We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially its location away from the downtown Myrtle Beach crowds but still an easy, pleasant walk of just a few blocks to the beach. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were a big hit with the kids! On the downside, we were disappointed that housekeeping didn't service our room during our three-night stay and the room humidity was uncomfortably high without a dehumidifier option.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially its location away from the downtown Myrtle Beach crowds but still an easy, pleasant walk of just a few blocks to the beach. Staff was excellent; but was under rehab - which was much needed. The 2nd floor was under reconstruction. But all the other floors were also in serious need for reconstruct. The carpeting in the hall was dirty and stained. The elevator wall had a fairly large segment missing. The hot tub was roped off so it could not be used. If they had let it be known that the hotel was being upgraded I would have not reserved.

The bed was very comfortable. I made good use of the ice machine and the desk and desk chair made working remotely very easy. I loved the gym and laundry facilities. This location is in walking distance to a gourmet supermarket, Health food store, Thai restaurant, Upscale Grille, TGI Fridays, Ramen, Drug Store and the beach! The free breakfast waffles and coffee made for easy mornings.

The staff could not have been nicer. It is a pet friendly hotel and we stayed in a mini-suite with our dog and cat, and it was perfect for us. We had a fridge, microwave and sink. The beach was a 3 block walk - the only mild downside being that the hotel is not on the beach, but we knew that going in. There is an indoor pool which is great for thunderstorm days - we had a few passing showers during our stay.

A great variety of breakfast choices and available until 10 AM. Everyone was eager to help when we had a need. There was no noise from the construction and remodeling. They were redoing the 1st and 2nd floors. Elevator worked good, maybe a little slow, but I am too. They have no weight limit on your pet like most other places do. This is our second time this year to stay there. It will always be my go to place in Myrtle Beach.

Lobby and room were great, clean, and a very helpful and friendly staff. Outside around the property was a little dirty with some trash and cigarette butts left on the ground in the smoking areas, lots of ants. We opted not to use the indoor pool only because it was so hot in the pool room. Overall it was a nice place to stay even with renovations being done.

Our stay wasn’t great at all. We were on the top floor where there were several pitcher trash cans and other containers catching water leaks from the ceiling. This caused an amity smell and damp feeling area. There were several families on the third floor with over packed rooms which also allowed children in pool area and gym area unattended. Leaving facilities overfilled with no room for others. The staff seemed unbothered by the complaints.

Very unkept. Tiles coming off the outside roof. Elevators were extremely dirty. The ceiling in our bedroom had a huge spot covering a 5 × 5 area that was either mold or mildew. Dead rat in the parking lot. Carpet in hall was horrible and covered in bleach stains. I do know they were redoing the carpet and waiting on supplies but the other things there was no excuse for. Will not stay here again.

Someone’s hair long black, on the inside of tub, on shower curtain, on floor. Right side of bed broken. Slept what I could have, on a slant informed front desk when checking out at 4 AM the gentleman wrote it down, but no one ever contacted me. Less than four hours sleep and I have to drive 10 hours home. The most horrific hotels stay I ever experienced.

The rooms did not smell well. The air conditioner was loud and always sounded like water was cycling though and might leak. (No water leaked). I had a handicapped accessible room. Behind the shower seat was hair stuck on the wall that would not rinse away with water. It looked like someone shaved and left the hair on the wall. The breakfast room seemed to run out of food items by 0900 and items were not replenished.

The bad: When we went to check in, we were then notified that there was a problem with our room & they had to switch our suite to 2 rooms that connected via door. I feel like that is something they should contact you for and let you know beforehand. A suite and two normal rooms are two completely different things. Was not happy about that. The floors looked clean, but they were apparently filthy because once we took our shoes off we noticed it had a sticky feeling to it and our 2 year old twins feet got black very quickly (once we noticed the floors were sticky we went to wash their feet & put socks on them & that's when we noticed they were completely black.) Tv stand was an eye sore, half the decorative trim on the front was ripped off. One of the bed farmes was broken, and the bed would lift up off of it if you sat on the edge on one side. One of the tvs was broken & would not turn on. There was construction going on everywhere, inside & outside.. You couldn't use the front entrance because of it. There were wet floors in the lobby area where water was leaking out from the roof. Also, when I made the reservation, I chose *Pay At Check In, but they had already charged my card before we even got there. The good: The staff were all really nice. When we called the front desk & told them the tv wasn't working, someone brought a new one & swapped it out pretty quickly. The room was nice other than the few things I mentioned above. All in all, it was just okay.

