The parking arrangement was not explained properly before making the reservation. Parking is off premises. Valet is $9 over the parking garage fee. With valet there is no in and out available. Best to park yourself or shop Round for other nearby parking garages that have rates lower than $60 per day. There is also no on premises food, other than snacks that are also available at nearby convenience shops.

Good location but sub-par amenities. No restaurant, no bottled water in the room, no bar, no mini-bar in room. The staff was super attentive. The hotel description was not reality; looks expansive but is a near-dreary lobby. Its one of the few reasonable hotels in the area of the upper east at 1st and 92nd, but ain't no great shakes...

The hotel gym was being renovated, and my wife works out regularly. It was disappointing to find this out as we were checking in. The vents above the bathroom showers were dirty. The elevators were stripped bare, and only two were available. The neighborhood is somewhat isolated with a housing project across the street. That said, there were some positive. The bed was very comfortable. Very quiet. We used to live in the neighborhood and felt comfortable with the surrounding area. Central Park and bars/restaurants are fairly close. I’d stay there again for a cheaper rate.

It was good. However, a few days one elevator was out and caused over a 20 linute wait time to get upstairs to the room. The same elevator had issues in April when i stayed there. Hallways, building and room were cleaned. However, alot of dog poop outside. Some piles were stepped one and smeared on the side walk and front of building. That's the one area that probably needs daily cleaning. This trip was mych longer for 11 days.

There were three of us, and we had a suite. The king bed was fine, but the sofa bed was EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE!!!! It was one of the worst pullout sofas we've ever used!!! When you use the bathroom sink, you have to close the door, because it blocks the sink. For $600 +per night, I would expect better from Marriott!

The staff was wonderful. Clean, spacious rooms. Our only complaint was that there was no a/c available in the room. We were roasting hot and sleeping was difficult. When I asked the front desk person about it, she said to turn the system off entirely and the room would cool down. This was not the case at all. The room remained very warm. Other than that, great hotel!

The property is dated, needs remodeling. The AC didn't cool very well. We had two maintenance people come check it in two different times and they claimed everything was fine and they cant get it to be colder. Even though we had the thermostat set to 60 degrees. I wouldn't want to stay in the middle of the summer when its very hot in the city with poorly functioning AC.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights, on the 10th floor. Every morning we were awoken by dogs barking. We figured out the ASPCA is directly next door. I’m sure this is a constant issue for guests. Then we were charged $250 for smoking or vaping in the room, but we never smoked or vaped in the room at all. We rolled joints in the room and walked around outside to smoke them. Marijuana is legal in NYC after-all. We called to have this fee reversed, but the manager refused, saying his sensors [magically] picked up a change in air quality. When we said we never smoked in the room, only rolled joints to smoke outside - he just repeated himself and said he cannot reverse it. They basically stole our money and refused to give it back. We are escalating through customer relations with Marriott - but we recommend you find somewhere else to stay altogether.

Parking garage recommended was very unprofessional and did not charge quoted price. Cashier faked a lack of English when pressed on this issue. Front desk staff could be friendlier and more helpful. First man tried to charge me $100 to check in 1 hour early, and I also had a strange experience with a female front desk attendant to use the lower level restroom (needed key from her). Customer service lacking.

Courtyard Upper East side is the best stay in NYC and it is so because of the service provided by Willie Howard at the front desk and his indefatigable enthusiasm and positivity as well as 100% committment to hospitality and guest relations. First thing I noticed arriving was a dead pigeon rotting behind a pillar outside. The room was stuffy the first night. I chalked it up to being sweaty from walking a bunch. The second night felt worse. The staff said they would send the engineer to check the unit. He said the room unit was fine and he would check the unit on the roof. Nothing got better and we were only offered a fan. The next day it still hadn’t been felt with. I asked what could be done or if we could get another room. I was told they couldn’t do that until an engineer looked at the ac unit. No communication or resolution. I came back for the third time and was seeking some sort of compensation and was told that there was no manger and that I would need to call back the next day after 10 to speak to someone. I will be following up but it was egregious that we were stung along like that after paying what we did for 4 nights.

