The stay was ok when I got there there was a sign that said pool was closed for maintenance the receptionist said the pool was going to be open the next day so I decided to stay the next day I was told no it’s not opening not very pleased only stayed with this reservation because I was told my kids could go swimming..

This is a very good option, property is clean and staff was very helpful and professional the swimming pool has potential but needs attention the tiles around the pool was extremely dirty and disgusting but other than that I enjoy my time at the location (will not go to the pool, unless they correct the situation) I will come back and recommend this place anytime

The pool was well maintained and there was a quality sauna. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. There is some pretty nasty graffitti in the sauna that could be cleaned off, also in the shower room next to the sauna. There is no soap in the women's bathroom by the pool.Staff was incredibly polite and helpful.

Sure it's dated, but it's basically clean and it's cozy. The staff were very friendly! We had breakfast at the attached restaurant, and it was good greasy diner food, exactly what we were looking for... the staff there were great too! The pool is awesome, clean and inviting.

Clean, quiet, and well-priced motel just off the Thruway. Downtown Saugerties is a short drive away. I've stayed here several times when visiting family in the area and always found it very comfortable.

Room smelled moldy and obvious water damage on ceiling. Leaky tub faucet too. Furniture in horrible shape…. Many pieces broken and damaged. Sooooo dated. Needs new everything, from paint to curtains to carpet. The beds were comfortable but someone who checked in shortly before us had to come back because linens were dirty while we were checking in. We checked ours before settling in, but they were ok.

I was honestly shocked at the state of the room. I really don’t consider myself a picky person… but this room shocked me. Everything smelled damp and mildewy, there were mold/mildew stains in the bathroom, the grout and there was visible dirt on the walls, door, light switches, etc. The artwork was broken and half hanging off of the bracket. The refrigerator was both leaking and froze everything, ruining all of the food in there. Every surface was sticky and gross feeling. I would never recommend anyone to stay here and I’ll never be staying again. After horse showing in 95 degree weather all day, this was NOT a relaxing spot to return to. Do yourself a favor, spend the extra money and stay somewhere else, or in one of the neighboring towns.

Hi, I stayed at the Howard Johnson hotel in Saugerties and it needs a deep cleaning and paint. My room had a pair of dirty underwear on the floor and the microwave has old food caked inside. The walls need to be painted professionally and there is mold in the shower. Really needs to be attended too.

Since the hotel is next to a highway, it was very noisy. We hadn’t noticed the noise as much during prior stays, so we’re wondering if it was worse because we stayed on the second floor during our most recent visit. The carpet on the stairs was very dirty, the microwave didn’t work (all I wanted was some hot water for tea), the pillows were ridiculously soft (didn’t seem to have much filling) and the towels were flimsy. I guess all this wouldn’t have bothered me as much if we hadn’t paid $300 per night.

Convenient to the thruway, but because of that get the noise. Definitely an older motel, some parts of the room have been updated in a cute, "retro" way, but unfortunately not the bathrooms. Ours desperately needed a new shower curtain. Was fine for 1 night, you should not pay a lot for this place. The Holiday Inn across the street is much nicer.

Good location and clean. WiFi was not reliable at all. I had urgent business work to complete and had to use my phone’s hotspot. The tub faucet was dripping through our stay. We were offered a room, but on the second floor. We declined since we had already settled in. Please ensure that the WiFi is updated and the faucet is fixed.

Very convenient hotel for visits to Saugerties/HITS. Surprising quiet rooms given the proximity to the highway. Hotel has clearly not been refurbished in a long time. For the price i would have expected a coffee maker in the room. There was a magic marker (I think) stain on the sheets (which were otherwise clearly freshly laundered). Management is very nice and do their best to keep the property clean and running smoothly.

The hardest mattress I’ve ever slept on and not in a good way. First room they gave me the sheets were dirty so I moved rooms. It’s as basic as you can get. Came to the area for HITS down the street which is very convenient and that’s a huge plus. It was clean enough to sleep in, but if I had a choice I’d go elsewhere.

Chuck the crap decor and any aging, rusting elements or badly grouted corners, edges etc. Customers just need a solid bed when clean linen, hot water, AC/Heat and enough light….Scrap the coffee maker w crap coffee, there’s a restaurant below if you really need bad coffee.

The ceiling in the bathroom had great big stains on it and the upholstery on the chair was torn. When checking out, i was waiting with about 6 other guests for the desk clerk to return - there was a sign up saying they would ne right back. After about 10 minutes, i tried calling the hotel to ask them to send someone but no one answered. I finally got a text with a link to check out so I checked out that way. Terrible place.

Simply adequate. Gets the job done as a place to stay. A bit dingy, but clean enough. No breakfast, but there’s an attached restaurant. Free coffee is awful, don’t bother. Sure it's dated, but it's basically clean and it's cozy. The staff were very friendly! We had breakfast at the attached restaurant, and it was good greasy diner food, exactly what we were looking for... the staff there were great too! The pool is awesome, clean and inviting.

One of the worst hotel/motel experiences of my life. This is the kind of place you stay at because you’re traveling to or from somewhere and it’s just off the highway. I paid $300 for a dark, dingy room with an empty shower gel/soap canister in the shower, toilet paper stuffed into the door eye hole (creepy), a glow stick on the floor from a previous guests’ night on the town, a clock that was unplugged because it didn’t work. The lobby bathroom smelled like … well, NOT good! When I checked out in the morning, there was a guy sitting on the adjacent sofa— he was the front desk attendant. He didn’t even get up from the couch and told me just to leave the room keys on the desk. Did I mention this was $300?
