Super 8 by Wyndham Chattanooga/East Ridge

The parking situation was atrocious as there was very few spots and most were blocked by a fence/construction. When asked questions the front desk was rude/rather unhelpful. The rooms were kinda clean but there was a pile of dead bugs in the corner of the bathroom. The parking lot was not well lit and neither was the stairwell which did not feel safe.

Never again. Construction next to the hotel meant there was nowhere to park. There was a brown substance smeared on the walls in the closet. One lamp had no bulb and the other one was burnt out.

Was convient because if parking and location. Ice machine was close by! Place needs sound proofing its close to expressway and people coming in and out made it hard to get a good night sleep from all the noise! Could here people walking above me up to 2 am in the morning!

The rooms were dirty and had roaches. Bed linens were dirty. Construction dumpster taking up 3 parking spaces in front of rooms. Photos on website don't portray an accurate description of the property. Unsafe looking area.

The bathroom had mold all around the tub and shower. The parking lot of the building ws a bunch of pot holes. The parking lot seemed to be roped off for some reason. When i got our of my car to walk in to check in i seriously wnderdd if this place was open or had been shut down. The paint was old and even the sign was coming apart. This was a terrible experience.

We were not told work hazard all around the outside and working women coming and going. The inside of our room was ok but I will not stay here again. Don't if you have kids traveling with you!!!! Front desk lady was very nice. No pool or anything just sleep and go...

Insisting on 50 dollars in cash for a deposit, which was returned the next morning, when there were cigarette burns on rhe bed covering seems ridiculous. I would not book at that hotel again for a guest of mine.

The staff were friendly for the most part. Clerk was not as friendly once i asked to be moved to a different room at check in. She stated I was being given the employee room and just found that odd. So I asked for another room. The room itself was good size. The floors left your feet black. Kinda gross. One of the beds had a medal rod sticking out from the side. Hurt like hell if you hit it getting out of the bed. Exterior sidewalks need a deep cleaning. Lobby basic with no functionality. Not inviting at all. The property is older but should invest in their appearances. If the lobby looks outdated and dirty first impressions are everything so we assume the rooms aren’t much better. I would stay here again however it would be nice to see a personal touch or character about the property that stands out and makes folks remember this motel. Only thing I’ll remember is the awkwardness of the desk clerk. Also please unclog the drains in the shower. I took a shower however felt like a bath due to the tub drained so slow. Had to shut the water off to avoid overfilling the tub. Curb appeal isn’t something this property is known for. Online advertises a swimming pool but that was removed eight years ago according to one of the employees. Should update online. Hotel built next door is seriously was to close for comfortable parking if you park by your room. Invest in your property and guests will come back and repeat over and over. Show some personality. Your investment will reward you.

I wouldn't stay here again. The room was a "non-smoking", but...it had a funky smell...musty/moldy with a hint of old cigarette smoking. Worse? The floors were filthy...I did realize how bad until I got in the shower the next day. A LOT of dirt came off my feet, and I had showered and just put on socks/shoes prior to my drive to this place. The dirt was from the room. The parking lot is a mess...lots of trash (half-eaten hot dog, empty soda bottle, trash bag, various pieces of paper, piles of cigarettes, lots of potholes, etc) present. Add to that - a new hotel is being built by this one. There's a chain link fence VERY close to the parking spots. If you have a full size truck, be ready for a mulit-point turn! The "free" breakfast was also very minimal. If you don't like white bread, don't count on their breakfast. Go somewhere else.

My room had bed bugs, I'd stay away if possible.

The floors were absolutely filthy. The bath mats was black after our shower. Our feet were black.

Very dirty room with cockroaches everywhere, my wife and the kids spent there night in the van because of roaches. Bad service I don’t recommend this motel for humans maybe good for animals.

The staff was friendly, however, when we pulled up, there were 3 police cars outside arresting a man. When we got into our room, we noticed burn marks in the bedspread and the bathroom was disgusting!! It looked like someone smeared feces on the side of the shower in from of the tub that was obviously not cleaned up. The whirlpool tub and shower could have used a good scrubbing and the drain stopper for the tub was all rusted.