some staff were very rude. The hotel was under construction. The AC rattles all night. Asked for drinking glass...they said no. I'm Gold Elite and couldn't get a late checkout after told I could. They used to have coffee and water in the lobby but was gone after a few days...they referred me to a store at the corner. TV would jump on at random times and wake me up 2 times it was at 5:11am & 5:36am. Overall it was horrible

I liked our experience at the hotel . Staff was friendly and helpful. The valet parking worked out well. The process was not too complicated. Although I did drop my keys in the box after locking my car doors, but was asked to put my receipt on the dash. I put it under the wiper and it was ok

Female Staff member did not greet me when I approach the front desk and was talking to a male staff member. She continued to ignore me after she looked right at me and I finally had to ask if I was at the right place to check in. She responded yes and continuing talking to him. Very unprofessional and rude! Also after telling me she needed my credit card in case I charge anything to the room, I noticed my card was charged $100! When I asked about this the next day she told me it would come off my card in 5 to 6 days. Why the hell should they have my money for 5 to 6 days when I didn’t charge anything to my room!

Staff were most unhelpful at assisting us with transportation to the airport despite asking in advance of our need to get a taxi to the airport. Two different staff members insisted we would have no trouble hailing a taxi out the front of the hotel and that they couldn’t arrange for a taxi to collect us from the hotel. We spent 45 minutes in van trying to do so before we were advised that they have a direct phone service that we could ise ourselves to arrange a taxi. They even sent an elderly lady out the front of the hotel to hail a taxi by herself. It was only after we advised her to go back inside the hotel and get the hotel staff to help her that they provided any assistance to her. Poor performance from hotel staff with our only request from them in our 8 night stay.

This location is perfect for those with families, especially younger children. It's close enough to the subway lines (6, Q), but feels like it's tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Lexington. We lived in this neighborhood for 5+ years and always told our friends and family to book this hotel. We're glad that it hasn't changed over the years.

I wanted to be close to my sister's place in the Upper East Side so the location worked for me. It can be a challenge to find a room with 2 beds in Manhattan but we found one here. There was a convenient deli around the corner and the ferry boat was a short walk away on the East River. The 96th St.Subway station was close too. The staff were pleasant and the room was nicely appointed.

We had a great stay. The transport links are excellent with the Q metro 5 min away and the ferry nearby. It’s lovely to return to a quieter part of the city in a lovely neighbourhood. There are tables in the lobby to sit and eat food from local delis which really helped us.

The rooms were spacious compared to others we've stayed in NYC. The area felt relatively safe to walk around at night. Being in the upper east side away from the chaos of downtown was amazing. Hotel is about a quarter mile walk to the subway which was great. We were close to small markets to get things we needed and enjoyed the hotels recommendations for nearby food and drinks. Overall enjoyed our experience and would recommend!

The parking arrangement was not explained properly before making the reservation. Parking is off premises. Valet is $9 over the parking garage fee. With valet there is no in and out available. Best to park yourself or shop Round for other nearby parking garages that have rates lower than $60 per day. There is also no on premises food, other than snacks that are also available at nearby convenience shops.

Friendly staff. About 8 min from Q line and close to bus stops. 10-15 min from Central Park. Safe neighborhood. Not many amenities- no lotion or other bathroom extras but had the basics. Free coffee/tea. For dining options, go to York avenue- great cafes and sandwich shops.

Came to NY for a hospital procedure. This hotel was the closest to Mt Sinai hospital. The only missing thing is the hotel does not have a restaurant where one can pick up an easy breakfast or snack. Other than that it is more than adequate

Have stayed at this Marriott several times due to locale close to our family. Hotel could use a renovation. Rooms clean but overall, property needs reno of carpets some painting and bathroom updating. No restaurant in hotel.

We drove to the city and parked nearby. The hotel was uncomfortably warm. The AC didn’t work very well at all! The place was very clean and we had maid service each day. The complementary coffee was very nice.

When we checked in I noticed the conditioner has hair and the bathroom towel has hair inside. The toilet bowl is too low for a 450 pound guy. The sink is a little bit slow for the water to come down maybe needs to be pumped under the sink. Overall the hotel itself is beautiful the lobby is spacious and clean. Staffs are friendly and accommodating.
