Travelodge by Wyndham Depoe Bay

We really enjoyed our stay. For the cost of the room, it was fantastic. Comfortable bed, clean room, and a nice view of the ocean. We will stay again.

Nice place to stay. Very near the ocean but parking is limited.

Price was great although they don't serve breakfast but the location is walking distance to Sea Hag restaurant and deep sea charter, the location is the best if you like depot bay and they don't charge pet deposit, great view, older hotel but well kept. 77.00 a night can't beat

The parking lot is very well lit and so are the walkways by the rooms. Easy walking to shops/ restaurants and the ocean. Only negative were the heavy walkers in the room above mine, thud thud thud. Almost forgot, I came during the 4th of July hoping for quiet since my dog does not like loud noises. No fireworks could be heard the four nights I was there

My interactions with the staff and management were always postive. I had a two Queen room on the third floor, which was clean and the elavator was unexpectedly quick and efficient. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was nicely sized and the bathroom also nicely-sized. The only issue regarded the need to put a facing on the edge of spacious bathroom counter. I stayed here mainly because of its proximity--about a mile---to the Depot Bay boat launch. The view of the Pacific and the wonderful sunset was lagniappe! And it was truly within walking distance of Depoe Bays places to dine and its little shops. My recommendation is that they consider either adding a screen to its slidng balcony door, or adding air conditioning. My fishing partner was able to park his full-size Ford pickup and his Kingfisher 2425 Escape HT comfortably within reasonable and comfortable sight on

Very nice room and location. Front desk service is nice. Like their elevator, make us life easy.

The staff here is wonderful. I stayed a week and it was almost like home. My room had an excellent view of the ocean, and it close to shops and restaurant. Parking was never an issue. In fact you never have to move your car if you don’t plan on leaving Depoe Bay. This is what I saw each day

The view of the ocean and ease of walking to restaurants etc. The traffic on Hwy 101 is constant but to be expected and the room was still quiet with balcany door closed. The elevator is a real plus.

Our stay was Estupendo. Bon was great on checkin - got our dog friendly room for us, after some confusion. Bon also recommended Gracie's Sea Hag where we had a muy execelente cena. Loved the fog horn!

Ocean view was spectacular. Room was clean, recently updated (by Wyndham, no doubt). Very quiet. Note for guests: on of-season weeknights, all restaurants in tiny Depoe Bay town close at 8 pm!

You could hear the ocean when the door was open but also the cars on the highway and the boats on the water. The room did not smell good and without air conditioning the room was stuffy and hot. The floor had a lot of sand.

We showed up to check in at 4:00 pm and no one was at the window. We called and finally someone answered. There was a line of other people trying to check in. But we were told our rooms weren’t ready yet and they would call when they were ready. When we got to our room, it hadn’t been swept. The bathtub had hair and dirt in it and the floors in the bathroom were slimy.

The staff was friendly. However, unfortunately, the room was not clean. I washed filthy dirty finger marks off of the doorhandles, and all around the door handles inside and out of bathroom door. I had to wash all counter and table tops. There was a terrible smell in there. It smelled as though they sprayed lysol all over the place and you could still smell dirty, musty odor. The electric fireplace was broken, the unit was UGLY and outdated! When we went to bed we thought there were bed bugs because we were itching so baldly. But it turned out we both had reaction to the detergent or perhaps lysol got on the sheets? So, my face swelled and I got rashes. We couldn't leave the patio door open for fresh air because there was people in a unit below us smoking pot and cigarettes non stop on their balcony (it's a non smoking establishment they DON'T enforce that though) and it came straight into our room making my allergies and asthma worse. The bed was rock hard. So I got 3 hours sleep. Woke up 6 am with a stiff neck, migraine, my face was swollen and I had a rash on my face.This place has a beautiful view of Depot Bay. Gorgeous! If they cleaned properly, update the rooms, get new beds from this decade and enforced non smoking policy this would be a great place! I checked out 7 am that morning. The staff was kind, very understanding and didn't make me pay for another night that I had reserved. But did not try to address the smokers below us. Shrugged it off.

The staff was excellent. Property was well maintained and very clean. It was noisy being right off highway 101 so had to keep the sliding glass door closed at night but that solved the problem. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Floor had very obviously not been cleaned but staff responded promptly to my request. Property is right across from water so had a nice view. Unfortunately, hwy 101 runs thru right out front so quite noisy with traffic. I had earplugs. Good dining options and walkable commercial district right there. Very nice lady in reception.

