This is an old motel that has been renovated, but they did a good job of making it nicer. Everything in the room seems to work and the room was pleasant, if small. Perfectly fine place to get a night's sleep when on the road and a great value. Appears to be enough free parking out front. Common Block Brewing is right next door - good food and beer.

The motel is obviously old but well care for, some attention should be taken to salt the parking lot. I fell in a patch of black ice. A little interior paint, caulking, etc., would add to the looks, but for $65 who could expect more?

The owner was helpful and accommodating. We had a nice walk downtown and saw the local shops and nice people. 4 stars because the ice machine has been broken for 2 years. Otherwise, nice.

Clean, close to Amtrak station. Main street had fun shops and restaurants, with all those places walkable from the hotel. The staff were very nice. The hotel needs remodeling, which is obviously in the plan because they had new flooring material stacked in the lobby. No coffee though. It would be nice to have coffee in morning at least.

Where to begin? Parking lot was a skating rink, the shower had no pressure, 2nd day the housekeeper woke me up, the third day the smoke alarm woke me up. The walls are paper thin, cannot control the TV, on/off or volume with the remote, the only vending machine is a soda one, no snacks. No breakfast, even with no COVID restrictions, no restaurants close by for breakfast, but for 50 bucks a night you get what you pay for, also the pet fee is the lowest.

This is a pit stop on the way to Burning Man. I have stayed here many times going back to when it was a Best Western. It is ia well used, convenient hotel. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad either so for what we need it works. Always clean and convenient. Check in fast and friendly.

Was nice and warm with the heater, my room was very clean and comfortable, great central location to downtown for checking out the retail shops, and restaurants. Have stayed here before, and will come back.

The room was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. Appeared to have had some water damage as there was a large bubble in the paint on the top of the wall next to a bed (no water in it). At night the gnats swarm at your door and as you enter your room they come in and end up getting all over your bed and pillows. Also there was a TV remote in the bedroom, however it does not work the tv. We called the office from the phone in the room as it appears to work but no one answered. We had to call from our cell phone to get them to answer. No one ever showed up to assist us. Apparently there is a second remote that works the tv that you have to request from the office. When booking, I asked the gal to match the internet price and she did over the phone, however when they email your confirmation they did not include pricing and so when I went to pay at check in my bill was $100.00 more but I couldn’t refer to my email as the price I was quoted was not in the email confirmation. Our cleaning ladywas amazing and always helpful. The water pressure is amazing.

The room was incredibly overpowering with chlorine smell. The towels we drenched in chemical smell. We had to leave the room open for hrs to try to clear the smell. Apart from that, the room was big. Which was nice

The room smelled like smoke and urine. The carpet was disgusting we didn’t take our shoes off until we got in bed. There was a dirty washcloth hanging in the shower. Not worth the money. The check in process was fine.

The reviews say the rooms are clean but they are far from it. The floors are disgusting. The first room we had the floor was completely black with stains. The second was a little better but not much. I don’t mind the room being dated but man get rid of the carpet in the rooms if you can’t keep them clean.

The person checking us in was defensive and did not explain things we asked about. They scanned our credit card a second time and said that it was to verify that it matched what we made the reservation with. It was not clear what that meant and we were not sure if they had all of our information and could use the card fraudulently. We haven't seen any charges on our account, but we felt uncomfortable. The room was extremely small, but relatively clean. Also, I expected a hair dryer and iron in the room, but they weren't. I was told that you can get a hair dryer on request, and I did finally get one. There was a microwave in the room, but no cups that wouldn't melt in it.

The Maverick is an old motel and shows wear and tear. They have these weird metal bed surrounds that you bump your feet into and the bed made metallic squeaky sounds but only on my side. But for one night in a small town, it was fine.

I stayed two nights here, and I'd definitely stay again. The bed was comfortable, with a firm but not hard mattress; pillows were a bit plumper and firmer than I'd like, but flexible enough to allow good sleeping. Blankets a bit thin, but the heat in the room worked quite well. No problems with Internet, which isn't always the case with motel wi-fi. The place is right downtown, but was reasonably quiet, and traffic wasn't bad at all even before 9 a.m. on a weekday.

I got there really late at night and appreciated still being able to be helped by a real person right away. The bed was very nice and super comfortable compared to many I've stayed at. I hated the metal frame which would make a loud noise when you accidentally hit it with your feet. It was a complete box that didn't leave room for your feet to slide under so we hit it often - getting on and off the bed. The facility was clean, easy to find, and had a very friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay.

