Great location, accommodating staff, awesome beach view, clean and spacious room, great shower water pressure, just a few steps from the beach. We also liked that it was away from the main boardwalk area. I noticed the pool could use a clean, but we were there for the beach so it didn’t matter. Also the breakfast area was closed, but we found a couple great brunch spots. (And FYI they have a bar downstairs, but they don’t serve on Sunday;))

I liked the ease of access to the beach front without having to pay beachfront prices.The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything I needed.lots of shops and restaurants nearby .very quiet at night was able to rest well.i guess the only con I have would have to be the laundry facilities need some updating that's about it.

The hotel is smaller. Nice little bar at front desk. Pool area was clean and well maintained. 100 ft from beach walkway and sand shower. Only thing I disliked is the food ads that were left stuck in my door each morning. Overall I would stay there again. For the money, well worth the rate charged.

I stayed in an oceanfront room with 2 queen beds. Spacious and very clean. Open the sliding glass door to the balcony and there’s the pool, the street, then the ocean. This is an older, classic-style beach hotel. They’ve clearly worked hard to remodel and update it. No carpeting - the floors are wood-look vinyl plank and the bathroom is updated with new fixtures. The pillows and beds are clean & comfortable. The fridge is larger than most hotel refrigerators and there’s a microwave which I never used. The room safe is tucked away near the microwave. Some amenities need updating. The towels and washcloths are threadbare. The lock on my balcony door was broken. The door handle is worn with use. There’s a bright security light on the balcony that comes on at night; you’ll need to close the blackout curtains to try to block it. When I closed the curtains I found a piece of dirty, plastic molding propped in the corner. The AC worked well; a newer wall-mounted thermostat was dead as a doornail. There is plenty of parking on site. When you check in, there are extra charges for the key, security deposits, etc. I was told that these extra fees will be returned 3-7 days after I check out. Your room won’t be cleaned if your stay is short unless you request it, for an extra fee. Cabana Shores is clean and comfortable. I just needed a shower and a place to sleep. I feel like this could go from a C+ to a B+ hotel easily with some attention to small but important details.

Staff are welcoming,, facility very clean,, However the elevator is not climate controlled so it can be very suffocating riding it to your room other than taking the stairs. The rooms have hardwood floors in which in our room there may have been just a wee bit of sand in the floor around the beds that may have been missed during a clean,, but it was understand giving that it is a beach front hotel. Overall my room was clean, cool, and comfortable. Nice room to stay.

The outside is very run down and while this is listed as a hotel it is more of a motel. The elevator is the creakiest thing I’ve ever heard so I opted for the stairs after the first ride. The inside of the room appeared nice but I had some issues with the cleanliness. I didn’t get settle into my room until almost midnight and upon going to bed I found curly black hairs on my pillow and sheets. I switched to the other bed in my room and there were crumbs in the sheets. I found the same curly black hairs on the bathroom counter. My issue with this “hotel” is that the quality and the cost do not match. I did come on a holiday weekend so the price was inflated but just spend your money elsewhere. You can get better quality for the same price.

Got to the room and was met by a puddle of water from the fridge. Went to call the front desk, but there’s no phone in the room tried calling from my cell phone. No one answered, went out into the hallway grab some towels off of housekeeping rack to clean up the floor. The floor was Filthy. The towel were thread bare. Also only one bath towel per one person for two days. Expedia says there is there is a cook to order breakfast available, a restaurant, and that you are beachfront. This hotel is across a highway from the ocean, there is no restaurant and no breakfast available. They even have a sign in the hotel pointing to the breakfast room. They don’t even have coffee in the lobby. A hotel employee claimed there was a restaurant a year ago . The only good thing about the hotel was the young woman from Jamaica that was at the front desk during the evening, she was the only employee that was nice.

Employees were super nice and professional! Location was excellent! Lobby was clean and nice as well but the hotel room needed a lot repaired (curtains had holes, bed frames were peeling, hand towel racks falling off wall, closet would get lodged when fully open, etc.). The room was tidy but not clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cabana Shores. My husband and I were looking for a quiet ocean front hotel to spend a few days together before our big family beach trip and we found exactly what we wanted. Our room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We loved the short easy walk to the beach and the pool area was very comfortable. If you are looking for a quiet stay on the beach,tjis is ypur place!

Nice lobby area. Easy parking. AC worked really well. Beach access was a huge perk. Very quiet and beautiful residential area. Beach wasn’t crowded at all in this particular area of North Myrtle. Comfortable bed. The pictures are way nicer than what it actually is in person. The room could be better: Stained sheets, big chunks of paint on wall and near baseboards cracked and chipping off, small specks of mold all over one wall, pipe leaking under sink, not cleaned very thoroughly (just out of reach spaces ignored). Wouldn’t stay here again, but overall average and a really nice area! Location is superior to Myrtle, which just a few miles south. Still close to boardwalk.

This was a quiet location and just a few steps from a beach with only one other person on it! The area was calm and peaceful. The room was nice and clean; however, the bathroom baseboards were ripped off and there was some mold in crevice of the shower. The staff was very kind, even when busy! I would stay here again.