Room was dirty on many of the surfaces. Towels in restroom had stains on them and the soaps in the shower were empty. This would not normally be a problem for me, but this was the one time I did not bring my own toiletries :( last thing is they did not have A/C in the rooms so if it is a hot or stuffy day I would look elsewhere

I was appalled with the cleanliness. Why did I pay for a dirty room. I had 2 Queen beds luckily- Hair in one of beds…. The floors were so dirty that as I walked around my shoes gathered up more filth & hair. If you had a scale for Yuk-that’s my rating!

I would not stay here again. It was disgusting. While the woman at the front desk was pleasant our room was not. The room had an awful odour and it was filthy. Grunge and hair in the bathtub, hair and urine around the toilet, hair and sand on thexfloor, toothpaste in the sink, stains etc. on the the walls, sand in the drawers, and a dirty towel in a cupboard. just to name a few of issues. We alerted the woman at the front who informed us that was the 4th complaint she had that day and then said they contract out the cleaning. She told us all she could do was accomodate us, which she did not. I expected a discounted rate at the bare minimum which we did not receive. On check out there was a sign on the window at the front desk saying she would not be in until 9.....so i didnt get to speak with her. I messaged the hotel through expedia and did not hear back. Very disappointing. Whoever owns this hotel might want to address the issue with the cleaning crew who is clearly not cleaning the rooms.

Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the ocean. Sleep to the sound of waves. Turn on the gas fireplace for more ambiance

Bed comfort was good. But itchy. I sleep in microfiber blanket. Sliding glass door to balcony was hard to lock. Due to a raccoon and bees I had to keep the sliding door closed. It was hot and there was no screen on the door. There was a ceiling fan and floor fan available which help but not the same as the ocean sounds and fresh coast air. The direct TV had no movie channels available and the tv had no dvd player or connections to add one. Other than a few cob webs and cracked flooring which I could stop stepping on (Ouch) the spa tub was nice! Oh and the shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed so I had to hold it or let the floor get wet. So no I won’t chose this hotel again. Sadly.

Great staff. Very helpful. WiFi is a major negative. Spent too much time on the phone and nothing was fixed. Can't stay there again. I had stayed there at least 3 times before.

Staff was great! Location is wonderful. Room had a few repairs that were just trying to cover up things, jacuzzi tub had all the controls broken off and missing, shower curtain rod was loose and the wall and would rotate down, shower drain barely flowed. Bed was super comfy. View is amazing.

This was a nice room. Beds were comfy. Room had usual amenities. It had no AC but there was a ceiling fan and a free standing fan. Those worked well to cool the room off when the balcony slider was open but the traffic noise was pretty loud with that door open. All in all it was a great location.

This property was not the prettiest or the cleanest. However the view was amazing from the porch. There was also no air conditioning, which I didn't require however I would have liked to have a screen door on the sliding door so I could keep it open. The staff was very kind and nice I did not have to deal with them except for check in. Again the view was amazing.

Bathtub leaked HOT water all night which made the room hot and humid. (No AC available). Room was on the ocean side which, one would think, is a great idea, however noise from road right outside window was loud all night long.

Hard beds, dirty room, confusing office experience. Given key to room someone was in and an upgrade was offered as an apology which was appreciated. First time staying at a Travel Lodge. Won’t stay at one again.

When I booked my reservation I was told that my card would not be charged until I checked in. I got a phone call 5 hours prior to check-in time telling me my card had been declined & my reservation would be cancelled if I didn't pay within 30 mins. I explained it was a debit card, not a credit card & I would be making a deposit into my account in about an hour. The front desk person was EXTREMELY rude. She gave me an email address for her manager that didn't work & she hung up on me 4 times while I was attempting to fix the situation. The last time I tried to talk to her she told me that my reservation had been cancelled & I would need to make other arrangements. So I made reservations at a different hotel & before I had left home I discovered that Travelodge had charged my card anyway, the second I made my deposit. My bank will be opening a fraud case against them as soon as the charge posts & I will NEVER have anything good to say about them. She charged my card only 45 minutes after telling me that she had cancelled my reservation & then hung up on me before I could respond. Incredibly unprofessional!