We liked our stay at this hotel. The inside of our room was very clean. There are lot of bugs on the outside of the property. They seem to be harmless but get inside the room. So we needed to keep the room closed, even momentarily. This is not the fault of the property. Southern Oregon has lot of bugs. They clean the outside of the property as well. They missed cleaning the room on 1 of the 4 nights we stayed there. The square footage of the rooms was too small. The price per night was low comparatively so it worked out. There were too many rules to follow here and we did follow them. The owner was kind enough to accommodate a request we made. There is a top notch pizza place, coffee shop in the vicinity. The veggie pizza we had was yum. Some homeless people walking around in the area scared us. But mostly they seem to be harmless. There are freight trains honking horns at night. We had white noise machine so it turned out to be ok. Don't know what's up in this area but many hotels seem to have a metal cover to the bottom of the beds. We kept stubbing our feet to that. We totally enjoyed our trip to crater lake. Bit far from the southern entrance but we hit highway speeds.

I was told that you can get a hair dryer on request, and I did finally get one. There was a microwave in the room, but no cups that wouldn't melt in it.

The person checking us in was defensive and did not explain things we asked about. They scanned our credit card a second time and said that it was to verify that it matched what we made the reservation with. It was not clear what that meant and we were not sure if they had all of our information and could use the card fraudulently. We haven't seen any charges on our account, but we felt uncomfortable. The room was extremely small, but relatively clean. Also, I expected a hair dryer and iron in the room, but they weren't. Check in lady was VERY rude and sarcastic. No name tag, i asked about how safe the area is at night wnd then she said do you want to stay here or not. Then she put us in a room with no working cold water, then "upgraded" us from our king room to a two queen room.

This is a pit stop on the way to Burning Man. I have stayed here many times going back to when it was a Best Western. It is ia well used, convenient hotel. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad either so for what we need it works. Always clean and convenient. Check in fast and friendly.

Place was reasonable. I wasn’t a fan of the surprise pet fee when we checked in. The fact that it was per night instead of a flat rate was odd to me. The deposit for incidentals was outrages too, twice the amount of any other place I’ve stayed, including much nicer places. Overall the motel served its purpose for two nights. It was just a place to stay while we hiked and explored the area. Like I said, there was just the surprises I didn’t like. Oh, also asking for an extra towel wasn’t the easiest process either…

An additional pet fee was added even though I did t have a pet. I didn’t think it was worth disputing since I had already been in the lobby about their vending machine that ate my money. The guy at the front didn’t seem to care. Otherwise the room was fine.

The property apparently was updating flooring, there were many boxes of flooring in the check-in lobby area. The neighborhood seemed a bit unsafe. I was heckled and yelled at by a homeless person as I was entering and leaving the lobby. The room we had was in good condition and looked and smelled clean. Overall the hotel was a good value for the accomodations.

Was nice and warm with the heater, my room was very clean and comfortable, great central location to downtown for checking out the retail shops, and restaurants. Have stayed here before, and will come back.

This is an old motel that has been renovated, but they did a good job of making it nicer. Everything in the room seems to work and the room was pleasant, if small. Perfectly fine place to get a night's sleep when on the road and a great value. Appears to be enough free parking out front. Common Block Brewing is right next door - good food and beer.

The lobby was not open which left us outside waiting for someone to answer the bell. Breakfast wass not served as it was advertised. Our shower was clogged to the point of not being able to use and the staff rolled her eyes at me multiple times. For the price i guess it was a fair stay but I would've at least liked the shower to work.

This hotel is very minimalistic. They are much more expensive than the hotels in neighboring cities, but they charge more because of location. There is not a breakfast or anything special. The beds are hard, and the system needs to be updated. It works for a 1 night stay, if nothing else is close.

Clean, close to Amtrak station. Main street had fun shops and restaurants, with all those places walkable from the hotel. The staff were very nice. The hotel needs remodeling, which is obviously in the plan because they had new flooring material stacked in the lobby. No coffee though. It would be nice to have coffee in morning at least.

Staffs are great and accommodating but when we arrived at the reserved room, we xan smell the bleach which is too strong and unhealthy to the lungs. There's no iron, hair dryer and coffee is served at the office from 7am to 10am. Coffee is not strong enough for me, no decaf or tea.

For the price I didn't expect much and they delivered. The beds despite the super cheap and weird aluminum side panels so they don't have to clean under the beds (not that it would keep it from getting to dirty under there). So the chipped sink and banged up counter edges not so bad. For the price workable. That one of the beds was made but full of grit and some food scraps was less than ideal and the water damage spot on the ceiling isn't a hard fix for how visible and off putting it is. Oh and all but one of the led lights was burned out, which is ... odd. So, honestly not terrible for the price, The beds when self were comfortable and if you don't move much when you sleep they won't make that crazy noise. Just lost the we're cheap and fast, the bed didn't look used so we just made it up lottery. However I would not have booked had it had a more honest rating (6 ish) instead of 7.7 so doing my part to change that.

This place was amazing. Truly, really close to the river. Great staff. Exceptional services, ten out of ten on the scale. For sure, I recommend it to anybody. And everybody, anybody with a family traveling for vacation, leisure and or business. Places top tier, definitely top shelf, recommended one million out of ten