We are on our honeymoon and we booked a non smoking room which we did get, but they have a non smoking room above a smoking room so our room smelled heavily of smoke. The room was dirty, stuff was falling off the walls. It was not a great experience at all. We ended up staying at a different hotel because the smell of smoke was so bad and we are traveling with a baby. Front desk staff was great but management was MIA and seemingly couldn't be bothered with any of this. We asked for a refund and they said they will give the paperwork to management which hasn't gotten back to us at all.

they “cut back” on free breakfast, which apparently means granola bar and coffee. the rooms were visibly dirty with easily wipeable food/bodily fluids on doors, handles, toilet and remote. i cleaned it myself so i seen it was minimal effort required to clean yet not done. mold in bathroom, non-working shower handle (continuously turns with no hot/cold indication). staff was nice and helpful though, just wish they took care if the place

Our room was literally nasty and dirty. Everything had spots on it from I presume previous guests and the bathroom was covered in black mold. Back of the bathroom door covered in brown splatters. Toilet not cleaned when we checked in. Didn't even use the shower because of the mold. Slept in a sleeping bag on the bed because I was scared to let my skin touch the bed. Cheap cost but clearly skimping on basic cleaning between guests.

The floors were dirty. There was blood on the floor still there. The room was supposed to be Non-smoking, yet there were cigarette burns all over the top sheet of the bed. This place should be condemned. There are knocks on my door at 3 AM in the morning and police were very busy throughout tonight in this hotel. If you want a nightmare, then book a room in this hotel. I didn't really wanna take photos, because I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I had maybe an hour sleep. Do not book a room here do not stay here. Don't even think about it. I can't believe Expedia would allow this type of a hotel on there website.. if i don’t receive a FULL REFUND from Expedia, then i will have my attorney draw up a lawsuit against Expedia for putting me in harms way!!!!!!

Nasty, air didnt work, janky neighborhood.

Very strong cigarette odor present when arriving. Had to go buy febreeze to be able to tolerate it, as I booked with no refundable insurance.

Check in was quick. Right off the interstate. Room was HOT LIKE A SAUNA. no rooms have the air on at this place. I called and asked for a room with air and thats what i was told. Definitely not worth the $75 a night. We have been on the road for 10 hours and wanted to come and sleep. Had to leave and go sit in ac for an hour until the room cooled off (health problems).

The place was kinda ran down and I guess we had a smoking room. It smelt horrible. The towels and wash cloths need to be replaced. Beds were hard and uncomfortable and definitely old. They did allow pets but you had better watch where you and your pet stepped. The entire surrounding area was piles of Pooh.

Floors were dirty, ac was leaking onto the floor. Walls had streaks and stains on them. Bed was clean but the sheets had holes. Was in a convenient area and didn’t see many people which was nice.

I had no idea the motel is under renovation. Stairwells are delapidated. It smelledl like pot as soon as we walked in to our "non smoking" room. Icing on the cake was when I realized after I left the motel, I had what I'm assuming bed bug bites, under my chin, chest and around my wrist. The welts didn't develop until I scratched at them. One night.

Good- Staff was nice and friendly, sheets were clean (aside from top cover sheet) and the shower tub was clean, no bugs. This should be bare minimum at any hotel, though so it's sad I have to include that in the good. Bad- Smell: The first room we checked into smelled like cigarettes really badly, so we asked to change rooms. The second room also smelled very badly of cigarettes but not quite as bad as the first so we just stayed there as it would've been very expensive to get another hotel that short of notice. The smell was terrible even though these rooms were supposed to be non-smoking rooms. We bought Ozium to spray but that didn't even help which tells you how bad it was. The smoke was soaked into the paintings in the room and the walls so there was nothing to do to try and rid the smell. Cleanliness: The floors of the rooms have never been mopped- they had stuff on them and if you wiped any part of the floor the rag would be black, it was disgusting. The bed skirts look like they have never been washed and have stains all over them, same for the cover sheet that goes on top of the bed (we just completely removed that). The bathroom was decent, but you could tell the vent, behind the toilet, and some of the hardware hasn't been cleaned in awhile. Overall: Would not recommend staying here. Pay the extra $15 a night to stay some place cleaner. I travel every weekend for business and try to book the cheapest but cleanest place based on reviews. I messed up with this.