We checked in after waiting a while for someone to come to the front desk. Room was on the bottom floor north side of building. “View” was mostly the road, buildings and tress with the ocean back there somewhere. Room smelled horrible. Damp. Dank. Musty. All the words. Definitely a pet room and my daughter is allergic. Room next door had a dog barking non stop. Asked for another room and they said they had none. My daughter couldn’t handle it so we had to leave and find a room elsewhere. I asked for refund as we were there less than 10 minutes. I got no apologies and no refund. Tried to work through hotels.com with the hotel and they refused. We messaged back and forth for a couple days and they refused to give me a contact for corporate Wyndham and offered no refund. Not even partial. We drove by the hotel again later that night and it appears they may have booked it out to someone else. No apologies, no offer of even a little refund. Horrible customer service. Dirty room, lacking view and unwilling to help in our predicament. Avoid!

We forgot our iPad ,and recieved a call From Bonny at the travel lodge that they found it . We coordinated shipping and Bonny sent out in a very timely fashion . Thank you so much! Great service !

Stayed here for 3 nights. Woke up the first say to a dead car battery, with no jumper cables ! Owners we amazing and did not hesitate to get us theirs. Beautiful view,walkable to food, coffee shops, gift shops.

Wonderfully friendly and helpful check-in person. We were looked after super well.

Front desk is not open 24 hrs as web page says and we are sleeping in our car

The property was fine. The cleanliness was fine. The staff were great. However the people upstairs stomped back and forth all night long both nights of our stay. I caked the front desk and they addressed the issue the first night. We got 4.5 hours of sleep before it started again, so I just got up. Day 2 they were at it again. I woke up at 4am and called the front desk to ask them to address the issue, but the phone just rang and rang. I banged on the ceiling and they settled down, but then it started again at 5 am. At 8 am i went to the front desk to talk to them about it but the woman there said she was not the manager and that they recieved no call. I called. I was upset and asked them to give me a discount or something to make it better and she said she would talk to the manager. I have recieved no communication. I don't blame them for crappy guests. But i do have a problem with them not answering the phone. I finally sell fell back asleep but woke up exhausted. I don't usually leave feedback unless it's good, but this situation was no good.

Great property and way better than pictures. Staff was a bit rude.

We had a great room and tremendous service. After we left we realized we had forgotten a camera battery and charger in the room. We called and Penelope ran up to the room and retrieved it while still on the phone. After we arranged for a box and shipping she sent it to us carefully packaged. There is a small park across from the hotel where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and great view of the bay from the room. It was a great value which I would recommend to anyone. We hope to return again soon.

The hotel is right across the street from whale & wave watching and down the street from shopping. Several nature spots are a close drive away. The bed was super comfy. Room was more modern than I expected. Everyone was friendly at the hotel, always ready with whatever we needed. Plus the elevator was priceless. We will absolutely be staying here again.

The travelogue is in walking distance to the little town of Depoe Bay. No bad view from your room. A older hotel with updates. Clean and smell good. Microwave and small fridge to help stay longer.

If you’re looking for a great location and value, consider this hotel. It’s very close to the main part of Depoe Bay- very convenient. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Only downside was we couldn’t find any air conditioning, but there was a ceiling fan. It has elevators, and the price was more than reasonable!

Clean, spacious and affordable hotel close to the beach and other nearby attractions in Depoe Bay. We highly recommend it.

I had a mixed experience. The room had a great ocean view, the fireplace was excellent, the room we stayed in had a Jacuzzi Hot Tub that was well taken care of and was very nice! In addition, the people running it are very nice. The room was clean and updated. The hotel is in walking distance of Depoe Bay and just a short walk to everything. The cons? The bed was advertised as a queen bed, but was actually a Full. I enjoy cuddling my wife, but it felt a bit cramped. The bed itself was not soft, although I've been in worse. The town is safe, but we were on the first floor. The sliding door to the balcony has no screen door and leaving it open all night is sketchy; people and wild animals can come right in. We had a cute family of Raccoons visit, which was incredible to watch. If we left the door open to listen to the ocean, they would have been in our room too. There was no AC, and combining that with being unable to leave the sliding door open, the fireplace generated too much natural heat to be on for ambience. The noise factor of neighbors next to us and above us, in addition to being next to the doorway leading up to the parking lot, did cause some grief. Fortunately, everyone quieted down at nights so we could sleep; until about 8am every morning when upstairs sounded like it was always being renovated. They took away the Hot Tub and Continental Breakfast that used to be a part of the Hotel. Unfortunate.

Small language barrier. Continental breakfast consists of Twinkies, granola bars, and nasty coffee. Rooms were nice with good views.

Only granola bars for breakfast. TV had issues. Ocean view, yes, but also constant traffic fron Hwy 101. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff.
