MainStay Suites Knoxville Airport

Absolutely DISGUSTING No pool access, the entire hotel smelled like urine and feces. They refused to service my room, stating they only service rooms once a week, I reserved for only two days. Staff was very rude and inconsiderate and none of the housekeeping staff could speak English.

The room was clean and well stocked. The only issue there was,was the parking. There were at least 8 straight job freight trucks that took up 6 or six parking spots. There is not adequate parking for big trucks

Clean still updating don’t see much change from last year other than new carpet. No knobs on the furniture to open drawers which made them very hard to open, so we left then cracked open to make it easier to open. Looked very bad in the front, small water fountain very dirty cover on top, I felt that could have looked much nicer with cover being off water in there and clean it would have made the hotel look better. Back side all construction materials, workers in and out all day which increased wait time for the elevator. Pool area dirty old chairs no tables pool was covered and looked nasty even if it’s not in season the area doesn’t need to look nasty. Food did not look appealing not many choices at all . I grabbed a couple of muffins packaged and would drink the coffee. This hotel has a lot of potential. Not sure if I would stay there again. Room was very clean.

This property was under a major renovation when we arrived. There was tile replacement in progress which meant dust and equipment in the breakfast/lobby area. We were not informed in advance about the renovation. Not sure if that was a Mainstay oversight or Expedia's but this ended in a very less than ideal experience. The two rooms we reserved were dirty, dusty, needing renovation and seemed very neglected and in very much need of updating. Maybe they should consider not renovating the entire property at the same time?

Friendly staff. Guest laundry was nice. Pet friendly.

The check in was smooth. There was only one EV charging station that was occupied by a gas car which belongs to manager. The person at reception offered that we can charge and the manager can move his truck. However, he came back with may be an excuse that the charging does not work. They kept calling and knocking at the door for checkout. I told them i will take a little longer due to work meeting but it did not help much. Breakfast was average.

Very disappointed in my stay here, the state of my room was in disrepair. Broken cabinets, broken ac cover. Bed was comfortable though. This is my second stay at this location, and twice they have had outside grounds work being done. Noisy and intrusive. I won’t be back for a third. And the pool area was closed and a mess. I would have taken photos but I was not goin to waste my time. Such a shame as this is such a nice area. Will not recommend this property to stay.

They were doing some interior renovations when i was there. Not a bad place if you can get past that. It was quiet and safe.

The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and patio.

There were bugs in the cabinet with the glasses and the glasses and drinkware were very dirty. I checked out 2 hours after I checked in because of these reasons.

Chech in was easy and quick, parking was busy but i think there was a Tennessee football game so i totally understand. Unfortunately when i got into the room that's where it went wrong. Unfortunately there were dirty dishes in the sink, the toilet was dirty and cleaned properly, they left an open pack of razors on the sink, the shower had the last guests shampoo and bar of soap in there. Lastly there was an open can of pear juice on the kitchen counter and when i went to throw it out it was stuck to the counter top.

The property is near restaurants and the parking lot is well lit. Our room was extremely dirty. The mattresses were badly stained. No linens were provided for the pull out sofa. There were dead bugs stuck in the curtains. The air vents were filthy and the door handle to the bedroom was broken. Had it not been so late in the night when we arrived, we would not have stayed there. It was filthy!

Overall it was terrible, however the room had clumps of dirt on the couch and floor as it hadn't been vacuumed before we arrived. The tub also leaked the entire time (would not shut off completely) so we had to hear the water running constantly and it made the room humid and gave it a slight smell. The windows have visible mold growing on them and there were what looked to be poop smeared along the sliding bathroom door on both sides. There also was some yellowish liquid that was dripping down and dried to the wall just outside of the bathroom. As gross as this was for me, the rest of the room wasn't too bad, really. Comfortable bed, good heating/cooling, there were dishes in the cabinets for us to use as well as dishwasher detergent. The bathroom mirror was nice with the lighting behind it and the housekeeping staff was very sweet, kind, patient and helpful when we realized we forgot something in our room after checking out. I think I would stay here again but would immediately check the room and then report any discrepancies with the front desk.

Dirty chairs in room. Dirty floor. Mildew smell in areas

Very dirty inside and outdated rooms are dirty bathrooms peeling paint moldy caulking in tubs ac/heat unit filters look and smell when it’s on like they’ve never been cleaned rooms had musty smell to them

Going into the first room, the room was dirty, the sheets, the comforter and the overlay all had dirt on them one even dried blood. Went down and spoke with desk clerk, they switched us to another room, but she said “ we have a lot of construction workers here, they are pretty dirty, so the rooms get dirty” (everything is white they could’ve bleached it. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels. Never had. I had an issue with how dirty the bed linen was). There was hair strands all over the bathroom floor like it wasn’t even cleaned The free breakfast is a joke, there’s a waffle maker, cereal, and yogurt. The orange juice was so thick like it was straight concentrate.

Room had Black mold. Had to change rooms after we discovered it.

