Okay for a one-night stay while traveling. Everything was very clean and relatively up-to-date. Breakfast offerings were typical (waffle maker, sausage, eggs, cereal, etc.). Pool area was clean and water temperature was decent.

Our room had a musty moldy smell that never went away even after running the A/C full time. The gym treadmills didnt even work. The belt couldn't keep up and basically the 2 treadmills didn't work.

Okay facility, drinking fountain didn’t work, 2 of the 4 pieces of equipment in the fitness center did not work and price increased at hotel from hotels.com. Felt safe, not the nicest of La Quintas we’ve stayed in.

Easy access to the freeway. If you have read the other reviews about the pillows, bring yours from home! The pool is small, clean and warm being indoors. The gym is not much but all hotels are this way. The only thing you can do is cardio the weight machine is broke. The staff was friendly and happy to serve. We would stay here again if traveling back to the state.

When we checked in, it was not bad. Receptionist was quick. As we entered the room, it had a awful odor and felt muggy. We change the AC settings and it still had that awful odor lingering the whole stay. I checked the bedding and there wasn't anything concerning, but when sleeping it was very itchy. Bathroom and toilet were still dirty. I wish I had taken pictures. Breakfast was okay. Toasters were not working. I would not recommend staying.

While the front desk staff was very nice the building was run down with broken screens and locks and the room itself was not very clean, with previous dog hair and poop stains on the bed. There also were cockroaches in the room. This hotel is not worth the cost.

The first too we were assigned smelled terrible and there was still dried toothpaste in the sink. We were given a different room that was smaller (no sitting area) that didn’t smell but was dusty.

It seems they are under new mgmt and are working on updating any previous bad reviews. We stayed 1 night and found the halls very quiet. The rugs do need a good shampoo but there wa not any foul smells. They have a small store selling toiletries, candy.. etc.

The air conditioning unit was functional but very noisy/clunky and the shower barely had any cold water to mix with the hot water I didn't mind the no carpet in my room and the beds were comfortable

Steve was very friendly & helpful. Our room was 85 degrees when we arrived so it took like 5-6 hours to get it cooled down & he gave us a fan to help.

I stayed two nights, they did not clean my room while I was out during the second day. I paid a small fee to upgrade to a suit and it tiny separate space (not a room there was no door) wit a couch and an old TV. It was not a real suit.

Not so good. First Lady we encountered when we arrived after the 10 hr trip was very nice. The lady that took over for her the next day was the exact opposite, she seemed pissed and annoyed I asked for fresh towels and toilet paper as our room was almost out of Tp when we arrived the first night. Evening lady was just like the first very friendly. However rooms were a 5 out of 10. You have to ask for towels and toilet paper and my bed sheet had a blood stain on it so instead of chancing rudeness in asking for it to be changed my fiancé and I just slept in the other bed. Overall I’d give a 5 out of 10.

I booked a king suite for 3 people and 2 pets, when we arrived we were told that we booked a king suite for one person and no pets and there was not a pet friendly king suite available. I don't know if Hotels.com or LaQuinta messed up?but the only room available was a two queen bed suite to accommodate my family of 3 people and 2 dogs. We were understandably upset by this after being in the car for eleven hours and the clerk threatened not to give us a room at all if we were going to be upset. Anyways, I calmed the clerk back down and we took the queen suite. The lobby of the hotel looked nice enough but the hallway smelled like smoke and the room smelled strongly of mold or mildew and was extremely damp to the point of clothes feeling wet in the morning. Also the air conditioner never shut off and made an awful noise all night. We choose LaQuinta because they are usially very nice hotels that accept our 2 larger dogs and have king suites that allow for privacy for our family while still being together. We will try LaQuinta again, but we defi itely will not be staying at the LaQuinta in Powell, TN ever again. The LaQuinta in Chattanooga,TN on the 1st leg of our vacation was worlds better than the one in Powell, TN on our return trip - do not stay at the LaQuinta in Powell, TN!

They didn’t have enough keys for the two of us. They key were did hey didn’t work the day of checkout - couldn’t get back into the building had to walk all the way around front. Stopped at front desk rude Indian woman dismissed me, said she could see the key worked on her computer. And that the side doors were tricky?? I go upstairs and it doesn’t work. She finally agrees to come up and then says that my friend so was sound asleep locked out from the inside. I had to police bag on the door to get him up to open the door for me. He did not lock it from the inside. She did not fix the key and threatened to call the police. Told her to go ahead. Let’s see if they can get the key to work. Worst hotel ever.

The service was poor at best on check in and check out. I know staffing is difficult but basic greetings and attempt to be helpful is not too much to expect. Breakfast was below poor, few selections, out of several items that never got refilled. Coffee was so watered down we had to go out for breakfast. Spend extra money to stay elsewhere.

The front desk gentleman was very kind and accommodating when we arrived. I had been driving all day on little sleep. We did not have a reservation and he just made me feel at ease and treated me like i was a vip. I had been out of town for a family emergency and was so exhausted. He got us in a room quickly and made sure we had everything we needed to get a good nights sleep. I was so tired I do not remember his name , but I will always remember his kindness! Thank you sir!

The property was clean, quiet and convenient, just off I-75. Their morning coffee wasn’t the best but there is a Starbucks close by. They also accommodate larger dogs than many other hotels. We will be back.

Property wad average. Beds were excellant. AC was not on so it took several hours for the room to cool down. Checkin said breakfast wss available fom 6 -10am.in reality it was 6 -9. Got there at 8.45 waffle and Bagels only option. Carpet in dining area dirty.

This property offers a nice area for your dog to walk around. It was quiet when we were there. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only recommendation would be to get a different type of scrambled eggs, instead of the egg patties.

People were nice, place was clean. Needed some upkeep with card readers falling apart/ off the wall. Breakfast was not good. Out of coffee, eggs looked like they’d been sitting to long - left and went somewhere else. Still, I so we pt good and moved on.

When we checked in, it was not bad. Receptionist was quick. As we entered the room, it had a awful odor and felt muggy. We change the AC settings and it still had that awful odor lingering the whole stay. I checked the bedding and there wasn't anything concerning, but when sleeping it was very itchy. Bathroom and toilet were still dirty. I wish I had taken pictures. Breakfast was okay. Toasters were not working. I would not recommend staying.

The service was poor at best on check in and check out. I know staffing is difficult but basic greetings and attempt to be helpful is not too much to expect. Breakfast was below poor, few selections, out of several items that never got refilled. Coffee was so watered down we had to go out for breakfast. Spend extra money to stay elsewhere.

The hotel was nice and staff were very friendly. You can tell they work together well to make sure accommodations are kept up. The breakfast had several warm and cold options with coffee and tea available around the clock which we always enjoy. We would stay here again.

Our room was clean and the staff was very helpful when we could not get the ac unit to turn on. The front desk lady said let me switch you to another room and when we could not figure that one out she called her manager and figure it out. The parking was lacking but we were able to get one spot on the backside of the building with the side entrance available. Would stay again when we visit Tennessee again.

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s usually quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff is very nice and efficient. The room was good. The housekeeping did not check the supplies. We used 3 Kleenex and the box ran out with no backup stock (and it was late and I didn’t want to call). Then when we took our showers, there was no shampoo in the dispenser. The pillows were little better than sleeping on the mattress. Overall our room was nice but the lack of attention to small things made you wonder about what you don’t see.

The room smelled so strongly of urine and was clearly a former smoking room. Certain parts of the room were updated but the TV is ancient and the bathroom smelled horrible. The AC wasn't doing much regardless of the setting. It was uncomfortably humid and warm.