No complaints, clean hotel friendly staff,close to the beach (with lifeguard if that is important). The only thing negative that comes to mind is as with all beach front properties maintenance tends to be lagging (stained chairs, broken baseboard, chipped table, hard time closing the door, and slow elevator)

Charged a 150 dollar security deposit but large chunks of paint peeling off walls in the bathroom. Bottom of shower not sealed so floor soaked after using. Areas throughout living area where painting was never completed. Had to figure out the perfect way to jiggle the front door handle to allow it to actually shut. Staying for 2 nights but only 2 towels and wash cloths given for more than 1 person staying. Couldn't even get more when noticed because lobby closed at 830 at night even though supposed to be open till 11. Tried again in the morning at 8am when they were supposed to open but lobby still closed at 830. Had to wash the best I could with my hands after being on a ballfield all day long! In all my years of travel ball, this was the worst experience!!! Didnt expect the Hilton but didnt expect paying the same price for what I got!!! Definitely DO NOT Recommend!!!

We have stayed here before and it was 10/10. This time, our room had a few opportunities for improvement….the shower floor was crack and had an actual hole in it. The ceiling in the actual room looks as though it had previously had a leak, the patch job was an eyesore and wasn’t done very well. Someone just slapped some plaster up there and called it a day. The door didnt lock and we had to bother the associate downstairs to come and show us how to fix it. I wouldn’t pay $300 to stay there again- if every room was as nice as the first time we stayed here, maybe.

I would not recommend. I mean, i guess you get what you pay for. 5 days/4 nights, room wasn't cleaned a single time. I had to ask for replacrment bath towels and toilet paper. Couldn't utilize the balcony at all as there was water dripping continuously from the unit above. Safe in the room didn't work. Asked for a late checkout, worker at the counter immediately said no without even looking in the computer. I believe the person at the desk also doubled as the bartender because there was never anyone there working. Never saw anyone eating at the restaurant either.

The staff is amazing! The gentleman who is in charge of cleaning around the property has a big job to do! The hallways do need a little more attention as they could have been cleaner, but I do understand. My room was great. The bed was fabulous and I slept very well. I would stay there again.

No staff on site! We booked through Expedia and were not told that no one would be here to check us in! We called the number and still no reply at anytime or number. I got the message after checking the fine print AFTER I already paid! It did. It mention any of this through the Expedia website! Check it yourself! At least tell the guests before they pay that if they are arriving late that you will not be on staff to check them in. We had to book another hotel this evening and here it is past 1am and our baby is still waiting on a bed to sleep in while we wait in the lobby! Poor, poor service!!

The condition of hotel room could have been better. There was a broken light fixture in bathroom that should have been better repaired. The couch was in terrible condition. The front clerk entered day of departure wrong so we were locked out and housekeeping didn’t have towels for us. I would have liked an apology but that didn’t happen. She could barely speak English.

Hotel is ocean front and all rooms angle off the side of the bldg so people have an ocean view. There is no business center. The hotel sits in a very nice and safe neighborhood and there is a beach walk directly across the street that runs parallel to the beach which was very nice. It is a short drive to a main highway for restaurants. I believe this hotel offers good value for the $.

Location is perfect if you are looking for a quiet getaway on the beach. Its a 2 min walk across the street to a nice private beach. You will need to drive to get to any of the attractions. It is an older building but extremely clean and everyone was very friendly. The pool is small but very well kept and open late. I was on the 5th floor oceanview and it wad perfect. To sum it up--nothing fancy but clean, safe and the location makes it a worthwhile stay if you are looking for a relaxing get away on the beach. The only complaint i have is that like the building, the only elevator is super super slow.

Great little place. It’s a mile or two north of the busy section of Ocean Blvd; that may not be what you’re looking for if you brought a bunch of Mardi Gras beads, but if you’re looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay, this is it.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, across a low traffic street to a clean uncrowned beach. Cabana shores is an older property but has been refurbished to modern standards. Good bed, tv w/ direct tv w/ max, nice shower. All in , a good stay

This is a hidden gem and we were so impressed with the stay. Rooms were all clean and beautiful. We had an ocean front and so we had the beautiful view of the ocean along with the pool. The staff were all sweet and kind. The staff member Prince was completely outstanding and serves the best drinks on the ocean!. The cleaning staff were friendly and always made sure that we had all the towels and linens needed. They were always out vacuuming the halls and cleaning the lobby. Nice large cold pool to relax in and they also have some music playing lightly in the background. And if you get a chance get their wings from Ocean 57 bar and grill inside, mmmmm so delicious. Thank you to all the staff here for making this a small piece of paradise. Lastly, you’re only minutes away from great food and shops. We love this place and will definitely be back.

Perfect location. Not fancy, but a great view of the ocean, nice pool area, nice little bar area in the lobby. Wished it had restaurant open. Staff communication could be better. And it would be nice if you could get the room cleaned during the stay, rather than having to hand towels and garbage through the door. But the location and price make up for any shortcomings.

Nice stay on a calm part of the Myrtle beach. Easy access to beach. Hotel is clean, friendly straff, good beds, nice bathroom. Had a 2 night stay, and no rom cleaning/change towels. Front desk assisted with extra towels. Balcony had a fake grass mat, that was wet at all times because of AC. The ocean 57 bar&bistro was closed for lunch during our stay. Hotel charged 20 dollars for early check-in at 2pm. Check in is at 4pm. We would stay again:)