Bed frame was moving a lot, hair dryer didnt work, lamps were broken and not working, shower not working.. can't stop complaining..

Staff at night and early morning was great. Especially the gentleman that checked us in. He was most helpful and polite and professional. By far the best part of our stay.

Night staff was rude as could be & breakfast was pretty much nothing . Definitely worth staying somewhere else . Staff was extremely rude 5/23, was immediately rude and yelled for me to “just give her a second” bc she was sitting on the phone on hold when I walked in the door to check in . Then began to interrogate me on how many people were “actually” staying in my room since my rental car was a mini van ! Definitely will NEVER stay here again .

Extremely late check-in (2:15a) but the front desk clerk was ready & waiting & had me in my room in no time

the stay would have been ok of housekeeping had taken care of our room while visiting family. I have never stayed anywhere that the room was not cleaned and items like towels were replaced and bed made by staff while room was not occupied by us. I have stayed weeks on the road working and not ever had this problem. thanks to the person manning the front desk we were able to get towels and other items needed that I was allowed to get myself. Very poor housekeeping there.

Evening staff was friendly and helpful. Morning staff were rude and pushy except house keepers. They were very friendly polite and helpful

Front desk staff was very nice and helped with food recommendations. Very convenient location while traveling. Worked perfectly for a place to sleep for the night as we traveled through for a lot less than the hotel next door.

We stayed there to give us a break to sleep on a long car trip back home to Florida from Tennessee. The check-in process was easy enough, and the room was clean. We really only stopped to sleep so we didn’t see a lot of the property as a whole. What really impressed me was the level of service and care from the staff. A few hours after checking out, I was riding through Georgia when a staff member called me to tell me housekeeping found my wallet. Unable to turn around to get it, the staff member (I want to say her name was Janet.) discussed with me options of having my wallet shipped home for me. I’ve never received that level of service before and I want to commend Janet and the Super 8 for everything they have done.

Non-smoking rooms smelled strongly of smoke so asked to be moved to a different room, which smelled less of smoke but smelled like pets had been kept in the room. The parking was nearly impossible to manage because of huge potholes and a chain link fence that made the area so narrow it was difficult to back out of the spaces. Highway noise was so loud that it was very difficult to fall asleep. The sound of people walking on the floor above us in a normal manner was so loud that it awakened us when we were sleeping. The shower was badly patched and dirty. The toilet roll holder was broken and there were 2 rolls of mostly used toilet paper on the back of the toilet. There were cigarette burn holes in the bed spread. There were spots and stains of who-knows-what on the floor between the 2 beds. To get to one's room, you had to pass by men in t-shirts smoking in the dark stairwells. We would never, never, never stay here again nor could we recommend it to anyone.

I've stayed at this motel twice in 10 days, traveling to and from vacation destination. I wish I hadn't prepaid, because tis is the worst motel I've ever experienced. It's dirty, the staff is incompetent, the "free breakfast" is a joke. I actually feel that $65 is a rip off.

They did not have hot tea in the breakfast.

Toilet didn’t work. Bed hard. Even coffee machine in lobby had been broken for 3 days and still didn’t work.

Everything was OK. They ask Credit card for security. Breakfast was cheap and not a lot of choices, but nice

There was dog poop stuck to the floor in the closet. The drain was clogged with hair and if you didn’t lock the door as soon as you pushed it closed it would open again. There was not a continental breakfast like stated

The hotel itself is terrible. The comforter was not just stained, but was soiled. It had not been cleaned. The blanket on the bed was full of black hair and cigarette holes. Absolutely disgusting. The tub had mold around it. Now, let's talk about their free "breakfast". A selection of 3 cold cereals, packs of instant oatmeal, granola bars and stale bread to make toast. That's it. The coffee was the only solid performer. The area is as sketchy as the hotel.

Please change information, from breakfast to continental breakast, I dont think I've ever had a worse breakfast, everything was the cheapest food they could find, and the milk ws set out at room temp!

I chose the hotel on price and location next to a restaurant. I was disappointed. The location was great but room was not. Outside was not good with people walking around late at night. I found bugs in the bed. I was up all night thinking about it. Breakfast was very minimal. Instant oatmeal and coffee.
