Nice hotel but converted from old motel. As such there are limitations which cannot be overcome. location, on a busy street and not much sound insulation. Pool is just in the car park and was closed (off season) but wouldn't really want to hang out there due to how it's situated and then the noise/ pollution from the roads and car park traffic. staff we're very friendly and helpful with the rooms nice and clean. Loved the fire pit outdoor seating area.

They upgraded big time from the old Red Lion. My brother and I were very satisfied with our stay. Very clean, very modernized and an outdoor hot tub in Bend. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is excellent! Newly remodeled and offered great service. We appreciated the $3 taps for guests and took a swim in the pool. The room was comfortable, clean and adorable!

Room was ready when we arrived. Rooms are motel style so entry is from outside from the parking lot. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for the night. TV remote didn’t work with all buttons but really that wasn’t a huge deal. Hot tub and pool area were clean.

Third stay this ski season at Waypoint. So I’m a regular customer. In this instance, the facilities fell short of expectations. The shower was very low volume and had to change rooms post check in, which is always a stressful event after a long drive. The hot tub wasn’t working during my stay, and I definitely rate a hot tub a must have during a ski trip. Looks like maintenance issues, please address.

I like that they are dog friendly. The rooms are vinyl flooring so no carpet that hides icky stuff from previous stays. Very clean too!

After throwing away the dirty one, there was only one sheet left in the box. - No breakfast (this was written in the description but breakfast is usually provided at other similar-level hotels) - Early check-in requires $50 even if the room is available.

Other people's hairs still on "clean" towel, TV menu that was set to 8 hours ahead of real time, Shower stall that would not drain. Rude front desk staff with an absolute lack of customer service. Will not be staying here again. Will not recommend staying here to anyone.

Loved it! Only issue was shower drain didn’t drain well so kind of grossed me out having water sit. Other than that everything was very clean and comfortable!!

The property is fine. While the rooms and hotel were recently renovated, some of the areas were not, or at least appear that way. The grout and caulking in the shower were certainly not recent updates as they were worn, with some mold growing in the cracks. The room had been updated and the TV, shelving, hanger rack was interesting - not conventional but very functional. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 4PM (standard check-in time) so we opted for a "lesser" room that was ready - we had an event to get to, and didn't have 45-60 minutes that housekeeping needed. Another couple was in a similar situation waiting for a first floor room to get cleaned. The kid behind the counter, while well intentioned and polite, seemed overwhelmed by two couples needing a quick modification. He even remarked something to the effect of "I can't do anything with everyone talking at once", after I had accepted a smaller room that was ready. and the other couple asked if there was something like that that they could do as well. He should never apply to work a flight counter at the airport! Overall, it was fine. Good location, easy access, ample parking, nice enough - nothing lavish, decent value. I will look for another option when next in Bend, but might come back if nothing better materializes.

Such a gem! For this price, what a bargain. I submitted one request for an additional blanket on the website. I received an immediate acknowledgement, and 2 more follow up messages assuring me it was noted. On arrival, the desk clerk also mentioned my request, and asked if I needed anything else. So often those notes (extra pillow, blanket, etc.) are ignored. The room was huge, everything very clean, excellent water pressure and hot water. The bed, which I can be picky about, was lovely. Quiet, comfortable, friendly, economic. Don't miss out.

Good hotel. I liked the accommodations in the double king room and decor. You could hear a little road noise, but that’s not preventable and it’s not that bad at all, better than my grandmas house road noise growing up! Not a horrible price, double the budget hotel I also stay at but this is worth it.

Not sure why the ratings so high in a slightly larger motel called Waypoint. First, the positives include the larger beds, bigger rooms, and all kinds of appliances. I think the owner checked all the boxes to meet 3 stars standard. Then the negatives are, all the appliances are old, and of low quality. For example, the fridge is Galanz, which is loud. I used to own one 20 plus years ago. The A/C is old and loud, installed at the bottom of the sink. In the end is the price, I paid 240 for a large motel is a bit pricey, maybe 160 to 190 range for a room like this. Next time I will pick a Quality Inn or Comfort Inn over this one, at least these motels offer a decent breakfast that Waypoint doesn’t.

Nice, safe property with ample parking and a national chain diner within a few feet for affordable dining and breakfast. Its a 2 story hotel that appears to have been renovated from a motor hotel (motel). No elevator, the rooms all seem to face the walkways so privacy is limited and therefore natural light is nill if you choose to keep the drapes closed for privacy. The staff are all lovely, attentive, and welcoming. The beds are comfortable however I found the pillows extremely hard and not comfortable. Overall good value with a smile.

We were impressed with the size of the room. We were supposed to be a party of five but only three showed up. Clean and well stocked. Only thing to note was no elevator to second story that I saw. Black Bear Diner next to the hotel. Easy off and on from freeway. Downtown Bend is easy to drive to.

