Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Canandaigua - Finger Lakes Area

Very old motel that had a bad odor issue in the carpeted hallways, oddly like an overwhelming chili powder. Areas of the floor had give and were squeaky. Property not secured at night due to broken keypad on back door. Bedspread was old and dated, but linens and room clean. They had forgotten to leave soap in the room, but this was quickly and pleasantly remedied at the front desk. There was a coffee station, and perhaps continental breakfast (?), but I was not told hours and did not utilize this. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. Honestly, for the price, this is what I would expect but I would encourage owners to invest in some upgrades -- replacing carpet and bedspreads the priority -- and increase price accordingly.

Comfy bed but needs to be updated! Painting the bathrooms would be helpful

Main lobby is locked at all times. Could not get coffee or breakfast 6:30. Main light did not work in the room. Water took 10mins to get hot to wash hands or shower. Would not go back.