The room had an old fashioned air conditioner that used water. It made the room smell dank and musty. Since all the rooms had the same A/C, it was pointless to change rooms. The A/C was also incredibly noisy and I could not sleep without earplugs. I paid a fortune for the room and it felt like a cheap motel. I would never stay here again for that reason.

The staff met our expectations. The hotel itself was good. However, the room reeked of musty smell. We went and bought air fresheners and dehumidifiers that couldn’t come close to changing the Oder. The room was so moist, everything was damp and sticky. We checked out a day early because my husband’s allergies were on overload.

I’m normally a person who is pretty relaxed when it comes to staying at a hotel. Nothing really bothers me, HOWEVER, this property was not clean, my room was dirty, I had spots on the towels, the shower was not cleaned properly. The floor was filthy. It smelled bad in the hotel. Again, I have NEVER left a bad review about any hotel EVER because it takes a lot for me to be unhappy. This was probably the worst stay but hey, I’m happy that I at least had a hotel to get some rest in during my visit after driving 6 hours straight. I couldn’t get past the smell. It was rough. But the next time I’ll pass on this hotel.

We had an overall good stay at the Hampton. Parking was easy, check-in was a breeze, and the staff was very friendly! However, the first room smelled horrible and had mold in it. The staff quickly switched our rooms and upgraded us to a deluxe suite, free of charge. That room was very clean and smelled great. The elevators and overall property appear to be older but have been renovated to some extent. The breakfast was above average and the complimentary coffee was a nice touch. Thank you.

Bad smells as soon as you come off the elevator, musty atmosphere, water stains everywhere on the ceilings (in the rooms, the hallways, etc.), noisy and scary elevators, and filthy floors in the rooms (couldn't take off my slippers for a moment). The staff were very friendly and the area around the hotel had a lot of choices/convinces being it's right off of Business 17. Not a hotel I would book again, unfortunately .

Our experience was great! Check in was smooth and easy. The personal were very courteous and helpful.They were prompt in assisting us with items requested after check in. The room was spacious and clean. Even though they were pet friendly, we didn't realize it until later.

Only complaint I have is my room has a wall adjoined to the elevator. It’s loud. Staff is always super nice. Rooms are always super clean.

My husband and I stayed here for a week vacation. Overall we really enjoyed this hotel. It's waiting to be remodeled and it needs it. It's still a nice hotel, just some things need updating. The location is really nice and quiet. It's three streets over from the beach and close to a lot of restaurants and mini golf. We stayed on the first floor by the laundry room so I was concerned it would be noisy, but it was really quiet. The continental breakfast was really nice. My only complaint was the lady who checked us in seemed like we inconvenienced her by checking in. She was unfriendly and did not tell us you have to request housekeeping. On day three of no housekeeping I finally went and asked another lady at the front desk. This lady was very kind and helpful. We were informed you need to request housekeeping at the front desk by 10am. We did this twice however, the second time we didn't receive any housekeeping. It's convenient when you request housekeeping you can tell them what time works best for you and what you need replaced. Over all it was a really great hotel for the price. I know cockroaches are an issue at myrtle Beach but I was so happy we did not see any at this hotel!

Specifically requested the room with the jetted tub to rest after the long drive. As soon as we got in the room, I started the tub and the jets did not work. Front desk basically just told u "sorry." The next morning, I opened the blackout shade to let the morning sun in and the shade completely fell from the roller. It had been broken previously due and was attempted to fix with duct tape (have pictures.) We called the front desk and they said someone would be by around noon-1 to fix it. We left the room to give them time and space to fix the shade. We got back around 2:30, and the shade was still in the floor where we left it. No one ever came by before we checked out to fix it. We had to use a blanket to block light from the parking lot at night.