I was highly disappointed in this property. Found shaved hair in our tub and someone’s Bobby pin on our bathroom floor. My bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned prior to my arrival. I will not be returning again.

there was a mouse in my room. Gross

Full kitchen in room

The pullout bet had a big stain in the middle. I booked that because the beds were only full but a pull bed for kids. When we pulled out it was terrible. Told front desk and was told those were actually going to be swamped out today. Lot of good that did. I can handle older looking but if you knew the couches were bad enough that you were replacing them why rent the room with the couch. Buffet didn’t have bowls for hot cereal and not a lot to choose from.

very clean rooms, very spacious, had a kitchen unit. Easy and quick check in, and all the associates were very nice and polite. And eating establishment's were near by.

The light next to the bed was a strobe! There was a single fork for eating utensils. But the room was clean, the kitchen was enough, and the location was convenient.

Room was clean. They had removed couch amd added another queen size bed and the room was not large enough for it. Could not walk in room.

All night we heard trucks backing up and traffic from the third floor.

Room was adequate. There were areas of the room unfinished (bathroom under sink).

Our room has been remodeled. The bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Couch needed to be replaced. They need a reliable maintenance person. Our toilet was not bolted correctly to the floor. And the fan between the two rooms was falling off the wall.

Had an accessible room - the bars and walk-in shower in the bathroom were very helpful. Had 2 beds (were comfortable) but no place to sit other than one desk chair and was a little cramped. Kitchen was helpful and AC worked well. Did fulfill the needs. Could tell there had been some updates but could have used a little more TCL - bathroom door didn't shut all the way. Staff was very nice and everything was clean. Biggest problem was lack of breakfast - almost nothing left with an hour to go. Ended up having to go to a restaurant to get coffee and breakfast. Shouldn't advertise that breakfast is included unless there is more offered.

The desk clerk at check in was friendly and attentive. My room had a kitchenette. The bed was comfy and the pillows were great. The problems seemed to be all related to renovations that were not done well. The countertops seemed like new marble (nice), but the cabinets were cheap wood and falling apart. Caulking around the tub was messy. Bathroom faucet was lose and moved around when turning the water on and off (like it had not been securely fastened to the counter). There were a few drywall patch jobs that were sloppy. The A/C unit…well, the entire plastic housing was detached from the unit and just sat on the floor, exposing the guts of the heater/air conditioner. It worked, but it was just sloppy and potentially unsafe. I got the sense that the owners were trying to up their game to compete with a couple of competitors with brand new properties nearby, but the quality of the work was just sub-par. I wish them well, I really do. If they continue to offer low rates, it might be worth putting up with these kinds of things, the choice is yours.

The staff is phenomenal. My bed was great. Kitchen supplies are lacking but the staff found whatever I needed for me. I’ll be back.

The staff was helpful

This was our second time to stay here and once again surpassed our expectations. Rooms are clean and staff is very polite and professional. This time I had left the lights on over night and the battery was dead and the manager helped jump the car off and stayed and talked for awhile. You just don't get this type of service everyday. I highly recommend this place. We WILL be back.

Staff is excellent!

Lack of communication. They called me on a Friday to say they needed to change my room for tile repairs on Sunday but change didn't hapoen until Tue evening. Then room felt like a downgrade. Other than that not bad

Beds slept great, clean, and close to many things for a quick evening stay.

Was a nice room. Convenient to the airport. Good restaurants close by.

Great location and proximity

Loction to the airport was ideal. Made it easy to get in and out easily.

The room was bigger than I thought it would be for the rate that I paid. The location was convenient for our travels, and quiet for a good night's sleep, yet close to shopping and food. It perfectly suited our needs.

We love our stay here far from busy city so we had a good rest.

Perfect location to get uber to the shed to see a concert. Nice staff, clean

Definitely a Value property. If you're a family, with kids ... You're way ahead. Multi days stays are convenient to Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, Gatlinburg and Cherokee. Full refrigerator, range, dishwasher, many TV channels... Conveniently less than a mile from the Tyson McGee Airport on the Alcoa Highway

Easy access to major roads for the traveling that I needed to do. Room was very clean and well maintained

Room was nice and staff was helpful, but breakfast was really lacking. Only waffle batter (syrup was gone), a few bagels and joghurts left. Shouldn't say that breakfast was included if these are the offerings.

It was clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed. They advertise a hot breakfast, welll that part was a joke. Yes you can get a waffle or cup of coffee hot, but and toast & sometimes donut holes.

I reserved two rooms. Everything was extremely clean except in one room there was a smell- not to overpowering- but there was a smell. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is very small JUST FYI but otherwise it was a comfortable stay.

There were dirty clothes in the room. The room was extremely decrepit and just oddly set up. The carpet was ancient. The bathroom was newer and clean, and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was unexpectedly good.

The staff was so friendly and we had an amazing room with a wonderful view. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed The Shed jukejoint and a fantastic show for Blackberry Smoke and several other guest aswell. Highly recommend this establishment.

Desk staff said the breakfast started at 6am, and I had an early flight, so I came to the lobby at 6am but all that was available was the juices, some bagels and muffins. I wish the rest was available for folks like me that have to get out right away.

Very comfortable bed. The lamp beside the bed didn’t work. No USB ports anywhere. The refrigerator made noises remarkably similar to the noises my dog makes when she is deep cleaning herself. The breakfast was grits, eggs and waffle iron. Overall nicer than most for the price.
