Econo Lodge Black Hills

The location is currently being renovated. The lobby is closed, and there was poor signage telling people where to go. Got yelled at by a few construction workers because I missed a sign. Construction debris was everywhere, including stairwells. The elevator was also out of order because of the construction. Walking to my room, I found it quite odd that almost every room was wide open. Mine was not, but the room next door was. The room was extremely warm. I turned on the air conditioner, and it was so loud you couldn’t sleep while it was running. A previous customer shoved something into the peep hole, and put a band-aid on the door to the adjoining room. There were gnats or fruit flies in the bathroom. Mattress was horribly firm. Light switch by the door was broken. I’ll be avoiding EconoLodge in the future.

It was Dirty, and there was black trash bags taped on the walls , you could see when walking up to the motel that some windows on the second floor were broke and were taped together. The whole reason I brought my 4 year old grandson there was because the pictures of the motel showed a really nice pool with a big windy slide.. well the whole pool area is tore down. I felt like I brought him to the crack/trap motel!

Same breakfast, just egg patty. Piil closed. Stairways closed. MAJOR renovations

Wasn't aware of the remodel and closed pool or we wouldn't have stayed here. Bathroom and floor weren't clean. Towels were not hung but just thrown in place.

Hotel was under construction and the fumes were so harsh we couldn’t breathe in the hallways. The room had dirty sheets and headboards, no phone. The manger checked us out and cancelled the stay and said he would refund. We were there less than an hour. Would not stay again
