Homewood Suites by Hilton Cleveland-Solon

The good-the staff was amazing-so helpful Breakfast had lots of choices Our floor was newly renovated and our room was beautiful except the bathtub still needed to be refinished-not sure why that wasn't done with the rest of the remodel! Hotel is close to a few restaurants and easy to get to a major highway. The bad-this hotel is still under renovation so we were treated by noises from the construction going on in the floor below us-even on a Saturday they were working! I get it that they need to get the construction done but working on a Saturday AM at 7 was not ideal. It was also tough to try to nap in the middle of the afternoon with the banging!!! Workout room had a spin bike that had a seat that was wobbly and one treadmill didn't work-no towels in the workout room. Pool was not open due to the construction. I would stay there again....once the construction was done!!!

We were aware that the hotel was under renovation, but there was no excuse for the state this hotel was in. There was trash everywhere. Outside the entrances, inside in the hallways, outside of our room. There was a strong smell of marijuana outside the entrance, as well as in the hallway outside of our room. The first night, the lights under the bed turned on every time we moved in bed, and kept us up all night. There was no housekeeping services, so we had no clean towels the whole stay. The last night, the fire alarm went off at 4am because someone was smoking in their room. We packed up and left after that. Will not be staying there again, even though we go to that area frequently for competitions.

Property under construction. Drywall dust everywhere. Moldy shower curtain and hair from previous guests in room. Only one elevator worked. Ceiling fell in in.pool closed several days. Should have let us know about construction.

The overall cleanliness of the room was good. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. For breakfast they gave a verity option.

Parking was great even during the snow.
