are labled Truck/suv parking, however they do not make small vehicle move if they park there. Also they advertised an arcade, game room and putt putt golf course. However, only 2 of the 5 games they had actualy worked. In the game room the fooseball table was broken, but they did have a pool table that was fully operational and the putt putt couse was unusable. Most of the boards were broken or coming apart with screws sticking out all over the place. The hotel also shuts down the Air conditioning to half of the rooms during winter, so you have to request a fan for your room (unless your ok with your room being 80 degrees at night.) The one redeaming quality was the pool and sauna unfortunatly we were only able to use it for one day because other guests were using it for a party room for 4 hours each day we were there. And the final and biggest issue was the service. If you need anything you better be ok with waiting all day for it because they work at a very slow pace. When we requested a fan for the room we were told it would only take a few minutes. Also, someone had to be in the room to accept the fan. We requested it at around 230 and didnt receve a fan till after 6 so had to waste our entire afternoon waiting for sothing that should have taken 5 min. Was an uterly horible experience start to finish.

Property has the amenities every o e wants just needs a little detail work to bring in more guests!

We found a cockroach on the “kitchen” counter. It was disgustingly dirty, at least 10 health code violations and safety violations. There was a huge hole in the wall behind the elevator control panel, no parking for trucks, unsafe location. I took my family out of there as fast as I could.

Apparently, they don't change the bed linen between customers. Carpet very dirty.

Over a two nights stay, we encountered 1 adult roaches and 4 juvenile roaches in the guest room. Bring many roach motel and roach bait stations if you are planning to stay here.

There were some roaches in my room and the room wasn’t the cleanest. Also my card would not work really at all. When I went to check out I couldn’t open the door due to my card not working for over 30 minutes. I had to walk all the way around and down the stairs to get a new card and when they gave me a new one that card didn’t work either.

There was no hot water in the master bath. The sink in the livingroom bath had black water coming out. The room was so out dated and dirty. Found hair in the bed. We did not stay! We left at 11 pm and drove 3 hours home because the room was so bad!!

Super outdated, curtains look really old and worn out, carpets were really dirty our feet were black within a couple of minutes, roaches in room, unable to accommodate me Into any other room because they were all just as bad or worse according to their security who was the only one there trying to help. Then they Refused to refund me after I decided to not stay not even one night. Management never called to apologize or even try to reason with me. I had a family with small children and no where to stay. Very upset that this hotel turned out this way I think it has a lot of potential if they cared enough to renovate or at least treat the cockroaches and deep clean. The rooms are decent sizes with living spaces and kitchens but who can even have food there without getting bugs crawling Into it.

Roach infested, carpets were dirty, old need major updating, this place has so much potential rooms are spacious and would be great if they renovated and got rid of all their roaches.

The pictures are NOT accurate. The room has not been updated since the 70's except for paint. The floor is uneven, squeaky, and squishy. The beds are uncomfortable. The water doesn't get very hot. The furniture looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the 70's. And you can literally hear everything. Don't waste your money here!

My family and I arrived at the property and immediately noticed it did not look as advertised. Once checked in we were giving a room which didn’t have the room number on the outside. We entered and noticed the room looked nothing like the inside photos and was kind of run down and smelled like raid spray. The heat came on as I was bringing our luggage in and that’s when our trip took a turn for the worst! ROACHES and I mean more than 3 or 4 started crawling from the vents and near the refrigerator. My little girls were terrified! I immediately went down to reception and requested a refund and was told I would receive one but days later Expedia told my refund wasn’t granted by the hotel even though I showed them pictures and video of the roaches in the room assigned. I’m very disappointed with this booking it’s really unfortunate.

The first room the gave me was dirty, ac didn’t work and it had a connecting ro the was open and made us feel us unsafe. I ended up sliding the sofa need in front of it and they provided me with 2 fans since they couldn’t switch my room. Bed was uncomfortable, coffee maker was dirty

The beds need to be repaired or new ones bought the pull out beds were worst shape. Some of the flooring was either broken or needs repair. The kitchen I. The room was great clean the refrigerator did not work well Did not keep items cold. The stars was great and friendly very professional.

Bring an air mattress if you have more than 4 people. The sofa bed was not useable. Furniture looked from the 70’s orange and faded. Pool wasn’t open more than half the staff. WiFi was good. Nice kitchenette with everything you need. Great location.

Vi var i Reno två nätter. Vi är en familj på två vuxna och tre barn. Rummet var stort och rymligt och det var inga problem att få plats. Vårat rum hade två toaletter med dusch, vilket var väldigt bra. Ett litet kök finns med kaffebryggare och annat som kan behövas. Skicket på rummet var eftersatt och skulle behöva en uppfräschning. Soffan var väldigt sliten och hade flera fläckar. Lister var trasiga och kakel var sprucket. Sängarna var helt okej. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam och poolen var varm. Parkeringen var gratis.

The stay was good, very quiet and central to downtown Reno. The only thing i would note is that the fan (ac and heating) was extremely loud.

It has a full kitchen which is nice. Single studio doesn't have much counter space. Other good. Most 2 inconvenient aspects: 1. Thin walls (easily hear neighboring rooms which can potentially make it difficult when people are watching TV on loud volume). 2. Lack of control over thermostat. Reno has erratic weather. One the weekend it snowed a little and then hot (above mid 70s) in the week. The staff insisted that since there's only central heating/cooling and since "technically" the season is still summer, there would only be the option to HEAT or keep off. The room gets VERY stuffy and they have limited standing fans. Poor sleep (especially for longer stays) in this condition. There is a netted door you can open through the balcony but that can be a security concern also, it's weird to have that open when you're sleeping... easily someone can see in. These are the 2 main things that would prevent me from coming back. Especially the thermostat one.