Room 220 shares a wall with the elevators, we could hear everytime the elevator was called to each floor, when it arrived and when it returned to it final floor. The beds were broken and falling off its foundation and the room door didnt close. I requested service after entering the room, maintenance fixed the bed and serviced the door. I called and spoke with the manager, and he thanked me for calling with my concerns.

Despite the hotel undergoing construction the staff made the stay enjoyable. Every staff member we encountered were very nice and accommodating. No questions asked we asked for a bit of an extension on checkout and this was also arranged. Definitely would stay again!

My wife and I choose this hotel because it's in the northern part of Myrtle Beach, close to the beach, and with good restaurants nearby. The hotel has a good parking area, is clean, and has a mid-range level with good rooms. We selected a suite, but we didn’t know that it's located near the emergency stairs. Something happened: at 6 a.m. on Saturday, someone opened our room door. I woke up startled and asked loudly, "Who's there?" Since I couldn't see the door from my bed for being in a suite room, the person left and ran down the stairs. We could hear the noise. Very frightened, I called the front desk, but the attendant didn't believe me. I decided to go down and speak to her in person, but she didn't resolve the situation and asked me to wait for the manager, who wouldn't be on duty until 9:30 a.m. My wife and I packed our bags and left the room to wait in the breakfast area. Later, the manager moved us to another room and apologized for the incident. We stayed another night and then left. I wonder how someone opened our bedroom door, since it has a key card mechanism? Check in 4:00 arrived 3:15 clerk advised can not check in till exactly 4:00 left came back same clerk advised exactly 4:00 again! Lady same problem was furious clerk was just smiling and grinning at her! At 4:15 room finally ready clerk handed me keys without saying a word no thank you! Sorry for delay absolutely nothing! We were late where we were going had no time to spare! Poor management for expensive cost! Never again Hampton Inn!😡

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, especially its location away from the downtown Myrtle Beach crowds but still an easy, pleasant walk of just a few blocks to the beach. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were a big hit with the kids! On the downside, we were disappointed that housekeeping didn't service our room during our three-night stay and the room humidity was uncomfortably high without a dehumidifier option.

The bed was very comfortable. I made good use of the ice machine and the desk and desk chair made working remotely very easy. I loved the gym and laundry facilities. This location is in walking distance to a gourmet supermarket, Health food store, Thai restaurant, Upscale Grille, TGI Fridays, Ramen, Drug Store and the beach! The free breakfast waffles and coffee made for easy mornings.

The staff could not have been nicer. It is a pet friendly hotel and we stayed in a mini-suite with our dog and cat, and it was perfect for us. We had a fridge, microwave and sink. The beach was a 3 block walk - the only mild downside being that the hotel is not on the beach, but we knew that going in. There is an indoor pool which is great for thunderstorm days - we had a few passing showers during our stay.

Friendly Check inn! Great breakfst the first day ,the secound day no eggs at 7am ? Asked for coins for laundry machines - only cards! We take ?! Laundry and dryer only works with coins? So why you offer laundry and the reception has no coins available? Not again for me, i stay per mounth in around 5-Hotels but this never happened !

The location is excellent. We walked to the beach and restaurants. Helpful staff. Room was outdated and tired looking but they are undergoing renovations. Toilet water ran on and off all night. Loud AC. Good breakfast.

A great variety of breakfast choices and available until 10 AM. Everyone was eager to help when we had a need. There was no noise from the construction and remodeling. They were redoing the 1st and 2nd floors. Elevator worked good, maybe a little slow, but I am too. They have no weight limit on your pet like most other places do. This is our second time this year to stay there. It will always be my go to place in Myrtle Beach.

We had an overall good stay at the Hampton. Parking was easy, check-in was a breeze, and the staff was very friendly! However, the first room smelled horrible and had mold in it. The staff quickly switched our rooms and upgraded us to a deluxe suite, free of charge. That room was very clean and smelled great. The elevators and overall property appear to be older but have been renovated to some extent. The breakfast was above average and the complimentary coffee was a nice touch. Thank you.
