I had a very disappointing stay at SpringHill Suites Pittsburgh North Shore. I saw a mouse in my room around 11 PM and immediately called the front desk. They moved me to another room, but that was the only response. When I reported the issue to the manager and requested a refund, I was told that only the second night of my two-night stay would be refunded, and only if I left immediately, before the 11 AM checkout time. The manager offered no apology. Finding a mouse in my room was upsetting, and the way management handled my complaint made the experience even worse. Very poor customer service.

This place was awful. The room they gave us smelled terrible, like a mixture of cheap cleaning supplies and old vomit; the hallway didn't smell much better. The people at the front desk were inattentive. There's a shady vibe to the hotel and we felt uncomfortable in that environment. I should've realized ahead of time that this was a low-grade version of the Marriotts I'm used to, as I tried for days to call the front desk but the phone was always off the hook (they didn't answer my online messages either). And don't even get me started about the $27 parking in an unmaintained lot. This is a sorry excuse for a hotel. The Marriott chain should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this.