The room was Ok, except I don’t think there was air conditioning, so it’s a definite no for summer. Bed was small. Seemed like a full size, not a queen. The walk to the room felt like a sum. Inside was ok.

We check in for 3 nights. First off this hotel says there’s AC but there was no AC in our room only a heater. When we told front desk they said half the bldg. doesn’t have AC. I know it’s winter but the room was getting pretty hot even without the heater on and most the windows wouldnt say open because they were broken and the one that weren’t didn’t open all the way. Second I booked a suite with 2 queen beds but was given a suite with one queen bed. I didn’t complain because both couches in that suite pulled out to beds for the kids. Third, we stayed 3 nights and they provide no housekeeping service and if you want house keeping service it was $40 a night extra. When we asked for extra linen we were only given a couple of sheets and no towels or blanket. We ended up using the pool towels. I think the hotel needs to be up front about these things before people book. I was pretty disappointed. I don’t think we will be staying there at our future visits to Reno.

It was over all good other than doors slam very hard and very loud. And the smell of people cooking was awful

Very friendly helpful staff

It was super slow to check in and there was so much confusion at the front desk. It took almost one hour to check in and with kids , it was so inconvenient. Then they did not offer the two queen bed that we booked and instead gave us a one queen bed. I was super upset that as family we cannot sleep together and one has to sleep on the sofa. I was about to cancel the appointment and go to another hotel but I was traveling with other family friends who all booked in the same hotel. My friend requested for another makeshift bed for my family and they finally relented and offered us the bed in the living room but we could not sleep together as a family and it kinda ruined our trip. Do not book at this hotel because they would not honor their words.

This is a pretty nice place and an easy walk to the river walk, auto museum, a great art museum and some casinos, of course.There are lots of good restaurants nearby, also. The staff was great and responsive to our needs. All good!

The beginning of my stay was really rude from the regional manager El Salvador which tried to charge me extra fees outside of what the receipt had told me. Was nice enough to waive the deposit after I called Expedia customer service to make a complaint. Some of the guests that they had staying next to us was in a domestic situation I had called the security multiple times during the night shift to check on it and even called PD and they did nothing about it. The next day I was getting bombarded with noise complaints because of the next door guests. They're domestic situation was lasting all day. Until I was confronted by the door by Reno PD telling me that I was getting kicked out and trespassing. Just for management to tell me that it was a mix-up they did not give me a refund or honor the mistake that they made on their end and I dealt with a traumatic situation. I am not okay with this experience with legacy. I asked for a refund and they told me to file a claim and make a refund with you guys.

Staff were very friendly! I recommend this place especially if you are staying a week or more , it felt like home . Very clean , a lot of things to do as well .

The check-in process was horrible there was only one girl working and I had to wait over 30 minutes to check in She was waiting for the person in front of me to get their tag number and said she couldn't check in more than one person at a time so we literally had to wait until the lady went to the parking garage got her tag number and came back. The parking was horrible very tight squeeze no matter the size of your vehicle there was no phone in the room to call the front desk although the pamphlet she gave me said to dial zero for the front desk. There was a coffee machine but no cream sugar or anything to put in it I called the front desk on my cell phone She said she don't think they're providing that anymore and when I asked her about the phone she said oh we don't have bones in the room those pamphlets are outdated. I was wondering why she gave me a pamphlet if it's outdated the information wasn't correct at all

Property was clean. There were areas that smelled pungent of marijuana near west bldg elevator. Check in was listed to be at 4 pm they told us room not ready would be half hour. Was not contacted that room ready after an hour. Had to go to front desk and ask for status. 1.5 hours later got room. Bathroom sink clogged. AC worked too good. Room too cold. TV remote wouldn't change channel by entering channel number, change only with up and down arrows. Stairs in west bldg are uneven and tripping hazard.

Overall the stay was not bad the cleanliness was good we had a couple of problems checking in we reserved 2 suites 1 bedroom with two queen beds and a sofa bed when checking in they only found one i had to email my receipt to the receptionist that was on the phone because there was no one except the security there in person once she received my receipt and confirmed 2 suite i was issued keys mind the rooms were on separate floors once we made our way to the rooms we walk in to the surprise it was a one bedroom suite with only one queen bed and two sofa beds which is not what i booked yes i know sound picky but your paying for something you except to get what your paying for so i went down to the reception where i had to speak on the phone again to the receptionist (robin) and i let her know the problem and what i booked and she said well that what we have and i cant just appear rooms that fit the description of what you booked at the end she was able to help and gave us an extraroom to make up forbone of the beds we were missing but it was on the other side of the hotel and now we had to figure out who of us was going to be all the way over there away from are already separate rooms on this side of the hotel.I have pictures but for some reason it doesnt let me upload them.

Great location to Downtown Reno and river walk

Bathroom exhaust fan was LOUD!! Liked that property was one block from Wingfield Park and Truckee River. Also just a few blocks to downtown casinos.

The stay was good, very quiet and central to downtown Reno. The only thing i would note is that the fan (ac and heating) was extremely loud.

The people here were so friendly, and it was a great location to be in the middle of everything but not be in the bright lights will probably go stay there again!

The location is great, property needs updating, AC is hit or miss, staff was nice, but there are no phones in the rooms and not a lot of storage;

It’s a mature building but clean inside. Samsung, LG and Kenmore Appliances, not you no make Walmart crap. The folks at the Desk at check-in were polite, helpful and professional. I’ve been spending one or two nights a year in Reno for the last seven years and this has been my most pleasant day. There are some real dumps in this town. The neighborhood is improving. The Park is GREAT and a 3 minute walk.
