The hotel is very rundown and in need of updates. It apparently has a reputation by local residence to be a less then, an acceptable place to stay. When I mentioned to someone who lived in the area where we were staying, they told us it was unfortunate that that’s where we chose to stay. There are much nicer places for the same amount of money. Our biggest complaint was the pole area. The pool room was set at 64°. We asked that the temperature be turned up to be more comfortable. We were told that the man behind the desk did not have a key to adjust the thermostat. The second night the room was still set at 64° and we complained again he told us he adjusted the temperature and it went to 65°. When we asked why it couldn’t be warmer, the man behind the desk, admitted that the pole heater was broken and we were told that the maintenance department did not work on the weekend. And it was the maintenance people that would have to take care of that. It is hard to believe that a hotel does not have maintenance people accessible seven days a week. I focus so much on the pool because when we travel, we look forward to spending time and relaxing in an in an pool after a day of sightseeing. This is also an issue for me because prior to arriving at the hotel I had called to make sure that the pool would be open and not in need of repairs. I was told that there were no issues with the pool and it would be open.