The heater worked great if you were standing at the sink. Otherwise the entire rest of the room including the bathroom with tile and wood floors with no rugs was freezing even after turning up the heat. The lighting was too dark in the main area and the light around both mirrors was so bright I could barely see myself. The toilet paper and tissues were like sandpaper. There was only bar soap to wash. This was the first time I forgot my own. Wish I hadn't. The TV and remote are so old our only choice was cable. No options for apps like Netflix to even log into our own account to watch something current. $3 dollars for a can of water, yes can. Eco-friendly I guess but should be complimentary. Worst thing was the unnecessary bench at the end of the bed. Ran into it and fell twice in the night.

A sofa & chair sitting area was a nice amenity, as were the two large well-lighted counters, one inside the bathroom, and other just outside. I had an issue with my booking and was instructed to call customer service, I was told by the front desk this would be the only way to resolve the issue. I followed their instructions and went through all the necessary steps, but my request was still denied. Why was I told this was the required process if the request was going to be rejected anyway?

The front desk was outstanding! They made me feel at home and welcome, and allowed me to hang out at the lobby before my flight after checking out of my hotel. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the room was so cute with the decorations. 10/10.

This was a great find! The hotel offers easy virtual check-in via text. I liked the "add-on" option to add a bottle of wine and late check out. The staff at the front desk was kind and accommodating. The bartender at the bar was pretty awesome and offered great dining recommendations. My husband and i had a wonderful time for our first time in Bend. We were there to see Matt Riffe. The rooms were clean, extra towels and pillows were provided upon request and the note that accompanied the bottle of wine was a sweet touch. Thank you Waypoint! We will be back.

I stayed in the property for a weekend in Bend. It looks like it was recently refurbished, and in general, the hotel feels nice and well-maintained. However, it feels like they forgot to refurbish the bathroom at the same time they did the rest of the room, things definitely feel more dated in there. The location is good, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the center of downtown. It's on a busy/not very attractive road, but there's not a lot the hotel can do about that. Overall I would recommend a stay here

This little hotel was absolutely perfect for us! The bed was comfortable and the room was large. The lobby and other public areas were welcoming and made you want to hang out for a while. It was close enough to downtown that we could walk a lot of places and also just off the major highway so it was easy to get everywhere else. We will definitely be returning whenever we stay in Bend!

I loved how the hotel looked from the lobby to the rooms. It was perfectly centered in the middle of town close to food and where we needed to sight see. Will definitely stay here again next time!

The rooms were fairly large, and appear to have been recently renovated. A sofa & chair sitting area was a nice amenity, as were the two large well-lighted counters, one inside the bathroom, and other just outside. The hotel location was a little farther than ideal from downtown Bend, but still walking distance.

The Waypoint Hotel in Bend is one of our favorite places to stay. It is clean, attractive, quiet, and has very comfortable beds. Once we figured out how to control the heat, the room was very comfortable. The location is handy, too. The folks at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Because the Waypoint doesn’t serve breakfast, it may be helpful to know that an excellent breakfast may be had at the Victorian Cafe (on the higher end), or at Burgerville, where they serve a wonderful breakfast burrito, and good coffee.

We stayed in this hotel going and coming back from Montana, was a good half-way point. The hotel allows dogs - even offers an extra sheet and dog bone for dogs! The check-in counter has a selection of local beers and wine, the room was clean and spacious, beds comfy, the bathroom needed updating but was clean. Would stay here again!

The property was very clean and nicely updated. The only draw back was they did not offer any kind of breakfast. Even a muffin would have been nice. The restaurant was a food truck so really did not quality as a restaurant. This is first hotel in many years that I have stayed in that did not offer even a continental breakfast. The staff were excellent and having no carpeting was a plus.

I have never checked into a hotel that has beer taps behind the desk. What a great surprise on a hot day. Very nice staff and great hotel. The room was very large. We will stay here again.

Great option when travelling with a pet because it is close to downtown at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and they even gave our pup her own sheet and a biscuit. The walls and ceilings are thin though so we heard every step above us. The bar was closed over labor day weekend so we didnt have a place on site to grab a nice drink (and the immediate area wasnt great). It was however very convenient, the spa/pool were great and the common areas were beautiful.

Very nice updated hotel with nice amenities. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Very clean. The area in and around the hotel parking lot and the general neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. Convenient location for driving to restaurants and pubs. Needed to borrow a fan from the hotel staff because although the AC was working it was positioned under the counter in the bathroom area so it was not ideal for airflow. In their defense, it was a very hot day and night in Bend. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room and the property were super clean, which I appreciated. It also had a really nice pool. The staff was pleasant and helped us with check-in and kept us up-to-date. My only complaint was that it was very loud and I could hear people going up and down the stairs, walking above me and the elevator moving through throughout the night.
